Postpartum info- look into the Bengkung belly binding method. It will help your abdominals heal faster and hopefully bring your hips back to prepregnancy shape. I’m a mother of four boys and didn’t know about this when I had my babies. I wish I had because my ribs flare out and my hips are much wider. During and after pregnancy your body puts out hormones that soften your bones “ for expansion”. So they are still pliable after and can be eased back into shape. Best of luck with your next big life change. You and Dan will be great. Be kind and caring with each other, because any big change is hard especially with no sleep.
I actually have the opposite: I have made 5 pairs of pants now (tho 4 were drawstring or elastic waist shorts) but not one shirt/top. Idk but that is Way scarier for me!! Maybe because I don't really know how to edit patterns to a masculine bodytype and the regular men shirts are So Boring (and also because sewing knitted fabric Scares Me)

I'm starting my first pair of pants tomorrow, so I hope to take some of your pants-energy with me!
Hey! I’m a complete beginner, i just learned sewing roughly 2 weeks ago and i just made a pair of pleated high waisted trousers and let me tell you it is not as scary and not as hard! I was also confused and doubted myself along the way (wether or not i was doing it right bc it went sooo smoothly) but it ended up being really pretty ! Ok yeah, I’ll definitely see myself out now.
Hi! I posted this above too but I just really want people to know this info. Another pregnant person here just trying to spread the good word - you don’t have to accept this widely accepted body change during or after pregnancy. For anyone reading this, see if there is a pelvic floor physical in your area if you experience this problem. Your pelvic floor might be under or over engaged, both of which can cause stress incontinence. A pelvic floor therapist can help you with this problem that so many women think is just something to deal with during/after birth. 🥰
Wow, Wendy! You’ve done so much amazing work and I love that some of your pre-preg projects (lol say that three times fast) are working for you as well. This is definitely inspiring! I love how you have advanced as a sewist!

This makes me want to sew but I hardly have any fabric to use. I am so excited for you and Dan and hope there won't be any problems with delivery when that time comes!
What I do to get lots of fabric for cheap is to look at the bed sheets and curtains in thrift stores. Often you can find really nice prints in large quantities that way. Hope you can pick up sewing again!
