      @@abovemadness As someone who owns 2005 RL which was the last refresh version I can tell you with certainly that the RLX is a much better just in terms of how the tech was handled alone. And honestly when comparing the same year models the center console looks way better then the ugly TLX center console that had the gear shifter in the dead center.

    I recently purchased a 2014 sh-awd and I'm in love with it. I cannot believe that most people do not even know that this car exists. Whenever I tell people about it, they think I'm talking about the RDX. Regardless, I'm happy that this car is such a hidden gem and the bargain of a price that I picked it up for despite being a CPO. The only thing that I do not really like about the car is the brakes. The brakes themselves are quite capable, but they do not give me the feeling of confidence. They almost feel like a binary response. In my other cars, I felt that I had more control over the amount of brake pressure I could apply. I talked to the dealership about it and they said that this is normal for this car. I guess I just need to get used to it. Other than that, my only other complaint would be the lack of trunk volume due to the batteries taking up some of the space.

    • @503pdxCars
      @503pdxCars  3 роки тому +1

      Great points all around. I know, the trunk space was a little surprising until you realize why, like you said. Congrats on the find!

      I have a 2017 RLX Advance, but P-AWS. I recently saw a 2019 Volvo S90 Polestar that I'm considering. But I'm skeptical because I like how rare and quick the Acura is. I like not having several versions of my car when I'm in traffic. Would any of you Acura connoisseurs trade your RLX for a Volvo? If yes, then why?

    I enjoyed your review! I'm picking up my 2020 RLX in Orlando on Wednesday, the 30th. Went with new, only 7 miles on the dial! This will be my third Legend ('88, '94 and now '20) and I'm very excited after seeing you enjoy yours. I'm keeping my '15 TLX (third one, also, '03 and '07) for the sport aspect, but nothing will beat my '91 NSX that I'm driving today, and will keep. But saying that, I'm sad the Legend/RLX is leaving the USA and whether or not the value drops, if they really are staying out of the country, I expect them to rise after a few years. Even so, this new one will be a keeper, and a pleasure. I don't mind the older info-system (I'm older, too). I like the mixture of hand controls mixed with touch pad. I drove the new Volvo S90, as a rental, and the touchscreen was relentless to figure out which screen to pick for what function, and the huge size was not attractive to me. I'll stick with Acura/Honda!

      You’d have to add aftermarket CarPlay to your set up via Grom or NavTool

      Nope, the 14-17 RLX has the old 3G Acuralink module and 3G is being phased out. The 18-20 RLX has the update 4G module. It would probably be too expensive to upgrade the module.
