Going to quote by the devs; “The drop rate or number of each item increases with the amount of damage dealt on the boss monster.” So if you are able to solo it and deal 1.5b dmg before it despawn, then you have a chance to get the drop :)
If a boss has a 200% crit res and you have 300% crit rate, with a simple math; 300% - 200% = 100% crit rate That means you will 100% crit against boss with 200% crit res

Wished there was a bonus for not equiping shield like extra damage or something. This new shield is ridiculously hard to farm.
You do get double wexp for your 1h weapons when you don’t have a shield equiped
