MsgNotFound on 1.1.2 obtained for the first time!

- It's finally possible!
This was done on 1.1.2, but a variation of it makes it possible for 1.2.1, it's just twice as hard and takes twice as long...
I only partially deserve credit for this, I was just the person who came up with a more specific setup and executed it.

If anyone was wondering why I paused a couple times, I was in a vc with a couple other people when this happened.
Congratulations! Ever since I found out about the original glitch I was pretty upset when I couldn’t do it anymore. This has made me so excited that it is now possible! I just got to figure out how it was done!

1.1.2 mnf method
I highly recommend practicing the final zuggle in your main file before attempting this, practice until you have a 15% success rate, it's double frame perfect and you only have one shot at it
setup this fe chain in a shrine (I will fuse shrine):
root shield > parent shield > child weapon
zuggle root shield
glue parent and child together and recall lock them at a coordinate reachable in prologue
check if they are in prologue at a decent height
load into main file and go to akkala citadel
drop root shield
setup an sdc stick outside of a culling area (using a shield as a base!)
zuggle root shield and pickup sdc stick base
warp to the shrine or travel medallion
drop sdc base and zuggled root
Fe a hoverstone
pickup sdc base
move sdc base into the culling area
leave culling area and pickup a small battery
drop sdc base, link should cull for a few frames
drop battery and pickup base
move in a circle and try to barely enter the culling area for as short as you can
(sdc stick should uncull)
zuggle the sdc base without dropping it (I recommend shock)
zuggle root shield and hoverstone base
move sdc stick onto hoverstone and recall lock the hoverstone
load into the shrine
destroy the recall lock on the zloted equipment and load into the prologue
pickup the weapon and shield in this order
equip mnf and shield
face a wall
pause and drop shield
hold the opposite direction that link is facing, unpause and pause again when the turnaround finished
unpause and press dpadright when the shields are ever so slightly below links head (frame perfect)
drop swap weapons
let go of dpad and repress as soon as possible (frame perfect)
drop equipped weapon
if link is still culled, try to drop it again
load file
drop equipped weapon
pickup mnf
save
@@lightos_ Thank you so much! I have some questions about the parts in akkala citadel and the very last part in the prologue:
1. If I mess up the final zuggle, can I reload the save that gets me to the akkala citadel to start over?
2. If I mess up the 2 frame perfect inputs in the very last part in the prologue, can I reload into the prologue to start over from picking up the weapon and shield?

Is there any way to practice those frame perfect operations specifically? Like try them in the main file and reload if failed?
@@lightos_ @lightos_ Oh sorry I was confused. The final zuggle you mentioned above is doing the frame perfect trick to equip the drop the second weapon, right? That's very hard! So I basically have to equip and drop the 2nd weapon, after dropping the 1st, while the shield and the 1st weapon are still in midair?

ich würde empfehlen den Teil zu üben, er ist ziemlich schwer (2 frame perfekte Inputs).
Du kannst den Stick nach Links/Hinten (Kommt auf Kamera an) halten bevor du das Inventar schließt, Link wird automatisch in die richtige Richtung gehen. Für den ersten dpad Input, probiere dpadrechts zu drücken sobald die Schilde etwas unter Links Kinn sind.
Für den 2. Input, dpad kurz loslassen und nach dem kleinsten Verzögerung überhaupt nur möglich nochmal drücken.
Es ist echt schwer und meiner Meinung nach der härteste Teil des Setups, viel Glück!

I'm still on 1.1.2 and I've watched the video tutorials for 1.2.1 annnnnnd if there's a way to cut steps and make it a little smoother with the earlier version, I'd prefer to take advantage of that method. THanks again and I'll keep lookout for the next vid!
@@seanartpsyc the 1.2.1 method doesn't actually work on 1.1.2, so you have to use a harder variant :/

That's such a long setup process, but will it be worth it in the end? Starting from New Game, why wouldn't you want to rush to get MsgNotFound, if the process of setting up was simplified down and optimized enough that makes it consistent enough, though it may just add on extra time to speedruns, in 100% you'd probably want to get your hands on it anyway.
speedruns were not the main focus of the mnf research
