An interesting factoid. I was blessed to be able to sit down with them at their New York show 2024 and Henrick (Bass) told me that Aron(drums) writes many of Henriks Bass parts. Wild huh! Ambassador Jenks
Yes, Birger said it! Dirty Loops also have done a collab with Jack Gardiner recently in a live DL show. I’ve heard Jack first when he did that crazy stint with Henrik and others a while ago 🔥 and more recently a series of truly SICK covers of DL songs by him! But definitely would love to hear a ‘cover’ of sorts with you on guitar, Brian, and also what you think of Jack’s style of guitar playing when working with DLoops material… Another guitar player Jonah has collaborated with is Steve Vai. He’s featured with a surprisingly mellow, less ‘shreddy’ than normal guitar solo on Jonah’s ‘Diamond Ring’. I just love this tune here so much. All three of them outdo themselves, and Henrik’s solo at the end for me is true blues and jazz heaven ⭐️ The toilet paper here, the many mics on Henrik’s little amp in World on Fire (one of them even pointing to his preamp 🤣) these guys are as much fun as they are brilliant. Read the credits here in this one, they’re hilarious :) And as to the guitar on the credits: I’ve wondered if it is Ringström, their friend and collaborator on this album and on a few others… Thanks again, Brian, for lending your ear to another Dirty Loops ‘cover’ 👍🙏
I can barely play my own music, I would never tarnish a DL song. I think Diamond Ring might have been one of my first DL reactions. Thanks for your input, always excellent.
@ ah right, had forgotten about your Diamond Ring reaction, Brian. And tarnishing a Dirty Loops song? 😂 Well you can always try at home ;) Also thanks for your kind reply 👍
I've been a rock guitar player for over 30 years, so I definitely love listening to great guitarists from every era. However, Dirty Loops + guitar = not Dirty Loops. I love this band the way they are. It's unique and original with outstanding musicianship. I don't think it would add to the band. You don't add salt to something that already taste good. Thanks for the review.
@@GuitarSoloReactions , here's a short clip from a recent Dirty Loops live show featuring Jack Gardiner shredding on "Follow The Light!" Both the audio and video quality are nothing to write home about, but you can hear Jack well enough to recognize that he's very much of the same musical caliber as Jonah, Henrik and Aron. ua-cam.com/users/shorts50_2SCrx-EM?si=alRY_TkqNz8q4F2N
Guthrie Govan, would be amazing to hear with the boys! Why? Because he´s just so inventive and have that out-of-this-world technique! Plays with a lot of feel and colorful nuances. (Interesting that I was thinking about Guthrie Govan and Scott Henderson, without reading the other comments!! Guys, we are alike - love the same stuff! Cheers!)
Hi! I'd love to hear Scott Henderson, Guthrie Govan or Matteo Mancuso with them. I think these are the most fluid and versatile fusion players out there. Others would be: Frank Gambale, Greg Howe, Ritchie Kozten, Tom Quayle, Carl Mörner Ringström #dirtyloops
this was pretty funny as you just paused before the massive solo-ending where hendrik washed away the slightest calling for a guitar player... if there is one band outthere that surely do NOT need anything furthermore ist surely DL. and by the way they already did - for example the massive coop with cory wong. i learned some things in my musical life: don´t search for anything that isnt there in the music. if it isnt there, it isnt. be happy about and free yourself from your own socialisation and free your musical mind. otherwise you will be always and forever lost. if you want to have something, stop talking about and start making it - today and now! :)
I appreciate your thoughtful and well meaning advice. I’m aware of the Cory Wong collaborations and agree they don’t really need a guitar player. However, the name of the channel is Guitar Solo Reactions and I can dream a little. Hendrik can definitely cover much of the ground that a guitarist would. I just think having some of the following players like Pat Metheny, Matteo Mancuso, Scott Henderson, Joseph Anidjar or Joshua De La Victoria could add some color. You make many assumptions of what constructs I’m bound by and what I do musically speaking without any clue what I’m about. Anyway, thanks again for the comment and appreciate your passion for Dirty Loops.
@@GuitarSoloReactions you’re not the only one who’s said that they could imagine a guitar on a Dirty Loops track. I tend to think that such a thought is totally legit. I play the violin and viola, and found myself playing along with them in my mind, thinking it would sound killer (it wouldn’t I know 😉) But each and everyone of us hears things differently, based on our listening and playing habits. I’ve, by now, gotten used to the DLoops sound and don’t need another instrument in there anymore, but still catch myself sometimes with other bands, thinking that something’s missing, and if only they had an extra …. One can dream, indeed. Jonah put out a Bad Solo Challenge a few years ago: anyone could add a few bars of solo to his cover of “Bad” (this cover is really worthwhile listening to btw 🔥), and the sheer amount of insane offerings from ALL sorts of instrumentalists and singers was mindboggling. It definitely opened my mind to the endless possibilities of sounds and instrumentation in music…. And again, listening to Jack Gardiner playing along with Dirty Loops is 🔥

This song is an absolute soul classic. I like what they did, instruments and vocals. I’d love a guitar as well. That drummer and that kit!!!!

@@fiddlestix3025 Thank you.

Oh man I can’t wait to see what you’re thinking of this-. 👍
Hope you like it!

I agree. You can´t put ketchup on everything.
would love to hear Guthrie Govan with this band.
Excellent choice, sir! 🙂
Lari Basilio, she has played with them live :)

Jack Gardiner!
That would be cool.

Jack Gardiner doing a ‘cover’ of “Hit Me” by Dirty Loops :)
I was about to mention him too

Scott or Matteo would be cool to see play with DL.
Marzi Nyman from Finland might be a perfect fit on guitar...
Just appreciate them as they are! Stop the "if only" critique.
Hi Jeff. Feel free to not watch my videos. Start your own channel and you can express your opinions there. Thanks for comment.
I’m waiting impatiently for the Pat Metheny collaboration.
Yes, Pat came to mind after I finished the video. That would be great to see him with DL.
It would be out of this world awesome……… 🔥🔥🔥
Isaiah Sharkey would be a great fit!
Check out Carl Mörner Ringström for a guitar player. He's got lots of good stuff out on YT and he's also a good friend of theirs.
He plays on some of their other tracks as well...
Do they really need a guitar player? What would Henrick do? Ambassador Jenks
😉
It's a Swedish Band therefore a Swedish Guitar Player
Great point, which one?
