Also, I should clarify that there are other changes going on in the ocean right now as well, warming & acidification are just two of these ;)
The main thing that affects coral is when sea urchin population takes off of course it has always been a climate element if you look at the Australian coral reef some of which have ended up on land a lot of it's down to the planets tectonics as well not only oceans fall and rise so the land levels ua-cam.com/video/tK4LNIvlcCY/v-deo.html

'symbiotic algae' sounds similar to soil life that supplies land plants with nitrogen ....wait, is coral a plant or an animal?(nevermind, I can just Google that to make sure)
Corals are animals :) But I absolutely agree with the similarities to soil microbes & fungi supporting land plants!
Imma have to watch the full vid. I wonder if algae with higher temp tolerance could be engineered. Or some way to make them more dependent.

That's just the effects of overpopulation less resources but many consumers and about corals they're dying corals are the base of reefs 🪸 if they extinct no reefs can survive

You are too cute... I was so distracted I had to listen to this 3 times. Are you saying the algae is red? There is red choral like gem stone doesn't seem to bleach after it's dried out.
