Thank you so much for your video - you saved us money on a new cordless phone!!! I had an issue of not hearing the other party on my Philips cordless phone and I tried to look for solutions online and found your video! I didnt know there was an option to Unregister.. and after I re-registered, everything is good now! You saved our phone from the rubbish bin too - bless you!
I had a similar issue with a Siemens Gigaset DECT handset. I tried to re-register, power off the base station but still had a one way audio issue. I realised that the handfree mode uses a different speaker so got it to work this way :-)
Please can you come and live with me!! Lol I have 1001 techy problems, inc my DECT phones, which have all been faulty for 3 months!!! Got BT out, reset phones, put brand new batteries in, and rest them again! Still no luck! Really expensive Gigaset phones too!
I have a similar motorola phone and the flash (talk) and back buttons became really unresponsive. I would have to press the flash button very hard for it to work. So I dismantled the phone. take out battery, two screws under the battery compartment and then pry the phone apart on the bottom and the bottom plastic with speaker attached will break away. Then two screws at the top of the circuit board the then phone comes apart and the keypad buttons are all connected in one large rugged rubber piece. On the circuit board are contacts for the keyboard. My contacts had some kind of oil or lubricant, mostly on the flash and back buttons, Not at all on the numbers. I don't know where it came from, I can't see anything leaking and I don't think is was put there on purpose. So I used a little detergent and cleaned the circuit board the the back of the keypad. Then wiped off with a water soaked tissue. Then let dry. Reassembled and it works fine.
I have 4 set cordless GE phone including base model 21905FE4A but when go to answer two of the headsets the phone headset immediately dies. But I can get all four units to ring when calling from a mobile unit. What could be happening? Robert S
I'm having this problem too. It's happened to 2 of my phones as well. I wonder what could be the issue? If we've both got the same problem it sounds like it might be a common fault.
What if the landline doesnt even turn on? Even after letting it sit on the base for a long time to charge. I've left it for over a day and it still won't turn on
