- Hi, this 'how to' videos shows you how to record the conversation on your landline telephone using a £10 adaptor and a laptop whether you are using a corded or cordless phone.
Good info, well presented. The buzz is almost certainly a ground loop as the audio out is not isolated. You can buy inline audio isolation adapters on ebay etc. Not a cheap component, which is why they probably omitted it.
+ForestCat Interesting, thanks for the info. Yes, the inside of this device looks very basic so they must want to keep the cost down to appeal to more people and it is easier and cheaper for them to just say it can't be used on PCs.

7:30 min mark. In the US our landline boxes attatched to the wall use an RJ11 to RJ11. I dont know what yours is called , ours doesnt look like the one i see here at the 7:30 min mark. So would I be correct that this wont work for me here in the US?

Does it record as soon as the phone is taken off the hook or does it only record once a number is dialed and the call connects?

The filter is required on ADSL lines otherwise data and audio interfere with each other.

Is there a way I can output audio from the computer to the telephone at the same time as the computer is receiving audio from the telephone to record it?
Yes enable monitoring of the line in on the computer's audio settings. There should be tutorials on how to enable monitoring on line in
@@thetechdudemc So after monitoring is enabled on the audio jack, I will be able to send audio from the computer through the phone? Like, for example, if I wanted to play a sound effect over the phone and I don't want it to be captured by a mic first(but instead the sound goes directly to the person on the other end of the line).
@@BrennerEraFan Sorry, I misread your question. I thought you meant output audio from the telephone line through the computer's speakers. In this case you would need to hook up the audio output line out jack of the computer to the phone line. I am not sure if the adapter he shows can do that

I don't want to buy an expensive adapter, like the ones shown in the video called How to connect landline to an audio mixer...or the title might be something similar to that. Do you know where I can get the recording adapter(the one shown in the video) from? I am in the United States, so maybe I will have to get it from a different company?
The plug that went into the wall, does not look like it would work in the US :(

That's a wonderful device. But not helpful for me. I'm looking for a device so I can record my wife and my mother in law gossips secretly. They talk over phone 24 hours. I really want to know what they are gossiping all about everyday. Would you mind recommend me any particular device for that. I'm damm serious 😆 🤣
