I really like the silver one, which is the one I use for tattooing. Except mine is in black. These are super nice because of the magnet on the bottom so you don't end up knocking it off your station when you're moving around.
I didn't even know the atom x existed! I love the atom, I did notice that it's a bit tricky to turn when bagged like you said. I'm definitely gonna check out the atom x though. Great informative video as usual Anrijs.

I was thinking about getting the atom when it first came out but you brought the problem in the video, I pack my critical in freezer bags right now, so it would make the knob difficult to manipulate.
Im really stoked about the atom X tho. Might consider it, i hope the buttons will be more reliable then on older generations. My on/off button stoped working after a year, so I I had to use one off those Jack switches...:(

Anrijs Straume Tattoo unfortunately I didn't find the receive, and bought it at a convention from a supplier I didn't have an account at when mine broke up (first tattoo of a convention, nice start 😂) I'll give the atom X a try at my next tattoo supply order, thanks!!!:)

the atom is the most strongest power supply iv ever tried.. i been using it for bout 6 months now and only thing I don't like about it is that it only has one port for rca/clip cord. but I found a splitter at Tatt soul for round 15$ bucs, has a switch in the middle of the line so it let's you control which machine you want to run.

hey. yeah , that pack is awesome . Mostly I use spektra edge X for cartridge machine , and Wayne Taylor liner.

thanks for the review! how long do you think the AtomX buttons would last? Because the Atom seems to last longer since its analog feature allows it, thing i preffer rather than pressing buttons that may wear out but i'm still curious because atom X looks awesome. Thanks in advance!
I believe it will last long time. my previous Critical supply lasted me for more then 3 years , push button in the middle too , and is still exactly same as first day. works perfect.
AtomX has 2 years warranty , so even if It breaks down after 2 years, I believe it's still awesome deal .

Hey Anrijs , much respect for your channel, I live in a country that has a very minimal stock available for tattoo artists. I've been using the Halo crossover machines for the last 2 years. My question is .... my supplier has both Critical Atom X & CRITICAL POWER SUPPLY CX2-G2 . I work mostly in Black & Grey for 6-10 hours. Which power supply would you recommend?. I am currently using a hurricane unit.
I think Critical atom or cx1 would be much better then Hurricane. I'm not sure about cx2 as I haven't used it, but I'm sure it's good supply too. everyone else in my studio using those for good 4+ years with no problems.
From what I know hurricane is knockoff product , they will never be good quality. I have heard some artist do use hurricane pack , but I would recommend one of the critical. I think with any critical pack, the power to your machine will be so much more smoother.

Holding up well. I dropped my atom X few times when traveling and there's few bit's on the casing bit broken, so I don't use it. but it still works. The other one (twisting) I don't use much as it's harder to wrap it/bag it and still be able to twist multiple times back and forward. I'm back at their early tattoo supply. CX1. I think I had it for about 8-9 years and still works great too.

Hey, I haven't used Musotoku, so I cannot comment on performance. I wold go for AtomXR as think it's much easier / better to cover it (in a bag or clingfilm) that's a big plus.

I prefer AtomX over previous models. and yes, that's Louie !

iI've got Critical Atom since some months ago, and a ain't use pedal, just the Supply. I Recommend this supply is comfortable and has no problems. I use it with Cheyenne thunder Pen and I have never used jump start mode. I think the Atom X big one option is its memory, but we can live without this. :P

skeistan yes, agree ! Easy can go without memory , but it is a good option especially if you switch allot between machines.
skeistan i think that jump start is really useful for Cheyenne Thunder. But I'm not sure . I don't have one to try.
Yes, i know,. My seller adviced me to use this mode when I bought my machine, but it runs perfect without jump start. I understand that use its memory reduce significantly the work, but it is not indispensable.
BTW I hope to buy Atom X soon.

does the startup mode damage other rotaries? i have a tattoome machine with a cheyenne one and thinking about this power unit but switching between the startup mode every time i swap the mahcine feels very inconvienient
I use this everyday , without jump start mode, works for everything. I think only machine will be - Thunder what need this option, but If you use Cheyenne startup cable with it , then possibly you don't even need any jumpstart.
I'm not sure if it damages rotaries. I guess need to check directly with rotary machine company is it ok to use it with jump start

I prefer atomX , easier to cover and still change settings. but I worked with atom for about a year, easy too. as I don't pay much attention to voltage.
