As someone pointed out in the comments of another video:
"we're your old crew" The whole point of megamind's character in the first movie was that he was lonely and socially awkward with his only friend being minion, that's the whole reason he was a villain to begin with. The whole point of his arc was that being loved and treated like a person being instead of an outcast changed him and turned him good. The whole point of him meeting Roxanne was that it was his first positive interaction with another person besides Minion.
Him having an evil crew before the first movie basically retcons half of his entire character.
The lead up to Doom Syndicate’s release is gonna be like watching a snowball turn into an avalanche, I guarantee you.
What an absolute disrespect to all dreamworks fans :D

rewriting his lifelong loneliness so they can have some boss baby back in business ass plot about a sinister 6 ripoff is one of the worst offenders imo. his character is done so dirty and his development is wasted. megamind was always a good guy even if he took the role of a villain, but this reboot treats him like such a jackass. also obligatory child sidekick 😡

I have been waiting for a Sequel to Megamind ever since I was 5 or 6 back in 2010 and when I heard a sequel was being made, The inner Child in me was excited and then I watched the trailer for Megamind 2 and It was shit. Seriously, how come Puss in Boots gets the special treatment but Megamind gets shafted?!?!? Anyway, on the plus side, I love your reaction and I just subscribed. 🎊🥳🎉

dude i remember seeing this trailer and thinking it was just for the show bc the animation was THAT bad. was genuinely so disappointed to find out that the trailer was in fact for the tv show and that it was straight to streaming. at least me and my friend can watch it together and sob over how shit its gonna be. 🥲
