You're so right. Although he did say he had an exam on Monday he should have stayed at prom. He did say he didn't say he didn't want to ruin her night. Conrad has a way of thinking that he is doing her a favour by staying away when he is struggling. Losing his Mom was so hard for him because he was the oldest and the man of the house in his Dad's absence. The prom was also near the end for Susannah.
This song fits them soo well. The unsaid words and feelings between them, the millions of signs they sent out to each other in silence but failed to catch them. They love each other beyond words, they just really need to talk and open up to each other more than the first time. They need to get over their insecurities and let themselves be vulnerable with each other.

Jeremiah (the actor) seems far more interesting, plays his character better and seems to be having way more chemistry with belly on the show. Even though she loves Conrad, belly in the show makes the audience wonder “why though, when Jeremiah is right there?”. I think is one of those instances like Gone with the wind and vampire diaries where it’s clear that the female lead is in love with one person, but the audience wants her with another.
@@blymperopoulou5410what?? chris briney is 100% the best actor on the show. it’s the fact that he’s able to show emotion without over dramatizing it which is something i think gavin does quite often. conrad’s character is moody, depressed, and pretty mysterious honestly. he doesn’t show emotion to many people and so that’s why chris may seem “boring” it’s because he’s playing conrad fisher so freaking well
