    Is the metal frame touching the glass at all or do you hear it moving around while driving/going over bumps? The tabs that sit in between the glass and panel, is that metal? My only concern is the sunroof glass scratching if you decide to remove it years later.

    Nice looking product and good job of explaining the install. My only question is why the made the outward facing fabric color Dark? I would have thought a light color would reflect the sun's rays better.

      Agree, they should have picked lighter color but the material itself does help prevent the heat.

    I ordered this product…they have quality control issues…mine came with black stains on the headliner cover…no instructions…looks like they sent me the returned product.
    Excellent job explaining but the installation in the rear side is more challenging if the front is installed.

    Do you prefer this over the Otrifowds? Pros and Con's? Installation seems more tedious.

    • @dadstoyscars
      @dadstoyscars  Рік тому +3

      I never had a chance to actually test or install Otrifowd version 2 for Model Y but if compare to first version then this one is easier to install but Otrifowd seems more sturdy.
      This looks more OEM and blend in with Model Y headliner.

      This one made a little more noice than the one from Otrifowd. Otrifowd fullshade seem to be more stable.

    It looks like the liner color doesn't match Tesla's. In my opinion, this part minimizes the wow effect of the panoramic roof - one of the remarkable features of Model Y and does it pretty sloppily, given the wobbly sunshade and the permanent sides not matching the Tesla liner.
    My 2023 model's roof does get warm, but not too hot to slap these covers on it. If it's an absolute must in your conditions, I'd rather use a quick fold-and-remove solution instead.
