A vehicle like this would make a great dorm room for a university student. Work a little part time job that has a spot for you to plug in electricity and get water from. Store bags of dry rice and beans and at the end of your time walk away not owing 50 grand in student loans.
Very unique for sure. Thanks for the tour.
That is the coolest little camper I've ever seen.. what happened to engineering like that? Wow
Sweet looking Toyota camper. I've heard of the Toyota Liteace, but I've never seen one.
Cool stuff.
That rig was well taken care of
Ha!! My beloved 1987 Toyota van is named Otto!
Great daily too!
Clean looking rig
very nice,I'd love this like it's part of the family.
Wonderful presentation. Immaculate vehicle.
Wonderful vehicle!!!
Exactly what I would look for they are really reliable too
I'm not sure which one is cooler the car by itself or the retro tv! Great stuff :P
Way Cool. I want one!
My Dream Van
such a neat and kool van
Nice look
That’s very unique! & it’s a perfect size !
Thanks!
This is a near perfect touring van. You might not want to camp in it regularly, but it would make a great "driving van". Bathroom and comfortable seating for your kids!
Cool deal dude
I would love something like this!
Me too
Wow is that neat
It's a very reasonable one and relaxing !.
"...coated in diamond plate..."? 😆👌🏼lol
Real neat
I like it
Супер Дом !!!! Супер мечта!!!
Nice, not too big. Who need a house bus on wheels. Look at the front road view. I would put a custom steel impack front bumper but.
Крутая тачка 😁👍
crickey, 148 comments :) - the 1st thing I did with my 1993 CM65 Camper (not the Compo) was ruby blast and 2 pack enamel the underside in Feb 2019. At this age, if you dont under-seal these vehicles, and regularly visit sea areas or drive on salt roads in the winter, even with a full steel chassis (which the vans dont have) it will start to rot within 1 year (my last van did, same age). These vehicles drive really nicely (if you can handle the manual 5 speed column shift), they physically feel like a car to drive, and the diesel motor is not gutless either.
Thats a nice refit of the inside. The camper version does not have that overhead front accessible space (its a small sleep or large storage space) and it has the smaller split sliding windows (with screens), so the inside of the Compo looks much larger. The lack of better fridge size, hob and combined T&S and pantry (which the campers have) makes the Compo more of a "day tripper". I am 6'2" and I live in my CM65, and I can tell you, at 2am when you get the munchies in a city you dont know, being able to pass under a _fast food drive thru_ limiter shows that there was indeed divine intervention in the design of these cabin spaces ;)
that coating was used a lot on the North Island of Japan due to having more snow
With the housing crisis is Australia this is epic
That short wheelbase must feel touchy in a strong wind when motoring down the highway.
Cute as a button!
This has been sold! But feel free give us a call or an email to reserve a similar vehicle like this.
OttoEx how much did you sell it for? Just wanna get the idea
For some reason they refuse to answer this. I am guessing that the prices are insane. Anytime someone deliberately hides their prices it is one of those "if you have to ask" things. They know how to import and get these through customs so they use that unique knowledge to jack up the prices. I am going to research importing these on my own.
They sell houses 2x price cash to China and they leave em empty.....compete with that..
Project Pete I learnt the price. They said 18K dollars
Thank you for the info. I figured it might be about that much. About 2x what you could buy it for if you imported yourself and paid the fees and did all the legwork and paperwork.
Most people have no idea how to do this so it makes sense they could sell it at that.
pregunta hay de este modelo pero actualizado no se si me doy a entender una camper con esta configuración pero con los equipos de hoy con baño completo, cocina, nevera y los otros equipos
very nice. im curious of the exportation cost.
Классный кемпер!!
Why can't America ever get anything so awesome!!!!!
Can't call out but they call here etc etc...comes with Liberty. They are prob worried everyone would drive em till they die, that's a lot of lost revenue and fees trading. Wonder about lithium battery burn wasn't a set up to. Can't get a lot of stuff.
I know, right? What I like the most is the steering column-mounted gear shift. You don't see that any more. The last time I saw a car with a column mounted manual shifter was a 1968 Toyota Corona.
This video is from Oregon, which last I checked was part of America. These great '90s vans and trucks from Japan are now legal to import and register for road use here.
I know where Oregon is. I've visited there a few times. What's always bothered me is why they weren't allowed at the time of debut allowed to be sold in the USA.
Communist?!
You did a great job restoring it. I thought vehicles used in the US though had to have steering wheel on left.
Прикольный 👍🏻
they are practical jewels
I never had trouble with Chevy Tracker auto hubs in 3rd vehicle now 200000 miles each
The inside is really awesome !
What’s with parking on the railroad crossing?
Вот это Да!!!! Вот это моя мечта!!! Где взять ?! Деньги не вопрос!
--- never. Seen one before ?
How much does something like this cost because I am looking for something small...
I don't suppose that engine is strong enough to tow...but if some what would be the Gross amount of weight ?
The question why aren’t they made for Us driving ?
MPG?
Japanese steering wheel placement. Nice upholstery.
Was that the exhaust right under the passenger seat? They made no effort to get the exhaust out and away by running it to the back?
How do I buy one of these from you I love it!!!
I know
no cooker ?
It's a little close to the tracks but it's not mine so what do I know
Could you share a link for that electrical cord adapter from japanese plug to us?
Sweet! Where did you find it?
This one was living in Japan before we brought it over.
Hey we have a similar Liteace camper. It's the 1990 Liteace "European". Were you able to find any user manuals or electric diagrams for your Liteace?
Let me know if you’re interested in selling yours! That’s what I’m looking for.
Thanks
@@djfeitl8846 I sold that when I left New Zealand but I’ve been traveling in my 1981 Toyota Sunrader for the last year or so. And actually I do have that for sale now if you’re interested :)
Send me the link if you would
@@djfeitl8846 hmm it won’t let me post a link. If your search Sunrader in Seattle Craigslist you’ll find it. The van is located in San Diego but I poster it in Seattle because it is registered in Washington.
This is so cool I want to get one but I have so much questions…. Like what do you do if you need motor parts ?? Does it have to be important from Japan ??
Японцы делают отличные кемперы
I want it
👍
What is the dimension of this vsn?
Is that parked on railroad tracks lol?
What is the max tire and rim size that these can take?
They are built on the same chassis as the pre tacoma US pickup, so anything suspension or rim and tire would fit.
I am 6 ft, would I be able to stand comfortably in one of these rigs?
Can i ask the dimension of this van?
I want one!! Where to buy in US?
Could you tell how heavy is the whole thing?
These usually weigh in around 4,100 lbs dry.
Can a 7 foot tall guy fit on this bed?
There's a shower but no toilet ?
Am i seeing this correctly ?
Poop in the shower bro
No stove to cook means no poop.
@@brucefortner5831 lmao!
I got a glimpse of a toilet paper holder, so there must be a crapper in the shower.
Just poop out on Windows.
How Much I want one.
🚙 No cook top🍳, no 🚽.
Can any of those vehicles import in Europe??
Can i ask how much it sold for?
The only thing i wish it had was a stove and mayne an oven.
do u guys have a sales website
It's www.ottoex.com
OttoEx thank you
No toilet?
Where's the porta-potty?
а чё не на саму железную дорогу поставил?
wow awesome i would like to buy it but its sold in ur website 😕 anywayz can u tell me the price ?
How much?
toilet ? stove ? oven ?
No, NIP, nada!!
so no potty?
Nora Horne 👎
just shit on the shower floor and mash it down the drain with your toes, just like you would in a house.
Shower but no toilet? Interesting. Toilets seem more crucial than showers.
I would not put a toilet in my van. Must Smells. They are ton of store with bathroom and park and golf course. If you go in the morning, it would alway be morning time to do your business. But I keep a small round igloo drink cooler as a We we can and empty as just left over drinks in the grass.
Is for sale
Look like a hearse from the side view....
How much $
Where's the toilet?
WHERE IS THE TOILET? what do you cook on? IS IT ONLY FOR SLEEPING WITH A GANG?
I guess you could use a bucket? Line it with heavy duty plastic, cover your business with cat litter. Bring along a camping stove.
Cost
How much
New modify again in india.
I really dreaming bus house, but dont sales in malaysian .....
Right hand drive
5 on the tree
Diesel
4x4
Only way it would be better if’n it had a kitchen and less windows looks like a sightseeing bus
PETER PIPER most Toyota hiace from the early 80s have that gear style gear shifter , the early ones had only 4 speed box are were mainly petrol , we’ve had both !! I’ve drove a lot of vans cars trucks etc and I’d love this style gear shift over any !! This is a Manuel gearbox so forget about automatic here ! There last hiace they made in petrol was a 1600 engine I’ve not heard of higher and I’m sure the engine was rear wheeled drive until they changed to diesel but the hiace petrol 4 gear column stick was d bizz , rear wheel drive if you had no load inside u could drop that gear into second and go around a corner sideways it was the most fun van u could ever drive but it was also the most reliable of its kind thru the 80s and 90s I’d love to own a old one even these liteace were a get smaller version no column gear drive which should be put back into vans imho everything was so simple but seriously well built
Whitefeather slinger
Nice
the prices of japanes cars in the 90's are soaring.
толчка нет чтоли?)
