i will be out tomorrow clearing roughly 2/3 acre with a small tractor, chainsaw, weed wacker with a blade, and wood chipper. Hoping to plant buckwheat or fall rye and soon as possible. Cheers Jeff
First time no till last year. Complete novice at growing anything. Had a great plot. Seen more deer than ever and harvested my largest buck on opening day of rifle season here in south East Kentucky. Thanks Jeff.
The greatest sentence in this whole video starts right at the 7 min mark. Okay Maybe it's a couple sentences, but it's spot on regarding clients being Willing to do what's necessary for true success. Thanks!!
Or late oct/early Nov. cold mornings hanging downwind of bedding..give the 🦌 the wind & 👀 out!! like the variety of food & rotating crops in your vid 👍
I think a top down still photo of your farm would be beneficial to see how it lays out. Where your food plots are, waterholes, mock scrapes, trails, etc. Just a thought. Love the videos.
It doesn't matter....depends on what your sprayer rate is. Anywhere from 11 gallons to 15 gallons per acre for the sprayers I use. I add 2 quarts to whatever sprayer I use ..the gallons done matter.
Ok Thanks. Lowe's roundup is 18% and Tractor Supply sells both the 43 and 51, but more precautions on 51. I did buy the 43. 😉 sorry, yeah it's 41 and 53.8 at TSC
I roughly follow Jeff’s basic plant buckwheat, then later on plant fall plots in the crushed buckwheat before a rain. It’s a pretty easy process and works. Corn and soybeans are a lot trickier.
Ok... you say 2qts glyphosate per acre. Is it the same no matter what the concentration from the store whether 18%, 43% or 51% or whatever it is? What is store bought concentration that you use before mixing with water?
Hi Emery! 41% Gly is the most common, widely sold mix. I've been buying it for 26 years now and not only is that all that I have used, but I have a hard time remembering actually seeing any other mix % available. Soooo, 41% 😊
Hey Jeff was wondering if you could give some types for a young hunter from delaware. A year and a half ago on our property we cleared a microplot(1/20 of an acre) but we just have left it since. I actually hunted over it last fall and killed a doe in it and we’ve had some day and nighttime bucks come in every now and then during the season. Been watching your videos for quite some time and starting replicating some of the cheaper ideas (mock scrapes/waterholes) but I wanted to see if this summer we could get a food plot going. There’s a TSC close to our farm that id like to see if we could purchase some seed mix from. Any ideas?
Hi Ryan! Anywhere from 150 to 400 yards. The sweet spot for this location is probably 200-250 yards. Solid doe Bedding within 50-150. Of course those locations can vary greatly depending on the location of the plot, region, other food sources, etc.
It would be if I mentioned them by name. To say that every client is going to do the work is a lie. I want hard workin clients. Those that do the majority of the work, find success. That's not trash talking, that's just reality. Trash talking is mentioning folks by name. Even referring to a city and state or timing...this is just experience with 1600 clients in general and a challenge to future clients, to work hard in the plan if you want to find success 😉 I'm sorry if your feelings were hurt...
It's going to take more than words to hurt my feelings. You just aren't gaining business when you talk about lazy clients, especially when the entire time you spend with clients is in restaurants.

I just bought your book WHITETAIL SUCCESS BY DESIGN. I’m excited to dive into it. Thanks for sharing your knowledge!
Hi Watson, that's great...I appreciate it! That was published in 2012 😊 Going back a ways! Thank you...
What do you recommend to plant as a good cover crop in the southeast?
Did he call the turkey in?
I check every morning to start my day with the awesome free information that u provide ! thanks again Jeff
You are welcome Donald, I really appreciate you continuing to watch...that's a lot of videos 😁
Really cool spot Jeff!!! Man you got some great movement happening!!!
Great content!
Thanks a lot buddy 😊👍

How many gallons of water per acre per qt of glyphosate?

If you don't do the work you won't see the results, it's that simple.
Amen Brian! I always challenge my clients to do the work...as much as possible as soon as possible! Most do...some you can just tell, won't.
I can't get anything grow. Keep waisting money. Those plots look so lush. I am jealous. 😂 Birds keep eating all the seeds.

How do you sign up for the aerial design software you mentioned in the video?
Hi Bailey! The link is in the description, but it's at www.whitetailstrategy.com thanks for checking it out!

Thanks a lot, we always appreciate you watching!
The only thing I won't do is spray a chemical near food for my food. Rather have the weeds than poison food, personally.
May as well not plant a food plot then...
I suppose you don't live near ag, and buy all organic food? Crazy expensive...
@@whitetailhabitatsolutions9751 So, too much effort, then? Might as well not even upload videos, too many differing opinions....

Red clover, chicory, then top it with Rye in September.
How far is this plot from buck bedding?

Great info, as always. Thanks for the dedication, Jeff.
Thank YOU Justin, we really appreciate you!
Easy sounds good!!! U sure put the “buck” in buckwheat. Thanks Jeff
Thanks Mark ..yes, that buckwheat is such a useful tool!
Trash talking clients is a shitty way to go about business.

Arrogance and ignorance is nearly impossible to fix. Keep up great work Jeff
