P.S for complete transparency I played for about 8-10 hours before making this video and beat the full chapter 1 story.
When is coming out this game?
As someone who played previous beta a bit I personally think the TV sections are not so bad but it's mainly due to it being built like some puzzles which I enjoy. Combt is quite nice and smooth which is also a plus. Not to mention they have Von Lycon who'll be my main 100% when game comes out and I get to play it.

Honestly just seems like a bad wuthering waves with random TV crap. I don't think I will even try it. Just gunna play wuwu and azur primilia along with hsr and a bit of genshin

Not being able to run around with the characters you pull is going to be a big killer for this game. Since you can only use them during combat. The tiny hub space is all you get to run around in and the rest is mini game TV land. I thought this game oozed style and looked good. I’ll check it out but I have a feeling it’s not going to be as interesting as I had hoped.
Except that after chapter 1, the TVs almost disappear and only battles remain. A lot of battles...
I love it when people draw conclusions about something without even seeing the whole picture.
I mean, I don't run anywhere in Star Rail most of the time. Game still sells. Because of brand name, Genshin style, stable patches.

Didn't talk about the new bangboo banner in the gacha system, the new endgame mode that they added thats similar to MOC, or the new co-op mode that they added. He should have at least waited a day or two before making this review because he missed ALOT of new stuff.
This is the reason I droppped Honkai Impact 3rd mid story. Like it's cool to use the lore-accurate characters.... But exclusively just them? Why did I pull for other characters then? 😑😅 Thank goodness Genshin and Star Rail give lore-accurate charas as trials you can switch with
@@pottop880you pull them for endgame content and crystals farming. You can't farm enough crystals without new characters.
Can someone explain what the tv system is and why you have to do it?
I can't say I have high hopes about ZZZ, but I definitely want to play it. Honestly I don't think the game will fail, but it won't get so much hype as HSR or Genshin. But actually I really like that they doing game which is not connected to honkaiverse. I mean it's a cool concept but I personally tired of it. So I think ZZZ obviously will get their audience but maybe not so big as previous projects, maybe like Tears of Themis idk

Do you remember those people who talked about HSR as a sure-fire failure?They all secretly deleted the video.
The main markets for Gacha games are Asia (China, Japan, South Korea), and if you're not analyzing from that perspective, you're likely to be wrong.
ZZZ may not be as successful as GI and HSR, but it won't fail either.(Because the art quality of this game is very competitive on the mobile side)
For other games：
WW: There are problems with the story, the language localization, the grinding system, and personally I don't think it will be a big success, but it won't fail either.(It was clear that the game still needed to be improved, but they were short of time and money, and the game is released under pressure from shareholders)
Azure: Just a PV, and according to the announcement of the game company, the game is not even stable and is at least a year and a half away from release.
In addition, talking about WW cannot avoid mentioning Where Winds Meet from netease.Although the game is not animated style, but also open world game, released in July 2024, I think it will have a great impact on WW.
Based off the footage and your points you seem still pretty early into the beta but I would like to say that the TVs are SIGNIFICANTLY reduced after chapter 1. You hardly see them at all anymore after Chapter 1 and are essentially treated as less than 1/3 of the game. It seems like the system is too far in development to completely remove it but they did listen. They should still reduce it more in chapter 1 but from what I've seen and heard you can count on your hand how many times it comes up in a chapter when Chapter 2 starts which is good!
Yes. The further away from the start of the game, the more fights there are. New game modes (except for the local simuni) - do not use TV's. And what is in HollowZero (local simuni) is used, but they do it well.

I mean I can see why its not good overfilling this mechanic, but I like puzzles here and there a lot.. so I wouldn't have apprechiated, if they quit that after Chapter 1 completly

I hope they add a feature to modify the main character we choose. Something like an outfit or hair shop would do wonders. Besides that. I'm still looking forward to this one when it comes to the PS5.

Feels like the amount of content star rail gives without being designed around the player simply watching their characters do things in auto, instantly switching off rail for this even though I’ve been playing for a year.
I think you need to go a little further. They have reduced tv's much more.
In some modes, they cut them out completely. They are mostly found in ch1.
You need to go through CBT further and make another video, i think.
Hopefully we get a console beta and full release

Rewind back to the HSR Beta and player reception there was middling to negative both in the general perception and its gameplay
Fast Foward and the reception seems to be more in the positive. With the game making Genshin numbers of revenue
Overall were in a weird period where every gacha company is trying to copy the Hoyoverse success and in turn new projects will always feel a bit derivative even if there premise is widly different
In that period people will flock to a game that had a sense of newness even if certain aspects dont click
TlDR Its going to be successful extremely so while most Gacha companies chase HSR and Genshin and saturate the market with less polished games(but good games)
Hoyoverse will expand there horizon so even if your not a fan. You'll be looking for that product that does something differently.
Remember Hoyoverse is company you can hate or love but they have a level of Polish that cant be beat which in the Gacha space is unfounded

But the level of polish is only present in the optimization and boss fights other than that the controls doesn't feel natural
They use too much frame skips on battle animation which results in some clunky stuff
The 3rd ZZZ beta test actually confirms how high quality the combat is
Why? Well i've been a hi3 captain for quite some time and the 0 cd switching is a gateway to some VERY fast paced combo in the making

for me i will try zzz for like 1 patch after its officially out and if its dont attract me too much after that 1 patch im just gonna stop.
I just want to point out that there's a lot of doomposting about HSR pre release, people hate the game because it's not open world and turn base game are bad. HSR will fail but look where we are now. ZZZ will have new player that like combat focus game.

I'm not in the beta, but I have heard that there are multiple game modes that dont involve the tvs. One is just a fight simulator. And then they added coop as well, but I haven't seen anyone cover it since supposedly there arent many people trying to play it? But I also heard regarding traversing the tvs that you can just simply click to the tv you want to go and you'll autoroute there. I don't think I dislike the idea of TVs only cause it's either that or running around in empty instances. Maybe I just gotta play it to see why everyone says they hate the tvs pfft. Good vid though. It sounds like it may be better if you pass on covering the game since TVs are probably here to stay and the story isnt engaging for you, but that's just my thoughts for someone who'd want to see someone passionate to play the game. Or enjoy that section of it.
For sure, it's hard to ask for a complete revamp of an integral part of the game, so I don't expect much change there. However I think its great that there trying to optimize the system as much as possible!

I love the fact you didn't compare it to games like Wuthering waves or Propelia (the new rp open world with girls only), but with Games from the same company instead.
And, I agree with you, the game will not flop. Even though I'm more hyped for WW, I will download it for sure. I love this type of combat, my fisrt was with PGR.

the thing you talk about 2 character talking 90% of the gacha game use similar style even recent jrpg still use it
it pretty much have the same depth since genshin and hsr doesn't have extra motion animation to convey certain things(only relying on character own idle animation)
they certainly could put more work on the firefly 'death' scene(mc simply just stand up)
there's other content they provided which is more combat focus(and how much they have changed)
rally commission, hollow zero and shiyu defense there's also coop
you should be unlocking every mode before make this kind of videos
People like him aren't interested in that kind of thing. It is better to record a "review" of the early part of the game.
Seriously, nowadays it is very difficult to find real reviewers who understand the thing they have played. And not just play for several hours and do a review based on, literally, the material from the tutorial.

Game looks flashy but the combat, story and gameplay loop isn't for me, i much prefer what genshin and star rail offer over it, plus i really don't want to pick up another gacha game lol, it takes so much time to keep up with gacha games.

@Elio-nu3fzI’m hyped for it and I like Genshin. It’s always good for competitive to arrive, and if u aren’t excited for wuwa, then you’re missing out. Definitely a game worth trying: has a cool mount, banner selector, and free 5* weapon selector to go along with it.
Also if you’re interested in combat games or gachas you have definitely heard about it. Even the souls like game community speaks about Wuwa 😮😅

I enjoy hearing the feedback, but man... You don't like playing the TVs for more than 10 minutes, you wont be engaging with the challenging combat because you're a casual, and you dont like the story. Is there anything in this game for you? I don't think they're gonna do a 180 to try to appease people who dont find anything to enjoy to begin with.

Honestly had high hopes for this game with the combat but the TV system is such a big switch off for me from what i've seen so i won't bother trying it out unless they remove it or make it like 100x shorter 😭
They made it 100 times shorter, but to do that, you need to complete ch1. You can call it in-game tutorial.
In fact, this is done quickly, since no energy is spent on the plot and hdd's thing anymore.

Aside from some of the character designs like original Nicole, this feels like such a low effort game, and also not removing but adding new problems on top of having all the same bad things as the other hoyo games like genshin

Honestly I've felt no interest. For a hoyo game, I feel the designs fall flat and/or aren't really to my taste. Not to mention I'm really invested in hsr rn. I dont have time/energy for another grindy endgame.

This is not some "90% plot change" that hasn't even changed much. To completely remove tv's, you need to redo the game from scratch. Starting from the concept, ending with the plot.
From my long list of failures: the top 5:
- Characters look horrible.
- Animations appear autogenerated.
- Story like Genshin: a mix that ends up blaming a stomach ache for eating too much cake.
- Pay to win in everything, absolutely everything, you don't like something, don't worry, the solution is in your credit card.
- Like waves, final words on the grave of this game: challenges where you die with a single hit or by taking a wrong step. (solution: on your credit card, buy until you have a better character)
1) that's a subjective opinion, but even then, no, characters look really and stylized, by a objective standpoint. You are just tasteless.
2) "animations look auto generated" that doesn't mean anything at all
3) WUT? the story is good, is not top tier writing but does the work. Is a slow burn story, but unlike HSR and HI3 is not 90% yapping until something actually happens.
4) literally no, is actually very F2P friendly. there's even a special currency for bangboos that you can only get by playing the game and can't be bought.
5) literally no... Endgame is more like HSR and Genshin: you can "clear" it , but if you want the best times/scores you'll need more strength than to just "clear" it.
Hoyo games aren't known for being very hard so if you keep dying in endgame that just skill issue
