The guideline trick to draw the correct proportions in different angles was so simple and yet so mind blowing , I was trying to change everything according to the angles but if you think about it your face features don't actually change when you turn your head , it's not like your ear will end up in a different place when you look to your right . Studying art is so much fun even when I'm not even close to drawing anything amazing , you kinda learn to look at the world in a different way. Great video !
You probably learned this, but just in case, when you look up, ears go below eye level, if you look down ears will go above eye level

hi hi im back and here's an update with my art! I actually had so many improvement in my drawings and I also learned how to draw anatomy with the help of his other videos, although I can't say that I'm an expert at it since I'm still learning. I also use references from Pinterest for practice, and this video is one of those that helped me in my art journey. I have a recent drawing I'm really proud of and I will continue to practice to enhance my skills more. Goodluck to everyone!

@@DoctorDoom. ah sorry for the late reply, it's the same as usual. There are improvements but at the same time, it's difficult to avoid artblock. I'm still having difficulties at some point related to drawing like perspective, backgrounds and clothes; but I've improved in anatomy especially the hand and head movement. I just use references and tutorials, then study on my own if I have time by sketching.

This is really helpful, but can anyone answer why mines don’t come out or look anything like his drawings? I’m following the guideline step by step and taking my time but mines look like something outta of a horror movie. Any advice is appreciated

As someone who was struggling with drawing this one video helped me out so much. Years ago I wanted to pick up drawing and search up tutorials or guides but nothing helped me so I stopped. But after coming across your channel on a youtube short I saw, I wanted to draw again. I always struggle with consistency, so this helped a lot. The thing I really struggle with is drawing the hair from different perspectives. Would you say, in your opinion, that as long as the main sections of the hair are following the guidelines, it should be fine?

tysm man, i was getting the idea of guide lines with other videos but they start drawing the rest (beautiful eyes, mouth, etc) and then suddenly i can't follow. Now i definitely feel improving by using the general shapes instead of the final eyes and mouths 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
