quick question does the Econ, Comfort and Sport mode have any effect on the supercharger. like in Econ mode the supercharger produces less power like 140 BPH and in Sports mode it makes about 190 BPH.
I used to own a CR-Z for about four years and I loved the car. Not only was it one of the best looking cars on the road, but it was remarkably practical with a rather big boot and easily folding rear seats. I even used the rear seats for carrying actual people on several occasions, even though my friends joked that the rear seats were purposefully designed as a Japanese torturing device :-) The power was a little underwhelming, but it could drive decently fast when pushing the transmission to the limit. The transmission was hands down one of the best units I've ever used. The transmission in my current Mustang is decent and I like it a lot, but the CR-Z was so much more satisfying. That being said, the aluminium ball on the gear lever was a real pain in the winter. When it was really cold, I couldn't touch it with my bare skin which was seriously inconvenient. Another thing I miss is the awesome instrument cluster with the combined digital speedometer and analog tachometer. All things considered it was a fun little car that could easily become a legend if Honda decided to go with the engine of the 3rd gen Type R.
I actually like these.. i thought they did the crx justice styling wise... performance mehh... however its a honda so im sure other honda engines can swap in with minimal hassel.. but i dnt know i never really checked one out
I've owned two CR-Z's. I supercharged the first one. The second one has a turbo. After a proper wheel/tire setup, some forced induction and the HPD limited slip differential, it should be a decent car. Again, not something Honda offered in a showroom, you have to do it yourself.
But I had more fun than could be believed in my HF. That thing was awesome and drove all the way from Philly to Boston on less than a tank of gas. I do agree w your post though😕
I bought a 2014 CR-Z as a daily and love the thing, the 6-speed is awesome. Saw the mixed reviews but as a tech I knew what I was getting into, and after 4 years and 140 000kms still love driving it everyday. And it is very sporty for low reving 1.5L engine that is has. I put 1 inch wheel spacers on the rear to bring out the inset wheels and left the rims stock as I liked them, added rear spoiler and a Takeda CAI and then my aftermarket stereo, tinted the windows, and other then change the oil I have not done a single other thing.
Last time i saw one of these on the road it was doing a hand brake skid out of a karting venue parking lot. It crashed into a road sign... To be fair, most front wheel drive 114hp skids end that way.
I’m glad you spoke so highly and didn’t put it down like most people do! I love my CRZ and don’t really think much could replace it. You’re friend needs some BC Racing Coils and a proper alignment then it’ll handle great
The hybrid part kept me away until I found a leftover new 2015 in 2016 discounted which I saw as a future battery replacement allowance. Dark gray with black contrast cut wheels. This car is so good with enough sport and looks that I hope to run it till the battery craps out and maybe after. No way the crx was as well made and as safe and comfortable and no way the original insight was as good day to day and as stable at high speed. If you're a honda guy and want something sportier than the excellent fit, get it. Mpg low 40's city and highway, doesnt matter.
great job, you edited your post and then pretend to have not made the mistake in the first place. You said "CRZ's don't exist anymore". So now instead of having a laugh about it I just think you're a little bitch.
Great review! I'm picking up a 2012 ex, cherry red with black rims and slight tint tomorrow. I've wanted this car for years!! My car now is finally worth more than I owe on it, so after looking at cr-zs dreaming for the past 3 years in finally a reality. So amped. The sport mode is so incredibly fun, you truly feel the boost, and like you said there is slight drift in the back, but I can adapt to that, and if that is the only issue for driving really, I'm ok with that. So many pros with this car. I mostly wanted to share my excitement I guess hahaha but loved this review.
I used to own a CRZ. Loved every minute of it. Insanely cheap to run as a daily, but equally as fun blasting up the mountains. I hit Blood Mountain 3 or 4 times a year with my friends and kept up with Si’s. Man this video made me want another one!!
The first gen Honda Insight hybrid came standard as a stick, and a lot of people bought them that way. They're pretty easy to find on Craigslist these days.
I bought a 2011 CR-Z in October of last year, mostly for the economy. Gas here in Hawaii mid May is over $3.65 /gal. I did an experiment on gas mileage. I switched to 89 octane, which gives me 44-45 mpg consistently, using mileage divided by gallons used, not the onboard computer. A recent trip of 215 miles gave me 47.5 mpg. Plus it's a BLAST to drive. This last fill-up I put in 93 octane premium to see if it makes any difference in mileage or performance. The next tank will give more of an accurate result, having less remaining 89 octane in the mix. It's only supposed to get about 37 or so combined mileage on 87 octane, so I'm really happy with it. The interior layout is a perfect layout for my wife and I. The "back seat" panel is usually folded down, which gives out-of-view storage for small items. Thanks for your great review of that CR-Z. I subscribed, so looking forward to seeing more videos.
Funny how this video inspired me into getting one of these. Now after a year or so... I finally got one, and it's... Great. For a kid that looks for fun sports car (especially in UK) I wouldn't look much further. You can insure it fairly cheap, and it drives well, goes well and get decent MPGs. Yes in straight line it is lacking on stock motor, even I realized it after a week... When I got a little more confident. As for driving in turns it's just great. As for daily car it works good as well. And I agree, stock shifter feels like short shifter and I love it.
I fell like honda had good intentions with the hybrid but i felt that they should of done that with the fit, then later on add it to the CRZ when the hybrid system was perfected. I would still like to see the CRZ make a come back because who doesnt love the instant torque of an electric motor and the top end of a high revving honda motor.
I've got the 2011 CRZ. Drives great. Love the UFO look of it. Do wish it had the wishbone suspension my Prelude had. And the sunroof. Man, I miss my Prelude. Could care less about back seats however.
The original Honda Insight from the early 2000s was a hybrid that was available as a manual. I owned an automatic for a couple of years and it was really neat, curb weight of 1800 pounds will let you keep the speed through the corners really well, which was needed because the 0 to 60 was around 12.5. I considered trying to modify it, but the only real way to get performance from that was a K-series engine swap....which is awesome, but so expensive.
I actually owned a 2003 Honda civic hybrid with a 5 speed manual transmission. The crz is not the only hybrid with a manual transmission, but it's the most fun.
they actually made the supercharger kit for the insight as well, I remember they had different stages all the way up to a full blown tuned version withal bunch of mods!
1. Yes, the 1st gen Insight was available in both stick & CVT versions. I had the stick version. 53 MPG, and slow as an armadillo. "Only Hybrid with a stick" referred to current production. 2. No rear seat in the U. S. because our safety rules require enough room for an average adult male to sit there without his head hitting the roof or rear window. The CR-Z is just too small back there. 3. I am on my second CR-Z, as is my wife. We each had a 2011, then she got a 2015, and I got a 2016. 170,000+ miles on mine when I traded it, never needed a single repair. I get about 43 MPG out of each of mine, and I drive the tires off this thing. It is a riot to toast unsuspecting WRXs. No chance with the STi, though. She gets about 46-47 from hers. Guess she's the better driver! Only reason I traded mine was Honda discontinuing the CR-Z. I knew if I ever wanted another one, and I did, then it was 2016 or never. Even if Honda does come out with a new version, it almost certainly won't be a 40+ MPG hybrid. :-(
I have a stock CRZ, bought new in '11. 320k on it, and still runs like new. I actually tried to order one as I wanted the EX package but they didn't sell them with a stick. The guy laughed at me and told me the factory that made them was destroyed in that tsunami. Honda had bigger plans originally. Jackson Racing was going to supply them with a supercharged Si version. They actually sold all the blowers that got made and quit pushing the car while they rebuild. Real shame. If you can find one of the Jackson blowers they are the way to go. Not quiet as weird under the hood either.
When I saw it for the first time at a car show I was exited. But when I found out they went hybrid and did not offer a high revving VTEC mill I was permanently put off. They would have sold a lot more with a proper VTEC in it, that's for sure. They practically cut out the only group that would give a damn about those cars. I suppose we should have been thankful there was a hybrid with a manual transmission...
I bought one in 2010 when they first came out and loved just about everything. I only did a few cosmetic upgrades. My average MPG was in the 50s. The car turned heads the entire 6 years I had it. With the limited number run, most didn’t know what it was or how much (little) it cost. I would definitely purchase another.
I experienced the head turning as well. It freaked me out for a bit, because I kept noticing cars slowing down while passing my house, and I started to get paranoid thinking they were casing my place to rob. Then I noticed it happening when I was at my Mom's house as well and when it happened while I was chatting with her neighbor out front, I finally realized it was the CAR parked out front that they were slowing to look at. Someone told me it looked like a spaceship once ...😆
You really have to own one of these cars to really appreciate them. Got my CRZ a couple months ago and always loved the styling, but the performance put me off on paper, but after owning the car for a while, it makes up for the lack of power in fun. It handles very well and response from the engine is great. Coming from owning an Integra GSR this car was definitely a more comfortable, cost saving and overall smart transition. Hasn’t let me down once. Except maybe going up hills lol.
There's a handful of people who have K-swapped the CR-Z and it's amazing it ends up being the car most of us were hoping for when we heard of a CR-X successor.
ITBs would increase throttle response and won't completely change the linear nature of an N/A car. Not to mention they sound incredible! Some cars deserve to be N/A and going forced induction can sorta "ruin" them. Besides when you are talking about money, it's WAY more expensive to build an N/A motor.
gospelwraith David did say he really wanted a Integra after driving thay yellow and it was also itb. Yea. They sound awesome!!! And throttle response. 😎
Man, I just got me a 2011 CR-Z haha. I love it so far. It's automatic though. I do wonder if the supercharger kit would work with an automatic. I think maybe down the road I'd like to add one.
its weird to me that people dont realize that the hondas we think of today were not their intention when making the car. The CRX is literally a 50MPG econo box that had 50hp. It wasnt until engine swapping that it was something desirable. This is exactly what the CRX was. a "sporty" economy car that gets really good MPG. the insight was the real hybrid car. also the CRX didnt have back seats in America but it did in other markets as well.
The underrated sports car that needs more boost. When I first saw this video, I was like "wait a second.. Supercharged?" Looks like cool things are possible if they're done right.
What's the day to day gas mileage when you have the turbo on it? I like to play around driving so I'm curious if that gas mileage would drop by having the added HP therefore making it more fun lol. Very curious.
I've had my CR-Z (also a 2011) for about 7 months now and I genuinely think I like it more than my 2006 Jetta GLI. Sure I'm no longer turbo'd, but I feel better about my carbon footprint, the electric motor gives you a nice kick down low with instant torque, it has V-tec, it's a 6 speed HYBRID, it saves me a ton of cash on 87 refills ,the car is sleak AND some of the body mods I've seen are incredible, and finally the car has sooooo much potential for mods. I can see this as being a hot buy in the future as sporty cars get harder to find that aren't plastic or full EV. I think these are in the last gen of ICE engines and I can see their value shooting up in the next 10-15 years. In the future I'd love to see an AWD conversion with a small turbo that kicks in at 3k rpm. If your battery is depleted you might struggle to climb hills (gotta love Appalachia), but with a turbo that start kicking in around 2700-3k rpm I think it'd provide the PERFECT supplement to the low end torque of the electric motor assist and still give awesome gas mileage. I'm rarely above 3k rpm unless I'm on an on-ramp :)
I love my 2012 CR-Z. Honestly I see more insight in it than crx. It's so fun to rip this car around city blocks. The auto-off is nice but can get annoying because it turns off things like heat or ac. Hill assist is nice when I want to be lazy and not use the parking brake and I prefer not having rear seats. I can fit my bike in the back. I want to know where he got those leather seats from!
It shouldn't shut the ac or heater off when in auto stop🤔 Maybe something is up with your z cuz on mine it will stay on if the ac is on,not sure about the heater though since I haven't tried it in this heat.
hey! a fair review for the crz! my hpd supercharged crz was in an accident but i ressurected it and my sc system is frankensteined with parts from the jrsc kit, and some custom intake plumbing.. with a custom exhaust I can tell you that the car does in fact make impressive noises. to each their own on that, of course. best part of the sprintex is of course the whine, but the other SC setups push more power it seems like
i have a 2012 Honda crz, and i got it with an aftermarket exhaust on it and i tell you what you'd be surprised how nice it really does sound for a little car like this.
The CRZ is extremely underrated in the USA just because of the fact that it’s a hybrid. Go to Japan and you’ll see a ton. J’s Racing built an awesome one and they handle great.
The CRZ is a great car to modify! You can throw away the batteries, swap the K in it and you will get a great, lightweight highrevving classic Honda :)
It does have more modern technology then the 2011-2012 but for swapping out engines like for instance a K24A2 in the z,the 11-12 is better since you'll be able to keep ac amd cruise control working and everything else like the tach etc.. the newer Z is a different story though but yea I do like that the newer z has a push button start, lane camera and the seats are much nicer in black.
I had a 2005 Honda Civic Hybrid with a stick-shift. Amazing car, super fun to drive, got 45 mpg on the highway, and lasted until 280,000 miles until the transmission blew up. I miss that car a lot. It was a disgusting shade of avocado green, and so me and my friends called it the "Guacmobile". Despite this the interior was actually really nice. I even got vanity plates that read GUACMBL. It went to a different state after I sold it, so it doesn't wear that plate anymore.
Honda held back on a number things with the CR-Z imho, all of which can be remedied with some aftermarket parts. An aftermarket suspension really helps the most at addressing the Insight-like handling. A good aftermarket wing solves the floaty feeling, and gives the CR-Z a solid feel during hard cornering, with very neutral drift at speed. I’m really considering this supercharger upgrade for mine. I wish Honda had offered these three major improvements as a performance package at the dealership, this car is a really fun daily driver for my 2 hr round trip commute. Still makes me smile each time I hit the road, I feel that Honda just missed the mark by a little on the stock setup.
I was so so close to buying a CRZ in 2014, the only thing that changed my mind was the lack of the backseat. If it wasn't for that I would be driving a CRZ today instead of my Accord
This car car had so much potential, had Honda made a Si version or something with a K20 or K24 like everyone wanted it probably would have been as popular as the civic Si of the time and would probably still be in production. There's a supercharged Mugen version but I don't think those were ever really sold to the public
I test drove this car when it first came out. I had high hopes despite the hybrid system. It actually felt the same as a base acura rsx so i thought that eventually the will have release a type R or Si version with more power in the near future... We are still waiting Honda Soichiro must be very disappointed
Honda were ahead of their time with the CRZ, they tried to give the public something that the public wasn't ready for. Nor did they market it right. It doesn't do hybrid mileage, and it doesn't do hot hatch performance - but it wasn't designed to do those things. The idea of a hybrid CRX created a false expectation in people's mind. If they came out with this today, with the latest tech for a little more power and a little more economy, it'd take off. People are more environmentally conscious than they were even ten years ago, and gas prices have only one way to go... Also, I don't know about American traffic, but in Europe, all the horsepower in the world won't do you a bit of good sitting behind a diesel powered Fiat at the lights 🤷🏻♂️ People should stop playing top trumps and start thinking about what's actually going to be best suited to their daily driving needs.
LOVE the S2000! Nice looking and It's SO light I can push it by myself and I'm only 5'2. It's crazy fun, redlining @9000 RPM or more - it's the Teeeniest bit of the tach, it almost seems like its not there with other car's having it wrap a quarter to a third of the way around the gauge... But MAN the cockpit of that thing is like it is practically wrapped around you sitting in the drivers seat. You almost become one with the car...
Obviously my car isn't a Lamborghini or anything & has nothing on your Stang or 240 but I would love it if you ever were in the PA area and reviewed my stage 2 2016 GLI. Have yet to see anyone review a gen 3 TSI GLI (atleast a big channel like yours). It is actually a pretty quick car for a sedan that passes also as a family daily. Love the channel as always bro!
Lol can't tell if you are being sarcastic or not but I raced plenty of hawkeye sti's / even newer subaru's in my area for that matter and thrashed them. If you aren't being sarcastic I apologize. But even the s3 audi IS38 turbo is a direct bolt on for the newer MK6 GLI's so no luck really needed. Guy out in florida is putting down 500 horsepower with meth on stock internals. I can give you his instagram page.
I bought a used 2010 gti one owner detailed history on the car from a jaguar dealer in cinci. The car had 60kish miles. I had the car for 5 days before the timing chain tensioner failed and the engine ate itself. Dealer took the car back and I got my money back. Went and bought a one owner 05 wrx after that and haven’t looked back since. I’m not hating at all and I’m not saying my cars a race car. All I’m doing is saying good luck with your German car. I myself will never buy German again after that stressful nightmare hahaha.
Yeah truth be told +Waltzin you have a better chance going higher horsepower on stock internals for your TSI vs most Subaru platforms. Most people build there engines up once they get close to 350 (unless you are a very brave sole lmao). Love your videos dude !
I own a crz and figured out that if you have the a/c on full blast or the heater on full blast then the auto idle stop function doesn't shut the car off in neutral or at a stop 😉
Loved this video and your personality. Was this the Honda CR-Z HPD factory package? I wasn't looking to consider this for my next car, but you made this car look like a lot of fun. I've owned 2 4th gen BB4 Preludes and really miss it. This feels very much like a successor to it as well- not just the CRX
Well, I'm a proud owner of 2012 CRZ myself. I bought it about a two months ago, and oh boy, I'm in love with that thing. Great mileage, sporty feel.. I agree with all you said in the video, it's amazing mix from both of the worlds - petrol & electric, and all of that without being boring. The only thing I do not like about it is the engine on kind of weaker side, it could definitely benefit from having more power than the stock engine has. But with a supercharger or engine swap it's perfect long haul sleeper - something like Ferrari FF on a budget.
I love this when I heard they we're going to do this till I saw the #'s and slow it really was. Maybe if the motor could handle a decent boost from a turbo I'd buy one. Electric motors = instant torque!
Have to respect Honda for giving us a manual option with the CR-Z. Nobody offered a manual hybrid but them.

quick question does the Econ, Comfort and Sport mode have any effect on the supercharger. like in Econ mode the supercharger produces less power like 140 BPH and in Sports mode it makes about 190 BPH.
@@sel508 As far as I know, the econ mode shouldnt change much when supercharged.
@@nvl2691 oh so those modes on the car become useless once it has a supercharger😂
@@sel508 I mean, they might still have an effect on throttle response, steering feedback etc but power-wise, no difference.
you could get a manual transmission in a first gen honda insight :)
and the 1st gen civic hybrid too.
First manual hybrid 6 speed though :)
YES
1st gen insight was manual only afaik
They came in auto.

I feel Honda focused solely on reincarnating the CRX HF with the CRZ.
Exactly. No attempt at resurrecting the Si and minimal sport choices like the expensive HPD parts.
Love your videos and channel!!!
I always love when you drive the different cars that are underrated like this.
I actually like the sound of that one! Looks like a blast to drive while being a good daily driver.

I love how you still review all types of cars from expensive to non expensive
If you think this is cool then next time your out in AZ the boys at Hasport have a supercharged k24 crz you could probably review. Makes like 365hp.
ChrisSadowski I'm in Az whAt part of Az you in bud far west valley here
I always liked the idea of a K or B series CRZ, but what I'd love to see is one which still utilizes the hybrid
brandon wright I’m in the east valley. I work at Hasport out in Tempe though.
Iesa Rahman that would be pretty cool, have the power and fuel economy
ChrisSadowski Exactly, but I reckon that it'd be pretty expensive and that goes against the ethos of the CRX/ CRZ
This makes me want to supercharge my Fit... but I feel the engine will die twice as fast.
So 300k miles instead of 600k?
@@lewisdavis1491 You make an excellent argument...
@@LazerLord10 same! I’m still on the lookout for a sprintex supercharger for mine. 180hp in a fit would be a blast to drive
I mean its cute....
CRZ Si should come out with a 1.8t manual. Thatd be sick.
fefnirscards crz isn't sold anymore. Honda stopped selling them in 2016
St33zy Steve Im aware.
St33zy did they all just blink out of existence when honda stopped selling them then?
Simon T you have very shitty reading comprehension. As I stated Honda stopped selling them in 2016...
great job, you edited your post and then pretend to have not made the mistake in the first place. You said "CRZ's don't exist anymore". So now instead of having a laugh about it I just think you're a little bitch.
Going on about the gages all video, doesn’t show them
Yeah pretty disappointed too
honestly though i drive one and the gauges are the best part of the car
bro just google it
Great review!
Could care less about back seats however.
i've been considering a CRZ as a first car, im just going through reviews. thank you for your input
My first car too
I love the “sleeper” car reviews you do David. I always learn so much
Nice to see a CRZ, especially on your channel! Nice video man 👍
Iesa Rahman Your profile picture isn't really worth showing off.
Jeff Jones I know 😛
These 1.5 Hybrid Honda's are great, used to have a Fit RS Hybrid Manual, seriously regret selling that little beast
i really have to say i have never been more intrigued by a car review
I'll be honest: it sounds like a supercharged mini Cooper. Not necessarily bad.
So glad you did this review there are not many for this setup please look at a newer model with the same setup that has the electric "boost" button
The CR-X and RX7 also had back seats in other markets.
Other markets must have lower standards for rear headroom and legroom.
Hello, I want to order the supercharger, what is the Brand? Thanks for the great review. what is the Brand?
2:50 I thought he was lowering and raising the windows with no hands lol. fking power lines man
Yo can swap a k series and make your own “ si cr-z “
Swaps can be done, but it really should have been a factory option is what I got at.
Hey man just letting you know you spelled excited wrong. Good point tho.
The Dutch Texan honestly man they would’ve sold more I’d think
I was going to buy one till i found out what it was about. The shape, dash and manual option were really appealing then it was a let down.
With the Crx they only offered back seats in the euro and jdm markets as well
I love this thing! small, hybrid, supercharged, i need those 2 back seats though!
yeah they have backseats in the European market, but i've heard they're VERY cramped. even worse than the FR-S.
The fact that this car is a two-seat only is one of its greatest assets. If you need a car to haul more than you and your girlfriend, buy a minivan.
samson3000 lmfao , i always tell the bro’s they have to debate with my girl on who I’m picking up 😂😂😂
I autocross mine and it does pretty good with a few suspension mods
There's a handful of people who have K-swapped the CR-Z and it's amazing it ends up being the car most of us were hoping for when we heard of a CR-X successor.
Maybe use a supercharger like this on the Integra later in it's life? I love that supercharger whine lol
Zion the Lion no. ITBs. No rice induction. No.
VQ35likeDhalsim I just realized. They was autocorrect. I meant to say force but it changed it to rice lmao 😂😂😂naw but ITBs for the win.
Leslie H. That's why I said later in it's life, I'm talking like a couple years from now lol but NA is always good too.
50 hp?
I had a 1st gen CRX base model, it had 90 hp.
The US version with the CVCC head had a bit less power but not 50.
Talks about how cool gauges are, yet he doesn’t show them haha
The underrated sports car that needs more boost. When I first saw this video, I was like "wait a second.. Supercharged?" Looks like cool things are possible if they're done right.
What's the day to day gas mileage when you have the turbo on it? I like to play around driving so I'm curious if that gas mileage would drop by having the added HP therefore making it more fun lol. Very curious.
I had Hondas with sporty mode. When you drive sport your gas is totally different
Thanks for not bombing us with commercials I enjoy your videos.
First gen Honda Insight had a manual and also turned off when at a stop. I had one and it was fun. Thinking of getting this now.
I love my CR-Z!!! The fact that it's a hybrid only helps the situation.
More Torque bud 👌
Finally haha. I have a 2015 Honda CRZ and I love it. Sometimes the seating is a problem obviously but other than that it's an awesome car
The CRZ is extremely underrated in the USA just because of the fact that it’s a hybrid. Go to Japan and you’ll see a ton. J’s Racing built an awesome one and they handle great.
You know Saturday is gunna be a good day when David posts a video 👍
It will so nice when you talk about trunk cover,no back sits, the mods that change on the clouster, etc. to show them to us
The first gen Honda Insight was a hybrid and a manual. Also here in Europe we have the Suzuki Ignis which you can get as a hybrid and with a manual.
The intro music though!!
I’m driving my GFs CRZ at the moment because my Accord got hit. Great fun to drive and looks good parked next to old my CRX vtec
The CRZ is a great car to modify! You can throw away the batteries, swap the K in it and you will get a great, lightweight highrevving classic Honda :)
As a Z owner. My biggest recommendation is to buy a 2013 -2016. My 2011 is great but the better IMA and handsfree/nav upgrades on 2013+ is worth it.
If the damn thing came as a K24 rwd or awd.....would be killer
Colin Barrineau fwd is much faster if done right. Just look at civic type r, fastest hatchback. Competition includes awd and rwd
@@TheAsdfrid no it isnt, out of all the combos that wheels can be driven front wheel drive is the worst behind awd and rwd.
I also do a 2 1/2 hour commute and I love this car CR-Z 2014 EX With a wolfer in the back
I was so so close to buying a CRZ in 2014, the only thing that changed my mind was the lack of the backseat.
Honda was thinking about the people who wanted to buy the car, not those that might buy the car.
true, but if Honda had broadened the appeal just a little bit, maybe those who might have bought would have actually bought
I test drove this car when it first came out. I had high hopes despite the hybrid system. It actually felt the same as a base acura rsx so i thought that eventually the will have release a type R or Si version with more power in the near future...
We are still waiting Honda
Soichiro must be very disappointed
The first gen Insight came with a 5-speed manual. It’s not the only hybrid stick shift.
The Honda insight had a manual option but the crz is the first 6 speed manual in a production hybrid
And first sporty hybrid with manual ;)

Ugh. That sound reminds me of my old R53 Mini Cooper S. I miss that car so much. It was so fun. Good review.
Also, I don't know about American traffic, but in Europe, all the horsepower in the world won't do you a bit of good sitting behind a diesel powered Fiat at the lights 🤷🏻♂️
People should stop playing top trumps and start thinking about what's actually going to be best suited to their daily driving needs.
I have been waiting for this, for a very long time
Wrong they weren't trying to make a new crx, it's a sport insight
the first gen civic hybrid and first gen insight were both hybrids with stick shifts too. fwiw.
This video showed up after I just finished watching RCR! Yeah, why not watch it!
In my opinion this is the best looking car Honda has ever made, apart from the nsx and s2000.
Good luck with that tsi......
Wasn’t saying that at all lol i just had a nightmare experience with a tsi engine and wished him luck lol
I own a crz and figured out that if you have the a/c on full blast or the heater on full blast then the auto idle stop function doesn't shut the car off in neutral or at a stop 😉
You only need to turn on demister to disable idle stop
LOVE this guy. Super positive and honest review. Thanks 😊😊
You're beautiful
I just saw you at the Clemson autocross event. Was too scared to say hi but it was cool to see you there man
Loved this video and your personality.
I have a 2014 CR- Z I love it It’s an automatic, but the paddle shifters are nice
I had a bagged CR-Z that was totaled. Needed to come with a K20 or 1.5T. Even that SC isn't really enough
