Hi! Your video was really useful, I loved it :D. I’m actually going to UofT in the fall and staying in the Woodsworth residence. There’s a few things I’m curious about. 1. From your video and other videos I’ve seen as well, your private room seems quite small, at least smaller than I’m used to. I’m wondering if you ever struggled with space in your room and if so, what are some ways you maximized the amount of space in your room? 2. I’m a relatively light sleeper and I’ve always worried about the noise levels at night. Have you ever had any problems sleeping? Are the walls thin? 3. I moved a lot when I sleep haha, I was also worried about the bed size. What size is your bed? Thanks in advance! You seem so sweet and I loved this video. Stay safe in quarantine!
Hey!! Awe, yay I’m glad this video was useful! That makes me so happy:). To answer your questions: I would actually say that the ww rooms are quite spacious compared to other res rooms! To help w/ storage each suite has 2 storage rooms so you can put alot of your bulky items in there to so there’s space in your own personal room for only your essential stuff so I never really found myself struggling with space:). Yes, the walls are pretty thin so when your roommates make loud noises you can usually hear it so I guess that’ll depend on your roommates! I basically never had problems sleeping though because at the beginning of the year you make “suite rules” with the don and your suitemates and you guys decide on things such as quiet hours in the suite. The bed is a twin XL I believe. At home I have a queen so like you I was worried but honestly the twin XL is quite spacious! I actually think the WW bed’s are soooo comfortable haha. I sleep so well in those beds. Hope you’re staying safe too and lmk if you ever have any more questions! :)
Hi, I was hoping you could elaborate on the residence application process. Do you need to indicate Woodsworth College as your first priority to get assigned Woodsworth College Residence? Also, did you meet any CS Majors at your time at Woodsworth? Can I stay at Woodsworth Res if I'm applying to UOfT for CS? Looking forward to hearing from you. Thanks
Hey! Yes, I believe that you do need to indicate both the college and the res as your first choice! As for meeting CS Majors, I actually did !! One of my good friends was a CS major and I think he had friends that are now CS majors too so you can definitely apply to Woodsworth res if you're applying for a CS major:) Lmk if you have any more questions and I'd be happy to help!
hey! I know 4th years that have stayed on rez throughout their uni careers. I think it just gets harder to get a spot because the majority of spots at a rez are reserved for first years! But, you could definitely stay for all 4 years. :)
Hey! I know for a fact you can buy one at new college, but I'm not so sure about UC so I'd double check that:). New college supposedly has the best dining hall food though!
Hi! To my knowledge all bathrooms are shared... Chestnut is 1 bathroom for 2 people so that might be your best bet? I'd double check though to make sure, but I don't believe there are private bathrooms for any of the residences.
Wow thank you! This was the most well spent 14 minutes of my day 🤣
AWE HAHA THANK YOU!
Awwwhh this is so cute and informative andrea!!
Thanks girlll!!! 😘❤️

Hi!! I have a question, you can live in the residence for all four years or just the first one??
hey! I know 4th years that have stayed on rez throughout their uni careers. I think it just gets harder to get a spot because the majority of spots at a rez are reserved for first years! But, you could definitely stay for all 4 years. :)
Hey, is it possible to stay at WW residence but buy a meal plan at new college dining hall or University college?
Hey! I know for a fact you can buy one at new college, but I'm not so sure about UC so I'd double check that:). New college supposedly has the best dining hall food though!

Do you always have suit mates of the same gender?
Hey! It depends on what you put on your suite mate preference form that you'll get in the summer before your year of res :)
