FINALLY getting a chance to watch this conversation and I’ve been nodding since the beginning. It’s really important what Kgomotso shared on mental health and alleviating pressure. I remember at my previous job we had what was called “Meeting Free Fridays” and a rule of no meetings before 9 am and wow, that did so much for us as individuals from a pressure perspective. It then went to reevaluating the culture of inviting people to meetings they really didn’t need to be in and how that took away time people could have used to tackle other work. One thing that’s also taken for granted that happens in corporate is having “meetings to have meetings” 😅 … I remember the CFO urged people to actually take off or even land! Those lessons have been invaluable to me, easy as they may seem and if all corporates adopted a similar attitude, people would get a sense of calmness in their day-to-day.
Appreciate the wisdom being imparted by Kgomotso! ❤

I resonated deeply with the part where Kgomotso said even if it turned out that this God and prayer thing was a sham, she would continue praying.
This is because I have countless testimonies of times where praying - or at least the act of presenting my thoughts (however messy they are) or sitting in silence - has resulted in me having immense clarity and/or walking away with the most brilliant of ideas; depending on what my need was ahead of that moment.
Overall, this was a magnificent conversation. Thank you for serving us in this way. Both of you.

Exposing the truths.Thank you ladies. My opinion is; we are descendants from the colonial mental construct. Our parents told us to excel at school and get the best job then you are successful, this is why women think work is their value. We are at the crossword trying to balance work and family. We need both work and family to live well.

Thank you for the interview .I respect ur views and also Kgomotso's experience.
However as a Frontline member corporate is more harsh and unrewarding
. Unfortunately I do not have the wonderful experience of being under supreme leadership.I am being under the management of a female who has a high level of toxicity. The depiction of corporate is more sugar coated and privileged then what it is . I do not share the same perspective she shares .
As a corporate worker I would like another relateble podcast speaking on the challenged WE face from a non managerial position. We re made to believe we re inadequate on a daily it is frustrating and unmotivated to be told this by another top level Manager who does not have any empathy .Classism at it's Finest !
