My imagination is that it is Jafar and his 2 guards and his dress up palace helpers and that he talks about his plans actually between 0:52 - 1:05 he is doing a Jafar imitation.
Jonathan Freeman is a very talented broadway actor. He did a great job being the voice of Jafar from Disney's 1992 movie Aladdin and the 1994 sequel The Return of Jafar!
@ChapmaniacPictures He did it three or four times. (runs, not performances.) he took over for matthew broderick, and then when he and lane came back in december of 2003, he went back to carmen and then when they left went back to leo. he did it a few sets of times.
Jafar's got plenty of lamps, why did he want that one lamp. Oh yeah, he could wish for anything he want. But then again, there's that "proviso" of making people fall in love with you. (sorry)
With the exception of Richard Kind and Roger Brooks, everyone else in this excerpt seems to have been studying the book "The Art Of Coarse Acting". I find it strange that the production manager or stage manager or Someone didn't rein in some of the grosser ham acting here.
Never knew Roger Bart went back to do Leo!!!
9:04 You just know, from the audience's laughter, Leo's offscreen almost boning the champagne guy while dancing.
BROOKS ASHMANSKAS:
The MOST underrated actor on Broadway
BUT SERIOUSLY. To do this in front of the original Carmen Ghia must be terrifying but he kills it!
@@BroadwayBabe131 I can't imagine how the understudy Franz Liebkinds must've felt acting opposite Brad Oscar as Max.
@@tysargent9647 oooh good thought too.
"GRANNY'S GONNA GRAB YA!"
Nate Hausmann I spat out my drink 😂😂😂
That’s from his song you’re only second rate!

Lol this Carmen is awesome!!!
Que impresionante la transformación de Bart, de Carmen Ghia a Leo Bloom!
I always knew Jafar was gay.
I can not get jafar In drags out of my head.. it’s just awesome

Cheers for that info mate. Very interesting.
Jafar looks good in a dress. ;)
Jonathan Freeman has been disguised as a woman?! Oh dear! o.O
