    The best bullying story I have from my time in prison (incidentally today is my 9 year anniversary of my release) was seeing the biggest bully on the wing get destroyed by my pad mate. My pad mate was only 5 foot 6 inches so he looked like an easy target. However he could fight like an animal. The Bully didn't know what hit him that day lol. Funny thing is he never bullied anyone else again.

    Mate I can honestly say I was only picked on once when I was 14 on remand in Winchester remand centre.The fellows name was McKeown ,he was 18,a wing nut (soldier) .He threatened to do me if I didn’t empty his pispot .(At this age I was about 5 feet tall and weighed about 9 stone)What he didn’t realise was there must have been 40 other lads there from Aldershot (my home town) and when I told one of them it soon got sorted,the feller got battered and shipped out quite quickly.I know what you mean about bullying in Portland,I see it first hand and one of the fellers bullied was a lad called John Howlett (a rent boy)who every week was handing over his canteen,he ended up having a shite time and later on in life was one of the victims of Dennis Nielsen the mass killer.

    • @WilliamBonneyPodcast
      @WilliamBonneyPodcast  Рік тому +3

      The best type are very much like big Sam, the screw from strangeways. You know where you stand and you don't push boundaries with them. They are not there to run around after you, but occasionally a decent member of staff will get things done for you. The flip side to that coin is some one who feels they are there to punish you further, sometimes they make your life more difficult or just are cunts

    • @WilliamBonneyPodcast
      @WilliamBonneyPodcast  2 роки тому

      It's dependent on how confident you are at fighting, a bully generally picks people they think can't or won't fight back.
      If you fight somewhere quiet like you cell or the showers, you can fight for a while. Fights tend to be noisy and attract attention though so the staff catch on. Some guys will intentionally in front of the staff knowing it will be broken up in seconds, it gives them the feeling of being dangerous while actually doing nothing

They try and pick on some one who might be only 5ft7 skinny and looks quiet. But you never pick on some one just becouse there not 6ft, 15 stone and all muscle. As it turns out a guy whos 5ft7 and skinny and is quiet can be a kick boxer and the young bully now gets bullied himself and has to go on protection. Thats how easy the tables can turn. the canteen was in the education block, the exercise yard was just outside education. so once you got your shit, they kicked you out on to the exercise yard while they processed others

    I was in prison in thr mid 90s in walton , i experienced a bit , bullying on the out like school u can avoid as freedom to make choices but in jail ur stuck in there with them , overall i get through ok but bullying isnt a nice experience, i kept mysel to myself , had 2 great pad mates , i tried to just not get involved in anyones buisness and never borrowed fuck all off anyone , these people who say prison is like a holiday camp because they have never been, i always say its nothing like a holiday camp its full of nasty people but most are sound lads just the odd few who like tobprey on the vunerable

    Exactly the same happens in (posh) Boarding School especially when The Housemaster condones it but hidden and ridiculed when reported to Parents(who didn't want to know anyways), happened in the 70's and my Parents still say I just wanted to be "molecoddled". As a Sixth Form Prefect I stumbled upon sexual abuse Dorm 2 (Boarding School witheld) where the other Prefect had just finished "his business" with a 7 year old boarder's backside and it went unreported yet I was called a " Squeal".
