Thank you so much for this lesson. I am (as an adult I am learning to play the violin. I know at my age I won’t be playing with an orchestra but this is something I always wanted to do ). Thankful for your lessons.
Funny yesterday I just told a co worker that I know when i play in tune, depending on the song, i feel it vibrate into my soul. I had a song bring me to tears from it
@@Violinspiration yes because it gives you a clue as to how to know even when there's all that background noise plus you reiterated that you could still possibly hear it on a cheap violin. I appreciated that. You are quite thoughtful the way you make your statements
Good madam. If we know the 1, 3, and 5 positions, is that enough to play the violin, or do we need to know 2,4,6 positions to be known. Since I felt easy in understanding the 5th position which is similar to 1st position
Thank you so much for the video!! It was very helpful, but I have one question. About how many finger spaces apart is the 3rd and 4th finger while playing in third position? Again, thank you so much!
Chromatic scales are the difficult ones I find doing. I'm gradually getting better at it. One of the pieces I played for my grade 3 exam was habenera and that had quite a bit of chromatic notes and I passed the exam. Soon another certificate to frame.

IT depends on which key you are playing in and the note.

I play by ear only--any speacial exercises to keep bad habits at a minimum. Thankyou
Can you be more specific as to the bad habits you are referring? That would help me to know what exercises to consider.
