The loading screen has implanted the model ship superiority into his brain
Egg isn't as resistant to being Psy-Op'd than what he thinks he is
I'm convinced the Model Ship is holding his entire family hostage. There's just no way at this point.
Model Ship and Clamera both have some dirt on him
The model ship is in the loading animation and therefore it is being subconsciously imbedded into his brain

model ship was bad until it was shielding for 300 and slowing an item every second
He's so vanessa pilled about attacking fast and having other items proc from going fast that it's impossible for him to grasp more then half the build archtypes the pig has. That's the only reason he thinks the ship is good.

When the item has brought him to get beat up at a drug house for the seventh day in a row.
He didnt dance with succulent when it was healing 200 every 4 seconds for a model ship that give 50 shield. Hes lost his mind

@@brennanpetroff5668 50 shield more than every second though, because it goes off a ton. And shield is better than healing 99% of the time. Most fights the first heal did nothing because he was still at full health and the second heal he was dead already. Slow healing kinda sucks, it makes you super timing dependant. Model ship is arguably one of the best items, because it can trigger 2x per second relatively easily.
When model ship came up, it was like when you're walking a dog and you can tell it's just seen something on the ground it's definitely not supposed to eat and, as a result, you're about to be in for the fight of your life

brutal loss at the end, but the kid really brought this run back from the brink of defeat
Probably literally the only build that countered him. Fast frost pots. Tbh if it had hit the crook and ship he might have even made it.
@@RalorPenwat He sold a diamond tier battery that would have enabled Soul of the District going off and won him that round. NL seeing Model Ship in a run dooms the run instantly. How he never replaced it is beyond me; the ONLY thing he loses to is perma Freeze so you just have to get Soul to trigger 1 time as fast as humanly possible. Model Ship has no role at that point but he can't let it go.
@@Prodigial6 I mean the slow was meaningful enough in the other fights that I can't blame him for not catching how much better the charge for the battery would be in comparison.
@@Prodigial6 i was skipping through the video some, but i saw the diamond battery thought it was going to be amazing for him. Pushed forward to the moment before his last fight, NL opened his inventory and battery wasn't there... I couldn't believe it was gone.

he was all in on crook to enable the atlatl which enabled everything else, there really wasn't anything replaceable in the build at the time
There wouldn't have been a good thing to pull out. Would have needed to pull out ship which was his only sustain, though it probably would have won him the last fight

@@grimmparagon427 it wasn't. Take it out and nothing changes, 100-200 shield per second on day 10 is nothing and he could have gotten better skills if he a) could read, b) didn't take shield scaling

Should have put lifesteal on the Atlatl rather than making number go up on the Soul. Soul gets to fire at all and it was already guaranteed lethal, the bigger number there did nothing, but Atlatl lifesteal might have kept you alive long enough for Soul to fire.
Maybe, but he’d have had to overwrite the “can’t be slowed, frozen, destroyed” that was already on it. And it was District being frozen that ended up losing him the run. I don’t think the lifesteal would have kept him alive against that last build, but maybe
You're not wrong, but an opportunity to get 10 wins is much more common than an opportunity to see a 77k crit.

I spent a ticket to ride the ranked train. I was floored by that corrosive poison. It got me all kinds of toxic and I thought about NL saying that playing the first ranked game starts to timer to abandoning the game.

Going for a small item sell build and skipping an early lemonade stand is painful for a type A guy like me
why get 10 permanent health per sell when you can sacrifice board space to get 160 shield per fight off the triggers of the slowest items of all time?

For anyone wondering, the correct play there day 1 is to buy regal blade and hope to get an upgrade to silver option. Atlatl is pointless without crook or passives that put it in the neighborhood of 190 damage. You can tell in the fight at 13:45 that it’s really not worth it to try and scale the atlatl during combat if it’s not close to 190 damage yet. The only exception is if you have a pyg’s gym with an insanely high value. Another reason to not buy atlatl early is that it prevents it from being offered in its upgraded forms.
Day 3 lemonade stand is arguably also quite good although I can def see foregoing it in favor of finding a better scaler than dog.
Genuinely don’t understand the devs… they take out pufferfish, but still allow monitor lizard - an even more broken version of it - in the game.

If you run succulents early maybe look for haste or charge options to maximize on its scaling? Also just lean all the way into healing/shields, you want your matches to run long, as long as possible ideally so running scaling damage options runs against the logic of succulents seems counterproductive, if you invest resources into a dog that 2 taps opponents you're kneecapping succulents, there are other healing/shielding options that would "fit" better with scaling dog damage. Love you NL, your content is fantastic.

PvE in this game is akin to farming in LoL, so picking the experiment over the duelist to ensure a win was a great idea!; As that xp is super important
