Dr Hall has written countless books while being a Professor Of Classics and broadcaster, including Aristotle's Way and Introducing The Ancient Greeks. I am red-faced in embarrassment that I am not familiar with Dr. Hall’s work! (I live & went to college in the American South. Yeah…). But I found this interview fascinating. Wonderful interview - your guest is brilliant, and you are a fine interviewer, and pretty brilliant yourself. I thought a lot of deep, profound things were said, by both of you, but I have to be honest. One of Professor Hall's at least implicit messages is that suicides lack courage, and this I find deeply naive, and deeply offensive. No one has more of a right to anything than their own life. There are 1000 more things I could say, but I'll just leave it there, so as not to babble on.
