This guitar is a beast. I did do a bunch of upgrades and a pickup swap. The EMGs are really good I just never could jive with actives. I have a new USA sol-cal but had to level the frets from the factory, I actually ordered another one before the process but had the exact problem with dead strings and buzzing. This Marco sig has a beautiful neck really well done nice and level. 🤘🏼✌🏼
This is first time owning a guitar with the EMG’s, I’m really in love with the clean tones I’m getting. What kind of pickups did you end up putting in?
@@JimmysGuitarShop I put dimarzio dp117 single coils and a super distortion humbucker. It’s actually the exact pickups that came in n my USA model and I really like them.
I really am so close to pulling the trigger on this charvel, seems versatile cool axe, love the paint job, great playing and great demonstration, thanks for your upload 👍🙏🐱
Thanks for the video, and superb playing!🤘♥️ I think Marco Sfogli is one of my favourite active guitarists. Jeff Beck + Andy Timmons + Steve Lukather + The definitive is 80s shred vibe = Marco Sfogli?
Just got my one today 👍 just going through the string stretch process and oiling the knife edges up, and hopefully it will have better tuning stability in a few days, that being said a great axe for sure... Beautiful tone's for sure very happy indeed! Keep rocking bro you play great 👍
That’s awesome news! If you’re not used to the floating trem it might take a little time to get the tuning down right. I find having just the right tension on the Floyd helps most. If you find it too unstable you could get a trem stopper from FU tone to stop the Floyd from floating. Just be patient with it you’ll be fine.
I do love the look, and style of this... Tomorrow im putting this 🎸 against the new Ibanez Prestige with HSS EMG n see which is better. Recent years im more of a charvel guy and absolutely love the look of this so cal.... Awsome playing 💯👊
Thanks for the rocking demo. Any idea how would the next of this guitar compare to an Ibanez rg42mdx? I used to have the rg42mdx which I loved but had to sell it unfortunately. In the market for a new guitar and want to know your thoughts on the neck comparison. Cheers from Australia 😊
I'm not familiar with that RG model but the Charvel is a pro intstrument, I've played other Ibanez necks I don't really like their necks I think this Charvel would be a huge upgrade
Cam you please tell me how does the neck feels? Is it more like ibanez rg thin and other ibanez metal guitars or more like usual C but thinner ? Thank you
Neck feels great, very smooth very fast. It’s not like an Ibanez neck at all, body has the cut out for upper fret access. Neck has a compound radius so it feels nice in the hand up and down the fretboard
I'm playing through a Marshall DSL 40 combo, I was using a HeadRush gigboard for the clean effects (chorus and delay) and just the overdrive red channel for distortion on the amp
Thanks for the reply. I’m really digging this guitar. I currently have a Fender Ultra Strat and an old Jackson Professional made in Japan. I’m wondering if this signature will offer me something those two guitars can’t offer
Off the bat these EMG pickups are sick, the EMG 89 sounds so good with distortion and cleans up so nice. Zero noise or hum. It’s a floating trem so it’s fun to pull up on harmonics and really make it wail. I played out with it last night got a ton of compliments on the tone. If you get one I don’t think you’ll be disappointed

I love it, been using it quite a bit with my band everyone compliments the tone on the guitar. The neck is unreal, best I've ever played

@@JimmysGuitarShop my pleasure. ♥️🙏
Is the fact you look like Marco a coincidence? 😊 Great tones and demo!
Thank you for the kind words! Someone else has mentioned the likeness to me, I wish I could play like him lol
I was just thinking that 😅
My man...... 🤘🤘Sounds awesome!

Enjoyed your playing ! Very talented. I too think it sounds great. Thinking of getting one. Do those EMG's need batteries ?
Thank you for the kind words! There is a battery compartment for the EMG’s in the back takes one 9 volt.
You should get it I think you’ll love it!

Is that EMG 89 extremely different or alot like the 81?
I’ve never played an 81 but a friend of mine who has says the 89 and 81’s are very similar

But is thinner then usual modern C necks?
Thank you!
@@reallygood7886 to me it feels about the same

I prefer arda guitars made in Italy.
I’ll have to look into their guitars I’m not familiar with them
