Awesome analysis dude, I was in doubt about the choice that headphone to buy, to be honest I was between bluedio T5 / T6. Now I'm sure of what to get. Again, thanks for the review.
do you review “high end” headphones? I would be interested in your opinion about the Sennheiser 550, Bose QC 35, Sony WH3’s etc..in comparison to ones like these Edifiers.
I've only seen several of your videos, but I enjoyed them every time, this one included. I actually bought the Bluedio T6s based on your review, and now you got me looking at the W830BT. Are they much louder than the T6s? Not being loud enough is my only problem with the Bluedios.
Just bought these based on the recommendation from you and Travis - 1000% stoked with them! Had to get the *cough* gold *cough* colour as they were AU$110 vs $AU$180 for the black! Keep up the great content man!
Hey Jefe, another great video. It just make me want to buy each and every good one lol... Keep up the good work =) . If I may, let me give you a suggestion (for a future video), that may help me, you and a lot of guys =) Make a ranking (divided by ANC and not ANC) of budget headphones in your opinion =) Of course, if this does not generate any kind of problem for you. Thanks again for your work. Have a great New Year.
I really like Edifier's products and bought the 830's. Had to send them back, sounded strange. If anybody gets the one set that's bad, it's me. They sounded out of phase, like I was listening to things in a tunnel. Not bashing Edifier, just had to go a different route after. Went with the Cleer DU Bluetooth, like them a lot.
Wow! Thank you. But I have a question for you. Don't you think that model 860 is better? It looks more comfortable, has ANC. Yes, for some reasons the battery is weaker, but for $20-$30 more you are getting newer and probably better (not the battery) model? What are your thoughts about compare of those two? Thanks again Mike
The problem is that they're not $20-$30 more. The 860 are more than double the price at $169.99 versus $69.99. Thats a huge price jump. I am going to be testing them out though. I bet those are going to be seriously good.
Hi, Jefe. I love your videos so much and it help me a bunch to list the options out there. People been recommending some brands to me and I think this one convinced me a lot. The problem is I been reading reviews both in amazon and aliexpress that there are some problems with Edifier w830bt. Most people complain about volume control that's not working and also the sound quality that's not up to their expectation. What do you think? And I'm the kind of person who prefer clarity over bass, do you think this one got it? My friend told me I should get audio technica instead if I'm looking for clarity.
Your friend is correct. Audio-Technica is a more neutral sound with far better clarity and substantially less bass. The m50x would be the best choice if you go that route.
Thx for your review (also watched your earlier Sept review of the W830BT). Was referred to your channel by Travis McP and his recent review of same. Question -- did you ever test the bluetooth "lag" when watching videos? I'm talking about how often bluetooth headphones are slightly out of sync with someone's mouth moving in a video. Which, of course, while great for listening to music makes it hard (impossible) to watch a movie or a video.
Video latency is one of my top 3 tests I do. These dont have any lag in my experience. The only time I see lag is usually on the UA-cam app for iOS but thats an issue within the app itself since there is no latency with Netflix, Hulu, Prime Video or any others.
Yes. The w830bt features 80+ hour playback time and are very comfortable. The Edifier w860nb is the ANC version but they are double the price and the battery life is cut in half.
OM SWASTIASTU... Hi Jeff, greeting from Bali. Your honest review is affecting me. You already become my orientation to make decission regarding the Audio gadget. Year 2020 is coming, i am prety sure that you already review some other headphone. Have you found any headphone better than Edifier W830BT? Of course with same price range. If you found it, please share it to us so i can prepare my 'shoping list' for 2020. Thanks bro.
@@ELJefeReviews Thanks for the quick answer, I think I would go for the 855's since they seem to be better, at least in specs, keep the good work bro, your channel is awesome for us audiohpiles in a budget
Great review man! Just out of curiosity, are there some cushions on the inside of the headphones? I've tried headphones that have soft cushions on the outside but none on the inside which cause some ear fatigue 😅
Thanks Kev! They have material there but not padding. Fortunately my ears don’t stick out too much so the depth isn’t an issue for me. I can totally see how that can be a problem for people though.
Totally agree with all the things you said. I got a Bluedio T6 because I thought it looks cool and the price is just right for my budget but I sold it after a month because I can't wear it for 2 hours straight as it warms my ears a lot. Then I bought the Edifier W860NB and man this thing is so beautiful and comfortable, I wear for 4 hours in the office without hurting my ears and sound quality is great especially with the ANC on. Keep it up El Jefe! 🤟👊
@@ELJefeReviews I do. I'm pretty sure that it has the same sound signature as the W830BT. I was also able to compare my W860NB with my brother's Sennheiser HD 4.50 and I can say that the sound quality and ANC is on par with the HD 4.50. 😁
Amazing video as always, i am new here in your channel but im enjoying your reviews a lot, nice work! I dont have the money to those headphones right now, do you know if the edifier w800bt is good? i can afford those, if you don't mind aswer it, thanks!
The w800bt has decent sound quality but build quality is not so great. Very light and plasticky. To be expected of their lowest model. I would wait and buy the w820 or w830 instead.
Just got a pair for my birthday today! Absolutely unreal that these are going for only $70! Giving these name brand headphones a run for their money! This review really showed me how much I really wanted these! You gained a new subscriber!
@@ELJefeReviews Thanks again! I don't think I would find this kind of quality without you! Keep up with your amazing and honest reviews! always loved your videos! can you give me a rating from 1-10 base on the bass of this headphones? Bluedio TM - vs Edifier W830BT - thank you! got the Bluedio TM btw and planning to upgrade. :)
The w830bt has a cleaner sound and tighter bass reproduction. I prefer the overall sound of the TM. Bass is nice but it is not my preference. If you want bass, you should look at Sony XB950B1. Can find them on eBay and Amazon for $75 refurbished.
@@ELJefeReviews I see, so if I am not aiming for that bass, then the TM's is still good and the edifier is not that much of an upgrade? how about the size of the ear cuff? is the edifier larger and more comfortable?
Hiya I'm a new follower ! Thanks for the great informative reviews . I've purchased these headphones to replace the Sony 1000xm3 because these even on a low volume and with equalizer adjustments make my head ring after just 2 songs!! I'm hoping these will be nearly as good if not better ! Not really too worried about NC as long as there is some ! 👍☺
As good as these are, keep in mind that these are budget headphones not designed to compete with $350 Sony cans. I would suggest tempering your expectations a bit.
I bought the Edifier W830BT's back when your review came out, haven't regretted it for a second. I can vouch for they' r durability and comfort. I use headphones sometimes up to 12 hours a day, so it's no small feat to be comfortable for that long and let your ears breathe. But for my taste the sound can sometimes sound a little thin, I put on some equalizer settings and then i can say that these sound Great! But for bang for the buck you can never beat the Bluedio TM's and these w830bt's.
@@TALPOKEYASHA Solid 8.5 Everything is there. Bass is there, mids are there, highs can suffer in some songs, but it can mostly be fixed with an equalizer. The build is sturdy enough to be used even in wintertime, can fall down multiple times and only gets scratched. Only thing that it's bad at is low volumes, the Bluetooth static noise gets in your head and isn't pleasant. But counting in the price at which i got them(15 euros) I couldn't have asked for more.
@@mirsyad9828 I haven't really used these for gaming, but considering the price to quality ratio its really hard to say how they stand up to the HS70, i haven't had those myself.

Good morning El Jefe! A friend of mine just picked up a pair of Tribit XFree Tune. Have you had a chance to review them? If so, how did they compare to 830BT (sound quality)
Ok, I've got the Bluedio UFOs and I'm thinking of replacing them, but want something that has noise cancelling, but great battery life and not to expensive. I've heard great things not the Don't headphones but I'm NOT about to plunk down $300. Looking to be around $100-$150.
I got beats solo3 and it hurts my ears like The Great Khali squeezing people's head. Regret a lot. Putting it in Ebay now. Are these still good for say 2020?
Thanks for replying EL however my region doesn't seem to have this version available. Any other decent contenders? We only got several Taotronics, edifier available in Amazon.
Oops... It was the Anker Soundcore Space video I was talking about🐵. I completely agree with your opinion on the Anker's noise-cancelling and sound, but found the earcups too small. I hope you could do a review of the W860NB soon!
Hi jeff, Ive bought these off amazon for £63. Im not sure if they are real as there is another listing for £93. Do you have a test to see if they are real when they get here. Thanks
No. You should contact the vendor or Edifier to help you verify authenticity. Also, vendors on Amazon are allowed to charge whatever price they want. I bought mine for $69 USD. $93 would be too high for these.
Which one do you think is better edifier w830bt or marshall major 3?? These two are on my budget and I kinda like the marshall brand more because i listen to rock and metal music mostly
Hi everyone who use this headphone. The sound quality in wired mode is really different with bluetooth. In bluetooth, the sound is really good, however in wired mode the sound is bad. Also, the microphone dont work in wired mode. Am I correct? I expirienced that.
1. Yes. Powered on it uses DSP to improve sound quality. 2. No. Wired is not bad but it is not as good. Don't buy wireless headphones for wired use. 3. No. Mic does not work in wired mode.
No. Check out the Soundcore Life Q10 and Q30. Those offer multipoint for up to 2 devices. Life Q10 -> ua-cam.com/video/HWuZXUscpvQ/v-deo.html Life Q30 -> ua-cam.com/video/bqe6CTegxPw/v-deo.html
You talked about these headphones not being ANC but there is the edifir 860bt they are budget as well they have ANC tuch controll pad and they have the same sound quality (or so I heard) as the 830 with ANC
@@ELJefeReviews Thanks a lot man. Im gonna go for Q20 coz i need the ANC and don't wanna stick just to bass but get overall good sound quality being bass as a plus.
Wow! Appreciate your review.😊 That was quite informative. According to your uses can tell me the mic quality of this headphone? Does it have noisy mixtures of ambient sound? And what about the latency while gaming and video watching? Does the connection dropout anytime? It would be very kind if you provide me these information. As I'm planning to buy one. But can't decide because it's a model of 2018.
1. Yes. Call quality is not the best. These are better for music. 2. Minimal video latency. Hardly noticeable. Same as most headphones. Gaming latency is noticeable. 3. Mine did not. Newer options from 2020 are: Soundcore Life Q10 at $40 (Bass) Cleer Enduro 100 $100 (Overall Quality)
For anyone thinking of buying these headphones I bought these 1 year and 2 days ago, and in that time i had to charge them around 10 times (i was taking them to school + 2 hours going to and back from there so i used them quite a bit) after a month they broke in and i could wear them practically for a whole day without any ear fatigue, sound quality is excelent for the price, although no anc might be a deal breaker for some. Half a year later i noticed that one ear cup started getting loose where the ear cup folds, not long ago i discovered that something snapped inside of it, kinda annoying + i can't give them back for repair cause of the whole COVID-19 thing... I still have 363 days till my warranty runs out
@@ELJefeReviews rapid response as always 👍 About the ear cup, it kinda ruins the fitment cause it does not like to rotate much, sometimes the ear cup falls out and hangs on the cable and sometimes it locks half way out and i have to figure out how to "unlock it" (push it in while folding etc.) But others might not experience this issue if they treat those better than myself (taking them off using 1 hand most of the time didn't help)
You were so right about these headphones. A SINGLE CHARGE LASTED ME 6 MONTHS!!! No joke, bought them in December, used them at these 3 times a week, didn't recharge until June. Thanks for the recommendation!
Looking for headphones between $60-100. Want something good for all round use - music, gaming and gym. Not being my main priority, but I also prefer headphones that have a mic in the wired cable, which enables me to use mic while gaming (wired) as well as wireless. I’ve found the JBL e55bt to fit these requirements well. Which headphones would be a good fit for this?
Great video! Telling myself I don't need these, but I kind of want to get them from your video haha Keep up the great work. Love the b-roll and love how thorough you are in your reviews.
does your ears touch the driver? I'm using Bluedio TM and my ears not that big and yet it hurts my ears for a long period session. Does this problem occur to you when wearing W830BT?
Hi! Looking for good all around headphones. Mic quality is important tho. Lots of phone calls. Do you have a recommendation for budget headphones with the best mic?
hi, im from indonesia, thanks for your product information, is W80BT support with siri or google assistant? which is better Edifier W820Bt or this ? thanks
Was the best headphones under 100$ for me. Everything is amazing about these headphones except the fact that you can't hear from the left side of the headphones sometimes when it's wired also the earpads didn't last long. Still a great headphone with amazing battery life tho.

Dante Simmons from North Carolina.
Very welcome. I've since found out that most wireless headphones don't sound very good when using the cable. This is due to the DSP tuning they use when powered on. Best practice is to buy a wired headphone for wired use and a wireless headphone for wireless use.
Totally agree. The value on these is unbeatable right now. They are my number 1 recommendation for headphones anywhere near this price range.

@@ELJefeReviews wired one priority but if I can get both options in one that would be great. Do you have any recommendations?
Awesome analysis dude, I was in doubt about the choice that headphone to buy, to be honest I was between bluedio T5 / T6. Now I'm sure of what to get. Again, thanks for the review.
Very welcome!
do you review “high end” headphones? I would be interested in your opinion about the Sennheiser 550, Bose QC 35, Sony WH3’s etc..in comparison to ones like these Edifiers.
Not really. Cant afford $300-$400 on one set of headphones. Nothing against them. I would if I could afford it.
Happy New Years Jeff!
Happy New Years Saba!
I bought because of you. It will be delivered by Jan 1 2021.
Cool. This is a very old video.
Nice, I just want to say.. Keep up the good content
Thank you bro!
I've only seen several of your videos, but I enjoyed them every time, this one included.
I actually bought the Bluedio T6s based on your review, and now you got me looking at the W830BT. Are they much louder than the T6s? Not being loud enough is my only problem with the Bluedios.
These are not louder. The sound quality is far superior. These use aptX codec so the sound stage, clarity and detail is much better.
@@ELJefeReviews Thanks a lot, Jeff. I'll definitely consider these as my next audio gear purchase.
Keep up the good work!
Just bought these based on the recommendation from you and Travis - 1000% stoked with them! Had to get the *cough* gold *cough* colour as they were AU$110 vs $AU$180 for the black! Keep up the great content man!
Thank you!
Great review. Give review also to Edifier W860NB please.
Thank you.
Hey man just wanted to know what’s your best budget headphones right now? Been looking at the edifier 860nb.
Soundcore Life Q30
Hey Jefe, another great video. It just make me want to buy each and every good one lol... Keep up the good work =) . If I may, let me give you a suggestion (for a future video), that may help me, you and a lot of guys =) Make a ranking (divided by ANC and not ANC) of budget headphones in your opinion =) Of course, if this does not generate any kind of problem for you. Thanks again for your work. Have a great New Year.
Good suggestion Denis! Thank you!
Thank you for sharing your experience. I've heard great things about Cleer headphones. I'm happy to hear you found a set that works well for you.
EL JEFE!! 🔥🔥 GREAT VID!!
how's your w830's till today?
Wow! Thank you. But I have a question for you. Don't you think that model 860 is better? It looks more comfortable, has ANC. Yes, for some reasons the battery is weaker, but for $20-$30 more you are getting newer and probably better (not the battery) model?
What are your thoughts about compare of those two?
Thanks again
Mike
Thanks for your good review. Do you recommend the W830BT for long flights (12+Hrs)? Do you have a recommended one with ANC?
Thanks bro.
None yet.
Wow 80 hour out of the box. Impressive. BTW: end cards are missing.
Weird. Appreciate you catching that. Just fixed it. Good looking out bro!
Great review m8, between this and the W855BT which ones are the best? Greetings from México!
I have not tested the 855 yet so i can only recommend the 830. Saludos desde San Francisco!
@@ELJefeReviews Thanks for the quick answer, I think I would go for the 855's since they seem to be better, at least in specs, keep the good work bro, your channel is awesome for us audiohpiles in a budget
Yoooooo!!! I asked about about noise canceling headphones 🎧 a couple days ago and now you made a video?! Appreciate all the responses, Jeff!!
These are great for passive noise cancellation. The w860nb have ANC but they are double the price.
Happy new year bro 2018 was your year bro.
Thank you bro!
Hey man, would you still recommend these in 2020? Im on a tight budget. Love your vids btw!
A better option is the Soundcore Life Q10 if they are available in your area.

I got the w860nb by accident as it was the same price. Should I get those or return them for the w830bt. Thanks.
Same price? Keep the 860.
Thank you for sharing bro! The w830bt in this video don't have ANC. Do you have the w860nb?
@@ELJefeReviews Thanks man, for the fast reply, ill have a look on w820, its as good as w830? Thanks again
No. Otherwise the w830bt wouldn't be the best under $100.
Which one should I pick?
1.Bluedio UFO 2 -65$ or
2.Edifier w830bt -69$
Please respond
Edifier. Same thing I said in this video.

Will review these now just testing them giving time to burnin
always loved your videos! can you give me a rating from 1-10 base on the bass of this headphones?
Bluedio TM -
vs
Edifier W830BT -
thank you! got the Bluedio TM btw and planning to upgrade.
Which is better,Edifier 830BT or Edifier 828NB or Edifier 860NB?
830 = Best battery, good sound, No ANC
860 = Same sound as 830, ANC, Touch control
828 = Ok sound, ANC, ok battery, no case
I bought the Edifier W830BT's back when your review came out, haven't regretted it for a second. I can vouch for they' r durability and comfort. I use headphones sometimes up to 12 hours a day, so it's no small feat to be comfortable for that long and let your ears breathe. But for my taste the sound can sometimes sound a little thin, I put on some equalizer settings and then i can say that these sound Great! But for bang for the buck you can never beat the Bluedio TM's and these w830bt's.
Right on! I appreciate you sharing your experience with them!
How do you rate the Bluedio TM?
from 1 - 10.
I'm now looking for new gym headphones.
Have you tried to use it for gaming? I'm thinking to buy those or HS70.
@@mirsyad9828 I haven't really used these for gaming, but considering the price to quality ratio its really hard to say how they stand up to the HS70, i haven't had those myself.
Which would be better Edifier w830bt vs Soundcore Q10
I would choose the Soundcore Life Q10. Much better value for dollar.
Which one would you prefer the Edifier 860 or 830 ? sound quality ? i dt know what to buy
830. The 860 only add touch control and ANC at the expense of more than half of the battery life. Not worth double the price in opinion.

Good morning El Jefe!
A friend of mine just picked up a pair of Tribit XFree Tune. Have you had a chance to review them? If so, how did they compare to 830BT (sound quality)
I prefer the w830. But if you like the sound of the Tribit, buy them. Trust YOUR OWN ears.
I have a pair of 830BT
thoughts on the Edifier W855BT
Probably great but I haven’t tested them personally.
Ok, I've got the Bluedio UFOs and I'm thinking of replacing them, but want something that has noise cancelling, but great battery life and not to expensive. I've heard great things not the Don't headphones but I'm NOT about to plunk down $300. Looking to be around $100-$150.
How's the bass
@@keithevans0407 I heard that the w860nb are great
I got beats solo3 and it hurts my ears like The Great Khali squeezing people's head. Regret a lot. Putting it in Ebay now. Are these still good for say 2020?
I would look at the Soundcore Life Q10 instead.
Thanks for replying EL however my region doesn't seem to have this version available. Any other decent contenders? We only got several Taotronics, edifier available in Amazon.
Would you still recommend their noise-cancelling headphones? Do they share the same sound signature?
I have not tested them yet. I will soon. But based in my friends opinions who have them I feel confident that they are a great pair of headphones.
Oops... It was the Anker Soundcore Space video I was talking about🐵. I completely agree with your opinion on the Anker's noise-cancelling and sound, but found the earcups too small. I hope you could do a review of the W860NB soon!
What do think about the srhythum nc35? I'm thinking of buying them and wanted your opinion. Thanks for your videos you provide great information 👍

That’s nuts with a battery life like that! I kinda wanna check them out myself just based on sound itself. Great video Jeff!
Thanks bro! These are definitely legit.
Hi jeff,
Ive bought these off amazon for £63.
@@ELJefeReviews Cheers will do
Also is the passive noise cancellation comparable to ANC
No.

Haven't tested the Marshall headphones so I can only recommend the w830bt at this time.

Soundcore Life Q30
Hi everyone who use this headphone.
The sound quality in wired mode is really different with bluetooth.
In bluetooth, the sound is really good, however in wired mode the sound is bad.
Also, the microphone dont work in wired mode.
Am I correct? I expirienced that.
1. Yes. Powered on it uses DSP to improve sound quality.
2. No. Wired is not bad but it is not as good. Don't buy wireless headphones for wired use.
3. No. Mic does not work in wired mode.
@@ELJefeReviews Sorry, i don't get it for point 3. What you are telling me is Mic doesn't work in wired mode. Am I correct?

Newer options from 2020 are:
Soundcore Life Q10 at $40 (Bass)
Cleer Enduro 100 $100 (Overall Quality)
@@ELJefeReviews Thank you so much it means a lot.
@@ELJefeReviews Is there any issues of latency in gaming while using it by wired connection ?
Latency does not apply when wired because it's wired.
For anyone thinking of buying these headphones
I bought these 1 year and 2 days ago, and in that time i had to charge them around 10 times (i was taking them to school + 2 hours going to and back from there so i used them quite a bit) after a month they broke in and i could wear them practically for a whole day without any ear fatigue, sound quality is excelent for the price, although no anc might be a deal breaker for some.
Half a year later i noticed that one ear cup started getting loose where the ear cup folds, not long ago i discovered that something snapped inside of it, kinda annoying + i can't give them back for repair cause of the whole COVID-19 thing...
I still have 363 days till my warranty runs out
Battery life is nuts on these! Sorry to hear about the earcup issue.
@@ELJefeReviews rapid response as always 👍
About the ear cup, it kinda ruins the fitment cause it does not like to rotate much, sometimes the ear cup falls out and hangs on the cable and sometimes it locks half way out and i have to figure out how to "unlock it" (push it in while folding etc.)
But others might not experience this issue if they treat those better than myself (taking them off using 1 hand most of the time didn't help)
I haven't experienced this with mine. Although I stopped using mine about 5 months ago. Too many new headphones to test now.
@@ELJefeReviews yeah, understandable
Please tell me it supports mic?
It has a mic for phone calls. Not very good but it's there.
The padding on them are replaceable : ) Awesome, just to order new ones, when and if needed. Thanks for a great review.

Which headphones have better sound quality the edifier w830bt or the mpow h5??
W830BT.
You made me all hyped for those and then you said they suck with cable... That is a no for me. Thanks for warning though.
Very welcome. I've since found out that most wireless headphones don't sound very good when using the cable. This is due to the DSP tuning they use when powered on. Best practice is to buy a wired headphone for wired use and a wireless headphone for wireless use.
