Merle Haggard audio book got me here(great by the way) and This show is AWESOME!. Kind of an odd couple meets route 66. Buddy road trip with 70's trucker culture to top it off. The old guy towney at the gas station clearly not an actor just a local who got in the show. I love it when they do that. Funny he got a line and Richie Cunningham's brother didn't. So far it has all been in Oregon and Washington at some cool locations
Was funny seeing Clint Howard in this episode as Mark since that was the same character name he played in Gentle Ben a few years earlier. Will have to talk to him about that role.
@@MaclearieFarms Oh, that's fine. Truthfully he's most likely autistic (seems like a very high percentage of most boys today are!!) which has a lot of crossover commonalities with being re---ded, but is different, and the word hasn't been weaponized as a put down term. Something perhaps "Doctor" Jill Biden might know plenty about with her husband and son.
Poor acting, not realistic. No trucker on a paid scheduled run just drops everything for a few days to boy scout a local issue. That's pure Hollywood. But, this episode does show a few sides of the best and the worst. Eastern Oregon has to offer. Several scenes were shot on location. Either east wash, or Oregon. In most any year. Some of the best, and worst people you are ever likely to meet. The bad are simply a result of the lack of education system and the overturning of the fairness doctrine, then. Citizens united. As a result they are fed a whole lot of negatives. For better or worse. From 1974 to 2024. Not much has changed in this area of America.
Cannot believe this awesome show was almost 50 years ago
70s were so great
Men like soney and will define what trucking is

Haha, ya it’s a great show. Could you imagine Edgar and Felix as truckers lol, that truck would be spotless!

You know him in real life?
@@sonnypruitttrucking I have him on my Facebook friends list.
@@Beatle4 wow that’s cool! I assume it’s the real one ? Taylor Swift was chatting with me awhile back lol, wasn’t really her though :(
Nice episode
This was filmed in shaniko, mosier, and the dalles Oregon. Also right across river in Lyle Washington
Up load more please
That cab was awfully close quarters for two men for weeks at a time.
The train on the other side is Washington state. I-84 is down below. Perhaps filmed near Hood River.
Thanks! It’s always cool to get an idea where they are and maybe I can find the locations in American Truck Simulator :)
Perhaps closer to Briggs, Oregon. The steel bridge at the end looks like the area.
This is shaniko, The dalles and Lyle area
Lois Nettleton! 😘😘👌👌
16:41 poor innocent kid was climbing around my truck lady
Lois Nettleton was a babe. Shepherd must of been looney to have left her...
That was such a good episode
She was good, as an evil bank manager chick, in Barnaby Jones-
"Death On Deposit".
17:26 oooooh she said the bad word 😂😂😂
It really shouldn't be a "bad" word when it's being used in the context of a medical condition, such as it is here, not meant to be cruel or mean.
@@bobpierce115 I know I’m just laughing
