  • The egg production in India has been steadily increasing due to factors such as population growth, urbanization, and the growing awareness of the nutritional benefits of eggs. Eggs are known for being an affordable, unadulterated, and easily available source of high-quality protein, vitamins, minerals, and healthy fats. However, eggs are also highly perishable, and their nutritional benefits start to decline after a few weeks of normal storage. To meet the demand for extended shelf life of eggs, we have developed a herbal solution for table eggs. This solution, when applied or sprayed on
    the outer surface of eggs before storage, acts as a barrier, preventing the entry of external microbes into the egg. It also helps seal the pores of the egg, reducing the outflow of CO2. The application of this solution is simple and does not require any specific techniques or skills, benefiting farmers, vendors, and middlemen.
    By using this herbal solution, we aim to increase the durability of eggs and
    reduce the chances of spoilage or deterioration. This will not only help in minimizing wastage but also ensure that consumers can enjoy eggs with preserved nutritional benefits for a longer period. The developed solution significantly benefit the poultry industry by extending the storage ability of table eggs, thereby reducing spoilage and deterioration caused by microbial activity and other factors. By implementing this product, losses incurred during storage can be minimized, resulting in positive economic outcomes for farmers, wholesalers, retailers, and others involved in the egg business. Additionally, consumers enjoy beer-quality eggs for a longer period. This
    product has the potential to enhance the overall efficiency and sustainability of the egg industry while meeting the demands of consumers for longer-lasting, high-quality eggs.
