- After all the time of being frustrated with the wheel speed of this car I finally swapped in a 4.6 differential. The car is an absolute rocket ship now. It feels like a whole new car and is making drifting even more addicting. If you have a stock 4.08 differential in your CD009 swapped car change it! Thank you to Brian for helping me weld and install the diff!

Dino Calia nah 4.6 is perfect. But I have the 4.08 just in case if something breaks. No wheel speed with the 4.08

Hey man I was just curious to know by any chance did you notice any sort of TopSpeed decrease? I’m shopping for a 4.6 diff as well but I’m also going to be daily driving it and I didn’t wanna be driving at highway speeds with the revs are high
Yeah on the street or highway it is not great. You’ll be very high in the rpm’s

@@MattShulman what if you went with a let's say ZF 8 speed and a 4.10 how well would that be for daily driving and occasionally drifting? Cause I want a good amount of low end torque as well as highway pickup speed

What year xterra did you pull it from?
So the 4.6 is to lengthen 3rd? I'm running a cd009 and just went from the 4 08 to a 3.56 from a g35 to lengthen 2nd I assumed. Are 1st and 2nd non existent with the 4.6 or is that a better option for me?
Danno Dee it depends on how you drive and how you want the car to feel. 3.5 is good gearing with a cd. I just wanted to be in third. Makes the car torqey.
