Wow!!! The first song on the album /////Really really nice......Like it!!! Like the choir like sounds in the background of the second song...guitar playing is really good...and the drummer and bass is killing it!!!

I quite like this! It's certainly outside my normal listening bubble, but it's very good. It reminds me somewhat of Six Degrees era Dream Theater, but easier to digest. Onward to side 2!

I know Dilemma from the October sampler CD of eclipsed music magazine. As I'm writing down notes to find songs again after a while without having to listen to the whole sampler, as not all good names get stuck right away, I commented them "pretty good prog" ... so it deserves more attention ... so let's listen today, tomorrow ...
You got my full attention, when you read the names of the band members: "Wudstik", the singer is part of the AYREON Universe. He had one of 3 major roles in
AYREON's Theater Equation, when back in 2013 Ayreon brought his "Human Equation" on stage in Rotterdam. Wudstik took over Arjen's role in the concept story, being the
"best friend" ... others singers where James LaBrie, Marcela Bovio, Anneke Van Giersbergen, Irene Jansen, Heather Findlay and others.
Christopher Gildenlöw is the brother of Daniel Gildenlöw and former member of Pain of salvation ... the album also has a solo by Marc Lettieri, member of Snarky Puppy...
... and Christopher Gildenlöw will open with his band for Von Hertzen Brothers on March 14th in Helmond/NL
So part 1 was already good, let's see if it's getting better ... 🤘

This got a lot of love this year from many prog channels and critics! I listened to it a few times and really enjoyed it, but honestly did not have any staying power for me. There was a lot of better albums this In my humble opinion! Thanks for this Jim! On to side two!

I am liking this, we will see where they land in this crowded space for me though. So many really good bands that do the slightly heavy, but generally clean vocals (harmonizing a bit too!) that all sit together and very few really break out for me personally. Frost*, Pure Reason Revolution, Meer, Kingcrow, and for sure others I have checked out and forgotten about.

Good middle-ground prog that entertains without tearing down any walls or blazing new trails. All very competent and tasteful - the sort of thing I might make if I had several ounces of talent...but I do wish that there had been more throat singing, or backwards cello, or a discordant synth passage or nonsensical spoken word samples - something to just lift it out of the OK bracket.

    Hi Jim,
Their name doesn’t ring a bell but I didn’t know about your channel five years ago.
If you want to know how a dutch name has to be pronounced, just send me a message and I’ll send you an audio message how it should sound. I can do that for German too but Rudi is of course the one for German speaking.
Very nice start of the album. I like the first song. Nice transition into the softer part of the song.
2nd song. Less energetic song at the start but that changes further up. Good song. The Hu at the end😇.
Until now,I like it very much.
As with all progressive rock bands, they can sound like other progrock bands in certain parts; they all fish in the same pond (genre).

I didn't mind it and feel interested enough to listen to the remaining songs. After the concept description I was hoping to hear some real emotion in the vocals but I wasn't getting that.

Hey Jim. Just found your YT channel. Loved your reaction to Canadian space prog band Klaatu you loved. Wanted to know if you have ever checked out another Canadian prog rock band Max Webster. They are so underrated outside of Canada. Toured with Rush often. Here is a link to another YT reviewer talking about their music and top albums without hearing the music to gove you a preview. They were amazing live. Their live album is top 5 ever for me.ua-cam.com/video/9C_9CMEd1q0/v-deo.htmlsi=V7cifspgyumtegk8
