Did you ever get an update for the unit to have full screen Android Auto? Looking at the motorized 13.3" Android head unit from JOYING. It is the same unit, other than the 1080P screen. It looks nice, only if they don't have that button like iPad. Make it not look like a headunit, more like a iPad lol.
It is a great job by joying but I feel like they’ve tried to copy Apple too much; both with the physical home button and the UI. They’ve made a great head unit with a good screen and motorized rotation. Maybe be more brave to make their own car UI software and maybe a few more physical buttons to reflect the fact that it’s a car head unit. Glad to see joying coming with HD units though

Significantly better over the old ones. Dsp unit on top is even better
There's a newer EV can in China which name is escaping me right now that has a rotating display built in from factory. Frankly I can see this becoming more common over time. I heard one reviewer for example say they felt the Mach E display got less in the way in portrait orientation vs the Tesla they owned, and then you could park and watch some video content and the display could flip into landscape.

2019/2020, people should be expecting something like “3D hologram” head unit. Yet, people are easily impressed by a motorized car radio 😂
It’s a nice idea for a car stereo but You can hear that motor chuggin to rotate that screen though.

Rotating of course sounds good in practice....but this device doesn't even have any physical volume buttons. I dare anyone in here to try adjusting the volume in direct sunlight when you can't see the screen at all.
Problem #2 is this silly apsect ratio. Rotating makes no difference when we are basically back to the 4:3 days....there's almost no advantage to flipping it!

None of those brands have auto rotate and are much more expensive
