    Great video. I have the Super Hot system just like your video and recently I am trying to add a Nest Thermostate which requires me to install the Nest Power Connector. However, I am having trouble to figure out where to connect the c-wire to the zone control board as it seems to have different wiring label. Appreciate if you can help.

    Really excellent video! Thank you!!! This helped me troubleshoot what I think is a bad flow control valve. The heat is stuck on even when thermostat is off with batteries out and no short in those wires. That flow control valve’s end switch is outputing 26 VAC on both wires (not neutral or thermostat W / heat wires) even though the thermostat signal is 0 / not calling for heat. Never knew or seen a heating system with a failure that kept it stuck on. Usually it’s off because bad thermostat batteries, open circuit, or a failed component.

    • @tgrobelny23
      @tgrobelny23 3 місяці тому

      If it’s stuck on, I first check for shorted thermostat wires in the wall behind the thermostat or elsewhere because if you strip the wires back too much/far, when you push the thermostat to the wall and secure it in place, those wires can be touching the exposed copper and shorting which calls for heat even if the thermostat internal switch is open / not calling for heat.

    Thanks for the video. My super hot mini gas has a 4 zone card but I see the contractor hooked up all 3 zones to only 1 zone on the card. Im thinking I will run individual wires to the Stats, zone valves and End stop Switches. That way I can see the zone lights on the card come on. He also used one of the zones 24V to feed a flow valve that comes off the water tank. I assume that is OK.?
    Over time both outputs on the card that feed the 120V circulating pumps are blown so instead of buying a $400 card I have the pumps hard wired 24/7. Im not very good at soldering but I ordered a $16 output relay to try to repair the card and if that works I am going to get a relay the card will feed which will take the stress off the card outputs. Im not a furnace guy and Id love to know if Im on the right track before I start snipping wires. Thanks for any input.

    I bought a house that has hydronic baseboard heating with a Weil McLain boiler. Unfortunately, the boiler was not used for five years. What is likely to fail in such a system during that time? I'm planning on repairing the plumbing, which has burst at certain points. After that, I'm looking for a professional to turn the boiler on. How do I synchronize my work with the specialist? I am first checking if there are no leaks in the circuit that heats the water for kitchen/bathroom faucets and showers. So far so good.

    Does hydraulic heating the same as this boiler system (according to the title of your video)? I saw an article talks about one of the benefits of hydraulic heating systems is that " Forced air systems can draw moisture out of the air while heating it; hydraulic heating systems don’t dry out your home like other radiant heating systems since they use a liquid in a closed system to heat your home." is that correct? because I saw the other "guru" talks about the benefit of the forced air system is that "forced air system has the benefit of speedy heated, area control and has to humidify/dehumidify implication." What is the better system when encountering a dry and heated indoor air situation?

    Hi , its about Mini Gas Super Hot boiler . Recently I replaced the thermo couple because the pilot kept going off frequently. But after replacing the thermo couple the pilot light kept going off within one minute after main burner starts firing ; if the main burner does not cut in pilot burner runs continuously. However the problem resolved once I closed the round hole beside the pilot burner ( for inserting the ignitor to the pilot burner) by moving the sliding plate. Now the boiler is running continuously but the flame is yellow ; I guess the air flow has been reduced by closing the sliding door beside the pilot burner. Please advise whether is it ok to close the sliding door ? what to do about the yellow main flame ?Amman Zaman

    Do all boilers circulate an antifreeze coolant water mixture? If true then the hot water storage tank contain that same mixture correct? Great video. Thanks!

    • @PROSDIY
      @PROSDIY  2 роки тому

      It is optional to run a glycol/water mixture. On my personal home I only run straight water as I have 2 heat sources in the case one goes out. The benefit of glycol/water mix is that if the system fails then the system won't freeze up. The benefit of straight water or treated water is it is slightly more efficient. You're correct, if I was to use a glycol/water mix I would mix it at the feed/storage tank. Thanks for the questions! Cheers!

    Our boiler isn't starting. House temp is down to 65 and all 4 zones are set to 70 . Still no boiler firing ( pilot is on ). The water temperature of all supply lines are cold.
    I found that if I turn OFF the power switch to the boiler system at the boiler I hear zone valve operating then all is quiet. I wait for maybe 30 to 60 seconds and switch ON the power and I see flu valve opens and the boiler lights off the system builds up heat and circulation. It seems to work normally until it satisfies the zone Temp and shuts down. Some how killing the power switch seems to reset the system and starts the boiler burner. Something is not sending the message to the boiler start control.
    But yet it gets the message when I switch OFF the power monetarily and then back ON

    Did I see your Water Pressure at only 10psi ? for it to be between 1 or 2 BARs ( 14psi = 1 BAR) that would be 20+psi It so happens mine is only 10psi too -- How do you increase the water pressure ? Show me that for an MG75( very similar to yours) and I'll send you lots of money that I would otherwise throw at a HVAC guy.
