This was a really good video and thank you so much for the in depth breakdown. My brother moved to Miami back in 2010 and has never left. I visited for the 1st time last year and spent a few weeks there and I can say for sure that Floridians have a strong attitude and I think it comes from being around New Yorkers and upper East Coast people who have migrated to Florida the past 80 or so years. I feel that Floridians have taken on the horrible attitude that New Yorkers have. The service is trash and it can feel racist when dealing with some of these people in those establishments. I do speak a little bit of Spanish and I am married to a Puerto Rican & Colombian woman she too said that the people have horrible attitudes. I grew up in Southern California where Spanish is prevalent and you will experience the same thing so I get it when you have the majority and others have ruined the experience by doing certain things that left a stigma. The Drivers, my goodness the worst I have ever seen in my life, good lord you will need the best car insurance you will ever need. The Drivers drive like it is Daytona 500 or Fast & Furious its INSANE! You will lose your cool because people cut you off at high speeds, smash on the breaks suddenly, bust U turns in the middle of the road, cut traffic off and swerve across 3 lanes to make a last second exit. I tell you it is Insane. I will say this though, you have good and bad everywhere, and I think the good outweighs the bad in florida. It is a Paradise like no other compared to the rest of the USA. Miami reminds me a lot of Los Angeles infrastructure wise and the grid. But Miami is 10x Better than Los Angeles to me because of the way they built around the Beaches, rivers, bays, sandbars, canals, channels etc... You feel like you are in another country. You will have to adjust and thats all, get in where you fit in.
I'm a native born Floridian. My whole family are Floridians, who descended from the Native Seminoles and mixed with black American slaves. We didn't get an attitude from being around New Yorkers. Floridians don't like New Yorkers, or any outsiders. We've watrched immigrants flood our state (thanks to the government) and people from other states come here and gentrify our communities and neighborhoods. Prices are high and native born Floridians are having a hard time paying, what was normal rent to us, now price gouging. We cannot be the only state with sunshine? the sun shines everywhere....we are tired of people moving here and diluting the native Floridian population. Miami was a city of white and black Americans predominately, before the cubans started flooding in in the 1970s and 1980s (mariel boatlift) and now you cannot recognize the city. It's majority hispanic immigrants! The same thing is now happening all over our state, except instead of just immigrants...it's people from other states. Why can't you people just stay where you were born??
@@IllUMINATED33 Thanks for your take on Florida! My family blood line is Cherokee & Black Feet Nation going back to the 1700's. I love Seminole history, but as far as moving and migration goes that is just life and we have to adapt, nothing will ever stay the same anywhere on the planet. Before the Europeans, French, Portuguese & Spaniards showed up the entire Americas was different. I just think that in life people will move to better places and we just have to always be prepared and be ready to adapt or migrate.
I was born in Miami and live in Midtown now and grew up in Miami n Broward and yes you’re 1000% accurate. From the weather to the hispanics to the traffic and even the bugs lol. Been in Miami for 3/4 months now. And the only thing that fucked me up was my job that I was offered down here got delayed. Have a steady income. Move down here with people you know and know people in Miami that’ll make your leisure life easier. Everything else is on you. I feel like anywhere is what you make it
Great video. Thank you for telling the truth about Miami. Although I am a northern white, I felt like an outsider in Miami. People were not friendly and some had bad attitudes. There is some prejudice against Northerners in the South.
In regards to driving, Miami has the worst paved roads in the State. Tons of manhole inundations, pot holes, debris and all sorts of suspension hurting occurrences.
The most accurate, realistic video and honest opinion. isn't South Florida more oriented towards wealthy? Rent prices are high and real estate prices are in top of the most expensive. Not sure how Texas dealing with Californians and New Yorkers, but Californians and New Yorkers in Florida could be the reason why prices are bitting because city is overcrowded and competitiveness
African American born in Miami raised in ATL...been living in Miami for almost 4 years...this is the most miserable I've ever been in my life....I'm working extremely hard to move ASAP ...Houston is my mission!!!
lol houston is no better than Miami in fact its worse because the crime is high, rent is high and so many people moved here the job market is saturated i havent gotten a decent job interview in houston in 2 years i had to go remote OUT OF STATE at least in miami you have a nice beach to go too
Yessi Brother if you want to meet Fine Columbian women’s that like African American men’s. You need to go to Columbia like Medellin, Bogota. Once they get to Miami you forget it. But know some Spanish
So moving from Waikiki, Hawaii to Miami is not that a big of a transition. We have the highest rents/housing costs in the nation, so paying $2500 for a studio is not a shocker. A lot of beautiful but fake, high-maintenance men and women here; food/restaurant costs almost the same (but we do have a lot of restaurants in between the high-end and cheap eats places; clothing is the same: you can find all the designer stuff here but there are also places like Ross, Marshall, and Target where prices are reasonable. One difference though is that the people here are very friendly, the aloha spirit is still alive (but rapidly fading). Our issues with traffic is that there is too much of it on the highway all day long...bumper-to-bumper and the lack of parking spaces, especially in town and Waikiki. If there's an accident or truck spill on the freeway, the entire freeway shuts down and you're stuck for hours until it's resolved. As far as the Latin thing goes, I love Spanish and Latin men (especially Puerto Ricans) so that's all good. We do have a ton geckos, chameleons , and big roaches--and the roaches will be in your house no matter how clean you are (I keep Raid and Combat on hand at all times) -- thank God no iguanas yet. So yeah, moving from Hawaii to Miami is not so big a change. Plus you guys get to travel anywhere in the lower 48 or the Caribbean without having to pay an arm and leg for plane flights like we do. But yeah, your weather there in Miami is no joke! Thanks for the heads up on moving there.❤
Nice video. You dress well. Also I lived in Miami for school at the art institutes but left because it was horrible. Miami is all about looks and clothing. I had no problems in that area but the Spanish rules that place. What happened to the professional blacks?
Erika, professional Black Americans are scattered here and there bust mostly outside of Dade County. The issue is language, whereas you can be a Black Latin American and integrate seamlessly. It's not about color, but more about language and culture.

What about areas around it I guess like FLL? My job is based out of MIA but I would live in another area around it and just commute longer if there was a place more calm and less expensive, if that exists lol. I'm not about the turn up life but I am so ready for a sunny and warm place coming from Seattle...i just don't know if I'm cut out for the business tho...i like my quiet mountain life but I would trade it in for a quiet beach life lol
I like the way you presented your points, very down-to-earth. I have been considering a job in Miami and came across a lot of divided opinion about the importance of Spanish. Would you say areas slightly north of Miami like Hollywood or Aventura are more English-speaking, and people have better attitudes ?
Possibly but then up there you have other languages like Russian... Learn some Spanish as soon as possible... And subscribe to .. I have some fire content coming next year
I live in Miami and for some reason been watching a ton of these videos from other creators. Yours has been the most truthful, as others don't touch up on the points you presented. Miami is more than just Downtown, Brickell, Midtown and the Beach. It's a very third world city outside of these tourist traps. Broward County is perfect for the non Latin and close enough to do what you need to do.

That is all facts!
Wow

I was born in Miami and live in Midtown now and grew up in Miami n Broward and yes you’re 1000% accurate. From the weather to the hispanics to the traffic and even the bugs lol.

Corrupted Latin government ruined it thr people need to fight back to maintain the city not those third world hellholes form Latin countries

isn't South Florida more oriented towards wealthy? Rent prices are high and real estate prices are in top of the most expensive. Not sure how Texas dealing with Californians and New Yorkers, but Californians and New Yorkers in Florida could be the reason why prices are bitting because city is overcrowded and competitiveness

Yessi Brother if you want to meet Fine Columbian women’s that like African American men’s. You need to go to Columbia like Medellin, Bogota. Once they get to Miami you forget it. But know some Spanish
I got you on that!
Thanks for the heads up on moving there.❤
Nice to know!!!
Nice video. You dress well. Also I lived in Miami for school at the art institutes but left because it was horrible. Miami is all about looks and clothing. I had no problems in that area but the Spanish rules that place. What happened to the professional blacks?
You are right Erika... I've met a nice community of professional black people
Erika, professional Black Americans are scattered here and there bust mostly outside of Dade County. The issue is language, whereas you can be a Black Latin American and integrate seamlessly. It's not about color, but more about language and culture.
Miami ain't for the faint of heart. Never has been even in back in the day decades I ago. But sure is beautiful! 🌴 Thanks for video bro 👍

Hi, James I messaged you through your instagram business chat.
I like the way you presented your points, very down-to-earth. I have been considering a job in Miami and came across a lot of divided opinion about the importance of Spanish. Would you say areas slightly north of Miami like Hollywood or Aventura are more English-speaking, and people have better attitudes ?
Thank you ! Appreciate it!
I'm going to check out coral springs
You can use Translators on your phone. However, if people are going to live here, they should learn some English. It is not that difficult.
I’m more thinking about Naples fl now
It's a super old places
@@jamesmackentertainment really ? Is it pretty chill with a nice beach
@@Thatsmyname1
Naples is becoming extremely overpriced.
Everything is about condos. Single family homes are $650k and above. Condos being priced $400k and up, the HOAs are out of control.
Our HOA last year said everyone had to pay $5000 "one time fee" to replace the roofs. But we pay hundreds every month already.
The HOAs piss away money every month, no one knows where it goes.
The hurricane destroyed a lot of stuff including the pier. Also the old people are very nosy and entitled.
Just visit Naples but don't live here.
@@Thatsmyname1
Most of the beaches in Naples are a slightly darkish seafoam blue green, it's not extremely clear like far out in Key West
@@BM_100 oh really! I had no idea. Thanks !
