    Best video I’ve seen for teaching all aspects of front crawl in one. We have been practising in our paddling pool in anticipation of the pools opening again! Would love to see some Dryland videos. Thanks.

    I am the beginner so I have difficulty in breathing or maybe am just old 😊.my couch insists to the breath in 10 seconds and doing 4 times paddling/ crawling which is very difficult. I was thinking this and now I know that I should take a breath after gliding like you did in the video so I have enough air in my lungs ,will try tomorrow. after watching so many videos from others only you give me the answer, thank you! I will like to watch “how to breathing “while swimming

    • @mbach30
      @mbach30 7 років тому

      well, I just wasn't able to get my breathing technique down coz water would always end up up nose or I'd swallow a lot of water..haha...but I think how you explained it step by step and also watching you demonstrate the stroke...I noticed you came up to breathe just as soon as your arm went in..I think I was taking breaths when my arm was coming out so water would splash all over my face... Id actually given up on the freestyle but I'm practicing now..and no water up my nose or in my mouth today. I can't think of anything that didn't go well, except for the fact that coz I'm a beginner I tire quickly...

      Hello Priya, Thanks for the reply. The easier option is to look behind you instead of sideways. If you look over your should as you go to take a breath this should be easier and less likely to swallow water. ;)

    My own big question that no one ever mentions/answers, when you take the breath in, are you pushing out the breath UNDER the water? I used to swim the length of the pool, and tilted my head for the breath, but what I was really doing was holding my breath the entire time. I would just be exhausted when I would finish one lap. I think I’m old enough now to really learn how to swim. It’s the breath thing that I don’t understand.

      Hey Mary, here’s everything you need to know regarding breathing techniques.

    I am a beginning swimmer. I used to run 4 to 5 miles a day until my knees got to hurting so bad I needed an alternative. I watched probably close to a hundred videos and had heard of the hand tag method of the front crawl, but nobody showed doing it while using a ring. Now, using the ring, I glide more between strokes and have slowed myself down. My breathing is more controlled and I can stroke rhythmically which makes for more even breaths and I don't find myself gasping for air. My question is : where can I find one of these rings to buy for myself so that I can put it in my swim bag and train with it?

    Watching tons of learning how to swim videos led me to this one, great job. I'm 42 and trying to learn, it's been tough. My legs always sink when trying to alternate hands using a kick board. How do I avoid that? Thank you.

    • @ShweMyaukMyauk
      @ShweMyaukMyauk 2 роки тому +1

      Are you pushing the kick board down or forward. When starting out it’s very easy to put pressure and all hopes and fears on it. I am 40 and been learning to swim via UA-cam videos for nearly a month. Front crawl is not easy. I practise almost everyday and there days where there is no progress at all. Or so it seems. I just managed to finally do the stroke and breathe a few round before sinking completely but it’s all about practise

    • @theswimspecialist6036
      @theswimspecialist6036  2 роки тому +1

      Stretching is a major key point! Stretch your hands and legs when kicking. Elongate your body as much as possible. 👍🏼💙

    Hello Nathaniel, I am learning to swim for last 8 months. I can swim on my back, push and glide. My teacher says my body alignment is good. The moment I start my hand movement my legs stops kicking. If I manage to move hands and legs, breathing seems to be challenge. I cannot swim sideways, holding disc in one hand. Please suggest. Thank you.

    • @theswimspecialist6036
      @theswimspecialist6036  5 років тому

      Hello Shailhem, thank you for sharing. Continue to practice the superman to master the breathing. If it's to difficult with the disc you need more buoyancy. Revert back to the float or tied up noodle. Get the head turn 100% comfortable before you progress. ;) i hope this helps.

      The last challenge is all about the timing of the stroke. If you count in your head 1,2,3.. 4,5,6.. this will help sync your arms, legs and breathing.. Take a look.ua-cam.com/video/i6vIFdTy5Uc/v-deo.html

    • @theswimspecialist6036
      @theswimspecialist6036  6 років тому

      Ask somebody to video your stroke, then repeat whilst telling yourself to bring out of the water a 'high elbow'. Meaning your elbow exits the water first upon recovery.
