Hi Douglas, It came out much earlier this year, I think around March / April. It’s not exactly an update, when Autodesk comes up with a new version, it’s a standalone software which you’ll need to download & install. At some point I had ACAD 2019, 2020, 2021 at the same time ... would love if they make it an update instead of a full fledged software each time. Are you paying on a subscription-basis?
New to Autodesk AutoCAD LT 2021 - UNREGISTERED VERSION. Your video shows something very similar to my view. However, I don't have the tabs across the top - the "Home" "Insert" "Annotate" "View" "Manage" "Output" and so on. Is there a way to turn that feature on??? It's hard to follow and duplicate your lessons without being able to access the same points you are accessing. Mine is a trial version, perhaps that's why. But until I know that for sure - it's difficult to learn.
Hi Pete, Type Ribbon and click “Enter” button. That should make Home / Insert / Annotate tabs appear. If you are using a Mac version, it doesn’t have tabs on the too but rather menus I hope this helps!
@@petec6690 Hi Pete, Yes, the Mac version interface looks very different from the windows version. Here's a tutorial I did on Autocad 2021 For Mac - The interface: ua-cam.com/video/38skxdSm5m8/v-deo.html I hope this helps!
@@JayCad It's a nice video but it doesn't address the issues I'm having. Just to zero in on one - Layers. In older versions you can draw a line on one layer and draw a shape on a different layer. You can turn both layers on or just one, or the other. I can't do that. My layers breakout window does not have the toggle switches to turn layers on or off. Even in the layout manager, I'm not finding any features that will allow me to do that. The best I got out of your video was the layout tabs at the bottom. I think I can make a drawing and have it represented on layer 1. Then make changes, add, delete, detail the drawing - whatever and make a layer 2. I don't yet know if that's the answer to my issue or not. I'll give that a whack. But thanks for the effort. It's appreciated.
@@petec6690 I see what you are saying. in Autocad for Mac, the toggle switch to turn layers on or off, is on the left side of the layer name. The Layer Manager should be open on the right side of your interface. From there, to the left of your layer name, click on the circle to turn off that layer, and click it back to turn it on. To turn a layer on / off in a layout - you will need to use a different toggle called "VP Freeze" which will freeze (turn off) a certain layer on a certain layout. I hope this helps!
Hi Hafiz Sorry for the delayed response but this video is made for the LT (light) version of Autocad which doesn’t have 3D worksheet or the extrude command. Best regards
Hi Corneliu! It depends on what you are trying to number. As far as I know, Autocad LT does not have an auto-numbering function - unless you connect your blocks to a data file which I am not familiar with. You can control the sheet numbers for example using the Sheet Set Manager I hope this helps a little bit and anyway let me know what you are trying to do 👍🏽
I’m on version 2020 (registered) when did 2021 come out? I looked for an update but don’t see one in my account??????
