- A quick video to show you how to change the clutch fluid on the trike. The fluid used is Dot 4 Brake Fluid. It is clear in color when new so when you open up the reservoir to check, it will probably have more of a yellow tint when there is moisture in the fluid. Brake fluid does attract moisture and eventually will break down, it is recommend that you change it every 2 years. I just got this bike and my fluid was black. I was also not able to get a moisture content reading with my fluid tester. I've never seen the fluid in the clutch or brakes black so I'm assuming this fluid has not been changed for a long time. Another note, the bleeder valve on the clutch is really small. I used a 1/4" tube that came with my bleeder instead of the normal bleeder boot. You can use any type of bleeder you want, just remember if you are doing this alone to not bleed all the fluid our of the reservoir.

What windshield you got?
It's stock, I don't like it, too much wind buffeting on the highway. Going to change it.
How much vacuum pressure do you use for this? Is it the same when you changed brake fluid?
Yes, I'm just using the Mityvac MV8000
That's the easy fluid change. What about those poor souls that have to loosen exhaust. How is that done? Can't believe HD did that.
You got that right. I changed out the stock exhaust and now I have to do that.
FYI: That is not the clutch. The clutch is on the left side of the bike. That is the clutch release.
