The thing about this isn't just the flexibility, the agility, or the ability to hit it down the line or cross court. It's the fact that, like the best players of every sport, he has fundamentally changed the game of tennis forever. You can no longer play from the back of the court and stay in rallies unless you've got this in your arsenal. Carlitos, Sinner, Rune, all the up-and-coming next generation of superstars have this already. They can slide on any court. Maybe not as good as Novak, but this is now the norm and it's because the game has been changed by the best player -- like Steph Curry did to basketball, or Lionel Messi did to football, or Wayne Gretzky did to hockey.
He changed the game in lifted to a completly new level from 2011, and every new year he was getting better and better in every department. He was great in 2007, Fed and Rafa were not better even then. The difference was his stamina , because of health issues that kept him out of doing more damage.Somewhere until 2015 he was a player with perfection if you could call anyone perfect. He had all shots perfectly effecient, combined with his flawless athleticism and the most important, his mind , quickness of thinking and mentality never seen ever.
never compare dwarves like messi or chicken curry to Djokovic, they are irrelevant compared to him, and have not achieved anything special in their respective sports to be even part of the conversation about any kind of goat of sports...
The body in action when hitting that shot might not look elegant like when Federer hits a backhand but the result is magnificent and it defies science. Of course defying science is a little exaggerating but it means “nearly impossible” or “only 1 out of 100” chance.
Go back to the old school when you play Novak. The standard approach shot now is the inside out topspin approach to the opponent's BH. Novak feats on this shot, as we see. When Santoro beat him in straight sets, he used his two handed slice approach to the BH and had better success. More players should try that shot sometimes. or a one handed version of it, just to mix it up. IT can be short or deep to be effective, and it gives you more time to close in on the net, and is tougher to lob.
Very few have had success against Novak, old school or not. Most of his defeats in his career, was during his his banning were he was unable to get any decent match play.
@@groethej I agree. I'm his biggest fan. I'm not saying my suggestion would "solve" him, but it might work once in a while. He just murders those topspin approaches.....
I said it then, and I'll say it again...........nobody defends like him, and nobody gets to more balls than him driving opponents crazy, never seen a player turn defense into instant offense like Nole can... The Goat!

You gotta tell that to ppl who say that Federer and Nadal changed the game and Novak didn’t

Never gonna get tired of that shot, the screeching shoes, an extended grunt and the ball going past a baffled opponent.

Novak has the greatest and the most efficient backhand ever.
Djokovic was scary good in these black clothes, that season was outstanding ❤.
The greatest backhand ever..
FedCucks can keep the Miss Pretty title😅
NoVax the Serbianator is simply the goat
It doesn't defy science as much as it turns defence into offence in the most purest and perfect form

Your Federer tried..did not work

counter attacks rather than defending. Nadal is better in the defensive side while Djokovic can somehow "attack" while being in a defensive position.
Is the one vs Sinner at Wim where he landed on his stomach like an airplane missing in this video?
There are no grand slam points in this video if you have noticed
@@NovakIndiaFansI see. Are you not allowed to show them?
why is the video at 1.25x speed in some of the points?
