@@laurentgagne892 This is a safety restrictor. If you are in forward gear and the throttle handle is turned to the left and you try to start the engine, this red restrictor will prevent the recoil starter from engaging. If it is not present and the engine starts while in forward gear, there is a risk of falling out of the boat. In older models, this restrictor is located in a different place.
