I've decided to do that this year, too! Also, you can work your way up to your goals, rather than feeling overwhelmed by how big they are. I think this is a much more realistic approach.
This video is very sweet to me. We found out this month that I'm pregnant, and started reading Lord of the Rings because those were the books my parents read when they were pregnant with me. I'm also trying to learn more about my own tarot deck, so this is teaching me another way to use it.
New years eve i decided to draw 3 different cards, an oracle, a mindful messages card and an affirmation card. I wrote my thoughts behind all the messages and meditated/manifested for the new year. I then took a nice ritual bath including some self care. I journaled and relaxed with candles. It was uplifting, motivating and I am looking forward to the new year. Thank you always for your wonderful videos.
I actually did a new years reading instead of resolutions this year too and I’ve never felt more motivated and on track!!! 😍 I recently had a baby and lost a lot of myself in the past year as I’ve figured out how to be a mom and my mission was to reconnect with myself and find my passions again! Spend less time wasting my free time on my phone disassociating from the stress and use it to paint and read and do things that make my life feel fulfilling and give me a sense of self 🥰 I DIDNT think to do it as a story like this though and kinda wanna have a girls night with my friends where we do DND tarot forecasts for the year 😆 I love this so much!!!

My spread was Merlin for healing energy, Green Man to retreat into Nature, Pallas Athena to detach from drama, and the discovery was Moses to take charge of this situation. This feels like the path I have been attempting to walk for a while as I recover from a horrible situation which led to burnout. Sending love to all of you. So hilarious anyway I’m a Capricorn as well and I think of January here in the north east United States as a month of mind relaxation. Meaning excluding birthdays and anniversary’s it’s a cold quiet month with no pressure of a big holiday of sorts to worry about and the older children are going back to school so for me it’s a month of cleaning organization and those pesky phone calls like making appointments and such I like to make refreshing simmer pots and open windows to let in fresh air , I like winter walks and self care and the big point of this is all these things are done at your comfortable pace without concerns if anything is done on time it’s a no rush month a clarity of the mind month and that’s how it’s my fresh start with no New Year’s resolution. Anyway I adore this video this will be fun to try.

I tried the adventure card pull. Apparently I have a lot of shadow work to do. Basically my quest is to stop letting fears hold me back - and stop constantly apologizing for myself. It was much easier and more interesting than the usual new year 12 card pull.
Just did this with my Röhrig tarot and used the Enchanted Map oracle cards as clarifiers... wow. I have been packing everyday for over a month... a box at a time trying to plan what's next... my quest is one of self care, resetting, and letting go to see what's next come to me instead of planning every single step... wish I could share a 📸 of my quest map (cards)!
I think instead of making New Year’s resolutions. For me it is better if I set a new intention and stick with that. Also I am online to become a yoga instructor and it is called the heroes journey😊Blessed Be 🙏❤️
This is spread seems better suited for my New Year Resolution plans - insights that help with goal achievement over setting goals. I actually do get a lot done in a year, however it's rarely the goals I set out to achieve at the beginning of the year.

Happy New Year! Long ago I made one resolution that I've managed to keep and that was to never make another New Year's resolution again. It's taken all the weight off my shoulders and has made it possible for me to progress from year to year. It doesn't mean I don't make goals to achieve during the year but it does mean I don't set myself up for failure. When I explain this to people I always get funny looks cause they don't understand why I won't follow tradition and make resolutions.
Very well said, and I absolutely agree. I gave up on setting traditional New Year's resolutions of losing weight, etc., long ago, and my life was better for it. Now I need to figure out a new system of setting longer term goals for the next few years. I realize that my brain has a knee-jerk response to anyone, including me, telling me that I "must" do anything. I got over my inability to ever meet my savings goals by just setting up a recurring bank transfer from my checking account to my savings account. I just see it and forgot about it. It turned out that not having that money to spend didn't have any real impact on my life, and I am actually able to save additional money.. Now if only I can figure out a way to get and keep my home cleaner, I'd feel much less stressed.

I try to take one day at a time. I also try to give myself a break and not get upset when things don't go my way. Life happens.

This is a great spin on the yearly resolutions that my brain squirrels typically dump 3 days later... I might actually be able to keep up with this one, because it's so different and personalized! It's also incentive to use my tarot cards and learn them a little better, so every yearly overview will be easier to understand. 😄
You make it 3 whole days? I used to write down my resolutions in a fresh notebook/journal, so I could track my progress, and then promptly forget all about them until I happened to open that notebook or journal again a year or 3 later.

Although, I may redo it, if it feels wrong since i did use a different method to pick the cards instead of my preferred method. Regardless, that's on me. Thank you for the new spread! My cards' outcome was a bit confusing, but I'm going to try and reflect upon it to see what drew me to these cards. Although, I may redo it, if it feels wrong since i did use a different method to pick the cards instead of my preferred method. Regardless, that's on me. Im just excited to have another spread to practice with. Also, congrats on your new cards! I love the fact that they're dorky. That's endearing.
