Thank you for the explanation on the SA AA and DA. I kept getting a fault for rear #1 axle right so I figured it was the one behind the cab.... nope. I have a fault on the truck saying DA..... fml. I almost rewired the whole AA axle thinking it was that lol
The dash can say wheel speed sensor. But it may be a few different issues with the sensor. Could not be in correct position. Could have oil effecting the reading such as a blown wheel seal. Could be the module not reading that sensor. Could be a fray in the wire as you said. Best thing it to unplug the one in question and ohm it out to see if the part actually is a fault.
I had an intermittent ABS light on my Kenworth. Replaced 2 wheel speed sensors THEN found 2 wires that were cut. 2 butt connectors later the ABS light went out and hasn't returned.
Do you know if the wheel speed sensor has anything woth speedometer and cruise control? My speedometer is acting crazy while im turning slightly to the right side
On my Kenworth, the speedometer used a sensor on the back of the transmission. I had problems in heavy rain or while driving in lots of snow where the speedometer would completely quit working. Replacing the sensor cured that problem. I'm not sure if your truck would be the same.
@steventenhave8333 I replaced the speed sensor on the transmission. I have 13 speed and worked for a day and stopped. It started when I hit small bump then speedometer started going crazy. I checked the wiring harness and everything looks fine. I also checked for ground wire on batteries to see if anything was lose and nothing
No scanner needed on my Kenworth. Other makes/models may be different. I just scrolled through the options that pop up on that screen with the dial located on the dash. Push the dial in to choose an option and go from there.
