"Tangos del Titi", Mozaico Flamenco
Baile solo and choreography by Kasandra "La China" with Andreana Karogiannis and Kara Wiebe. This number has had many versions, incorporates tapao/percussion with footwork/fan and is a cheeky number from imaginings from a Concha Jareno workshop at Al Mozaico Flamenco Dance Academy one year. As usual guest artists begin an idea and it is up to the artists to work on it locally until a final vision is created.
Kasandra has been an important part of the Vancouver flamenco scene for over 25 years, co-founding www.mozaicoflamenco.com with mentor Oscar Nieto in 2002. She continues her career as performing bailaora and mentor/teacher in this community and spearheads the Sunday Salon Series project.
