The largest bomb ever dropped on the UK during WW2 was dropped here by the RAF, the 'Grand Slam' 10 ton bomb designed by Barnes Wallis. I’ve been staying at Holmsley for decades, landing strips etc clearly visible. Some out buildings gone in recent years but the bare bones remain
