Excellent job Giles on how important the trail arm is in the golf swing. I definitely like your cross handed drill and the split hand drill which shows how this all works. This is something I've been working on for a while now. Well Done! Happy Holidays to You and Yours! Looking for a lot more new lessons to come in 2025! This lesson will also be archived for future viewing!
Excellent points with the right arm!! I will incorporate this in setup, more of the opening of arm/unfolding and the shake hands finish to create a more consistent/powerful swing. 👍
Great instruction Giles... as always... Question: I see some instructors shifting more weight to the left before/during the downswing... it is not so noticeable in your swing and doing it your way seems to be easier to accomplish. Am I correct? Again, your instruction is awesome... Merry Christmas from Vegas... Doc R
I need to try this. I’m struggling with club head speed as I can’t seem to stop casting and releasing early. Seem to be stuck at about 75mph with my 7 iron and it goes about 155yrds.
Great content, honest content. Frankly, it’s not easy to incorporate in one’s swing but worth trying and trying and finally making it. Just getting this right will bring anyone to single digit handicap even if short game is on “weekend golfer” level.
Great tip! I noticed that you have a small forward press at the start of your swing. Can you explain what it is and what you’re feels are. Whenever I’m doing this it’s not always consistent. But I’d like to keep doing it. Thanks!
Bryson talks a LOT about R and L elbow positions at address, His ball striking is amazing. OTOH, looks like he could use some more work on his putting. (See Showdown tape.)

This will help hugely with your swinging, especially if you can do all three parts
One of your very best lessons. Awesome!!!
Thank you so much!

I do shift early but my pattern is more of a rotational one
Really great instruction from you. I like the way in which you seem to consider us older men in terms of injuries to the body. Keep up the good work.
Glad I could help!
Right arm does seem to play a huge role in clubface control, wrist set & release
It really does!

I do it with my right knee and it’s just a swing trigger to kick start my swing
@ I know, that’s what I see but what might be the feelings in the feet, hips etc. I’m just looking for more consistency in my trigger. Thanks Mate!

He certainly does! I’ll take a look at the highlights
I've been looking for ages for a drill that encompasses both these elements and here they are...
Thank you Giles.
