- This week Dennis & Liz roll through southern Oregon to visit the very eclectic town of Ashland! Ashland is home to the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, magical sulphur springs & beautiful Lithia park. But, that's not what we're here for. Full time RV living demands that you push the "reset button" every now & then, especially when keeping your fridge stocked & recycling can empty.
🛒We took full advantage of Ashland's amazing Rouge Valley Farmers Market which happens on Saturdays from 8:30am - 1:00pm May - October, located on Oak Street between Lithia & Main. Then walked a few blocks North to the equally awesome Ashland Food Co-op to finish off our grocery list!
From there we were grateful to find that the cities large recycle center was very accepting of most of the items we had to recycle!
⚠️☠️GPS will get you there, but BEWARE if you're coming from the downtown area there is a low bridge (11' vertical clearance) on the corner of Van Ness & Water Street just before the recycle center. MAKE SURE you drive in from Hersey St if you plan to stop with your rig!
On our way back home we stop at a local farm to grab some raw milk. A rare find because of dairy laws in Oregon!

You're right, fresh local food is good food! Totally understand on the non milk thing. Liz used to be lactose intolerant and drank almond milk for a while until switching to raw milk, which doesnt upset her at all. The hippie music was great wasn't it? We actually saw them at umqua hot springs a few days before too. Small world! - Liz

Hello! Love your videos :) we just moved to Gold Beach, Oregon area and are looking for raw milk, where is the farm you found yours at?? I cant seem to find any around here.
Hi Meghan! Thanks for watching - glad you enjoy the videos. Gold Beach is supposed to be beautiful! We cannot share the exact farm as they asked us specifically not to, but we found them with just a little internet research. So they should be easy to find. I believe Oregon is a cow sharing state, meaning if they have over a certain number of cows on the farm you have to participate in "owning the cows" for people to also enjoy the raw milk. So the key is finding a small farm you can buy from randomly, or a large farm to buy from consistently. Hope this helps! - Liz

With that said please be respectful (not saying you wouldn't be) & call ahead to make sure it's ok to visit the farm & purchase from them.
Please keep in mind that these farms are the families home as well as their business & it is a great privilege for us to be able to build a relationship directly with the farmers who put so much effort & love into the produce they provide to us! - Dennis ✌️

It’s ok to be scared…but protect your child. I don’t care what their psychiatric diagnosis is. Be a man a defend your children. Grow some balls and show your children dad is there to protect the. No matter what.
