Thank you so much you give me so much information!!
Impeccable timing Jon, just the stuff I was looking for. I just got myself a bomber, been eyeing a Filson or Flint and Tinder jackets for a minute too.
Love your suede and leather jackets
Great Round up
Loving my Shacket from M&S UK, perfect for Autumn.
I am also wearing a Barbour Duke in rustic, Levis Sherpa baige chord and knee length navy rain mac, autumn is a great season for mens fashion 👌
The Ventile Mac from Private White VC is probably my favorite fall piece at the moment.
Great video!!! 👍🏽😃
07:43 - that isn't the Billy Reid peacoat! Wrong picture sir!
It's not even double-breasted...
Ring Jacket is truly special. It'll be a fun review, and also great context for everything else you want. Definitely get something in a Balloon or Calm Twist fabric. Oh, or try their jersey button-up shirts.
nice video. i luv it
"Field jacket!" (shows a parka, then an anorak...) Come on, man, show an M-65.
Great choices and options here Jon! Check out Yeossol next time you looking for a dope casual or elevated classic jacket! I have the Urban Safari jacket coming in a mottled olive linen cloth!
@ 8:49 what exact brand and model is that black field jacket? Has rectangular pocket flaps, at least on top, which I have been looking for in field jackets for some time, it's quite a rarity and exception, the rule is the typical pointed ones, a la M65. Unfortunately this black jacket has slanted flaps for the lower pockets, man what is wrong with designers missing the simple rectangular flaps?
A correction @8:57 , the G9 is the jacket model name, the brand who created it was Baracuta (UK). In fact that is the brand which created the Harrington jacket, at least according to the Wikipedia entry for Harrington Jacket. So there's no "Harrington" brand that created this type of jacket. Apparently the Harrington name comes from a character played by Ryan O'Neal in a soap opera from the 60s, who wore the jacket.
Leather jacket definitely!!!
I remember trying on your Grand Frank. Amazing jacket and I still want it 😬
Great vid! Love the range of styles you presented. I didn’t hear chore coats mentioned, is that intentional?
Chore coats and field coats have always been synonymous to me. I don’t consider any of the coats that were pictured to be field coats. Check out L.L. Bean, Eddie Bauer, or Land’s End field coats. I like the look and they look good over a sweater, vest, or fleece pullover.
Check out Belstaff wax cotton jackets. Kinda like Barbour but with more of a motorcycle influence.
I had a great polo harington jacket a few years ago.
Good video Jon. You forgot overcoat/top coat/car coat though.
I have the ring jacket balloon wool polo coat in navy. It’s fantastic. Incredibly thick and insulting (while being super soft and unlined, which is a testament to the quality of the wool). Expensive (I got it from the armoury in NYC four years ago for $2k I believe) but will last a lifetime. Recommended!
I've never heard of the brand Harrington Original but the original Harrington jacket is the Baracuta G9. Ryan O'Neill's character Rodney Harrington wore one in the TV show Peyton Place, hence the name.
One other timeless garment that can cover all seasons depending on the fabric and that is currently “trending” is the safari jacket, which, especially with a belt IMO, can look really good with a suit and effectively replace a jacket. Check out two Singapore brands, yeossal and collaro for their take on it. Great vid as always!
Wow! I actually bought the Skymaster bomber Jacket a month ago. I love that bomber! I'm always in search for new bombers and the next one I want is a grey bomber jacket from suitsupply.
I am also curious about Belstaff; price point is a little higher but has nicer look to it.
I ❤️them ALL!! 👍🏽😃
Barbour wax cotton jackets are truly classy jackets, though expensive
No mate, they are made to last forever.
£150-200 is an investment
I buy them through end clothing that has a lot of high end/luxury brands and sometimes snipe them on sale. Got 3 Barbour jackets for $100 a piece and the flask aswell lol. Got a Wax Jacket but it’s tricky getting your size since they run out pretty quickly, keep an eye in that website and you might score a decent jacket as decent price (or clothes in general).
@@toonlad4091 They cost about $400 in the US. But I agree, the beaufort one size down is my favorite fall jacket
They are much cheaper in the UK. You can get them from End clothing on sale or Cox the Saddler.
@@dereklap1159 I know, that doesn't negate the fact they are $400 in the US, where most people will be shopping for them if they are watching this video
Anyone know what brand the blue knitted sweater is that he is wearing in the video?
What about blazers and sport coats?
Veilance? Worth try!
Form and Thread have a huge range of “Shackets” or shirt jackets.
Independence Brothers Jackets = more bank for your buck! 5 stars highly recommend that brand.
Do you ever feature gant? I always liked gant, great trainers too, sorry sneakers
Definitely want to add a Pea coat to my list not sure if there are any available online that's descent condition. Maybe I can get one for my birthday. Excellent content!
J crew got on them on sale. 50 percent off right now.
@@trentwallace1388 Are they descent quality? Thanks
OUTERKNOWN Blanket Shirts have replaced my flannels this Fall!
I've had my eye on the Flint leather jacket from Soul Revolver. Has anyone tried that company's products? Are they high-quality, durable and long lasting, or should I avoid that brand and look elsewhere. I purchased a Perry Ellis leather jack on sale and it's nice but after less than a year of wearing it the black finish has already started to wear off on the cuffs and elbows. I'm hoping to find something better. I like the clean style of that flint and I'm looking for something lightweight as I live in a warmer climate.
Nice
My favorite pea coat is from Schott NYC
Check out Private White VC's pea coat. It's far better than Schott's.
I don't want to be rude but that's not a trench coat you're wearing at 5:00, it's the trench coats minimalistic brother: a mackintosh coat, it has 1 line of buttons, no shoulder flaps, no belt, no gun flap, no back vent, no hook and eye. it is marketed as a trench coat on their site though
Anyone here have recommendations for a water resistant spray for coats?
Do you know a Good overshirt Jacket or a Workwear Style Jacket under 120€ ?
The color temp of your camera seems a little warm
Living in San Francisco it’s hard to understand this whole Seasons thing. But this is one of those videos I love because a ton of these could make for one stylish layer... as long as it’s light. Looking into those Ventile fabric jackets. Thanks for another great video my dude.
You mean it's hard to understand the whole fashion thing? Because everyone in the bay area wears fleece vests and jeans?
@@Mateo-et3wl i try mot to judge... let’s just say personally i don’t own a single piece of fleece.
I like the leather one. I only use leather jackets and sweaters.
I'm surprised you mentioned pea coats and duffel coats, but not overcoats. Overcoats can look great and stylish, whether you're wearing a suit or not.
Already a Levi's denim jacket wearer
Get it in the colusa wash it's dark wash but perfect stretch!
Dream one is the katobrand japanese brand type 1 version
Hate those bombers tho.. I love the flight jackets ones more but those weird ones are..
Hate the zero silhouette look honestly too doesn't build it's own silhouette it just this weird form part of body look
The all saints link is broken
You’re so slim everything looks good on you.
In relation to leather jackets I think you said “ not to buy genuine leather”, can you please expand ?
Thanks Michael
@UC_H3OBf6jKjCgk6QEBWLCAg I learned a lot from your link. Thanking you.

@@Mateo-et3wl White! Really!
Filson is living off their reputation. Their quality has gone down, as most everything now comes from overseas. The exception is anything made from their Mackinaw wool. Those products are still made in the USA. The Mackinaw wool garments are fairly expensive, but the cost is worth it. They will last you a lifetime.
I like buying made in the U.S.A as the next man but just because something is made overseas doesn't mean it's worse, if you did a blind test with two of the same product with one made in the U.S and one made in Taiwan you wouldn't be able to tell the difference. Now there are some really poor utility stuff made overseas but there is poor quality stuff made in the U.S aswell
Thought ASOS has a crappy quality in its products, am i wrong?
Isn't the Bond jacket more of an overcoat?
Just navy and cut above the knee?
Love the Andy Bernard, The Office references 👍
The picture you showed is NOT a Billy Reid peacoat.
Didn’t you say you were leaving youtube??
"Bond wore this peacoat in skyfall" -- *shows photo of a single-breasted overcoat*.
He does not really know what he is talking about.
pro tip: watch series on flixzone. I've been using them for watching all kinds of movies lately.
@Knox Charlie Yea, been watching on Flixzone} for months myself :)
Fall fashion... *cries in Arizonian*
You didn't talk about an overcoat. Like a trench coat.
Burberry trench coat was in the video
@@squigglyphrank9348 sorry I wasn't clear. When I say like a trench coat. I don't mean they are the same. Trench oftentimes are double breasted I'm design. Overcoat or topcoat is often single breasted, thus less formal looking. More sleek. It's like a longer version of a sports jacket that's how I view it...
You get some negatory flak below - but isn't all flak negatory - and I'm sorry to add more but that sherpa-lined trucker jacket's too long. They should fall to below the belt, yes, but that far? The great virtue of this style jacket is if you're a little long in the trunk & short in the leg, this will fix you up.
I like the look of Harringtons, but I've never bought one because my brain just sees them as "over 50 suburban dad" jackets. 😂
Looking to size down on a camel overcoat to wear casually.
You missed Private White VC. Their pea coat is way better than Billy Reid's.
Ehhhhh debatable
Debatle for style, which is always subjective, but not for the quality of the materials used, nor from where they are made. I've owned both pea coats along with many other jackets and coats from both brands. The quality of PWVC 's are noticeably higher than those from Billy Reid. @@fengmin8

I hate double zippers
This video felt rushed: Harrington is a nickname, the brand is Baracuta and the model name is G9. Your Bond Peacoat wasn't even a peacoat but a single breasted overcoat - which ironically, you did not mention even though they are the more typical overcoats over polo coats. Finally, your field jacket didn't really look like field jackets to me.
That being said, personally I hope to see some reviews of overcoats. The market is saturated with polyester ones and I'm really struggling to find one in proper wool or, for something less common, corduroy.
I miss wearing denim jackets so much, but California is balls now and we'll never wear jackets ever again.
my children and I have been watching your video for well now you always make our day my little girl who is 4 years old ask me to start channel like this so I did I will like to invite you to check it out😊😊ll
That was more of a parka jacket than a field jacket
Do they make any for actual masculine men who love chicks? All these are for girls
They'll be perfect for you then
@@niemand2485 sorry, I’m not queer.
Did you mean to say to "try and avoid FAKE leather"? Because only genuine leather will develop a nice patina and last you ages
Genuine leather is cheap, low quality leather. Full grain is the best followed by top grain.
@@teo72ng17 yup you're right! I had no idea about the different distinctions. Thanks
That first isn't a "Bomber". Respectfully, quilted jackets are uncool and outdated imho. Trench coats are stylish, cool and most important - functional (like real bomber/flight jackets). What ? "Don't buy real leather"????????? Yes there are synthetics/faux but to AVOID the real thing is just wrong....
When he said avoid genuine leather it means to get a top grain or full grain leather. Genuine leather or corium won’t last as long.
@@coolguy10000000 Yes and No. For durability (work) or Fashion (casual) Each has it's use. Genuine leather is thinner than full-grain and top-grain leather, but it's strong, supple and has a much better drape.
@@MikeBixby oh good to know. After switching over from genuine leather to top/full grain I haven't turned back. I just like the feel more
@@MikeBixby Genuine leather is cheap quality leather that won't last nor look good long term. If top grain or full grain leather is out of your price range then sure get a genuine leather jacket. Just know that it won't age as beautifully or last as long.
The suede jacket is made out of baby goats :/
Don't change the name every year :/ if you don't have a new video don't act like an old one is a new one
How did this video get 4 million views in one day? That's like Ariana Grande video premiere numbers...
