Watching THIS wasn't painful enough? Now you want to watch a bunch of middle-aged men behaving like teenagers on stage? I think it's time for everyone to grow up.
When we were teens, we said, bsb, NSYNC and others are gay and for teenage girls. Now we are dudes over 30, we know the lyrics, it is our nostalgia, and we can finally admit, we loved them too.
That BSB kneel at 4:11 was a surprising and poignantly sweet sign of respect, then them grooving from 4:27 and hyping the crowd for NKOTB was endearing
Wow....I never noticed that dance point til i found this comment; I know the concept of boy bands is usually pretty boys singing happy danceable songs but I like there's some meaning behind 1 move rather than just BSB trying to catch their breath after their dance break
After years of boring award performances, we finally got something energetic and interesting. I miss the award shows from the 90s and 80s, artists used to put a lot of effort in them.
+TheMattd546 When Madonna was performing "Like A Virgin" on the MTV Video Music Awards in 1985, that wAs considered risque at the time. She was fully clothed, however, she was rolling around on the stage and doing provocative moves. That's nothing compared to today! But, it was about the music back then...now it is about how shocking someone can be. I don't even watch the awards shows anymore.
BSB is great. They have the greatest number of hits which I believe could not be topped by even the boy bands that came after them (they came when social media did not exist). Yes better reach than BTS. But we have to admit NKOTB created the mold that every other boy band followed. It's apparent with the pairing they used in Steps 1-5. We have the 2 unconventional manly men [Danny and Howie), the outspoken bad boys (Donnie and AJ), the heartthrob main vocals (Jordan and Brian), the cutest and youngest second leads (Joey and Nick) and the silent and tall leaders (Jonathan and Kevin). All the other boy bands unknowingly or knowingly used this formula.
Some of you gotta understand kotb has been around since the 80s then bsb around 92 or 95 and both boy bands are still around they have been on cruises they will always be around
I think BSB was founded in 93 but they started I guess in 95 or 96 if I recall it right....But BSB at least is still rocking that shit :D And I am really happy about that.

They should put more boybands together. It would be amazing. Imagine NSYNC reunites and does this kind of stuff with someone...they could do it with BSB as well hehe. Or 98Degrees and others who were popular at that time.
BSB was founded because of NKOTB and the success they had. Later NSYNC was founded as competitor for the BSB. They could easily all stand on the same stage

Say what you will, NKOTB laid the foundation for what would eventually define the 90's boy band era carried on by Backstreet and NSYNC. Those were really fun times the songs always had a slick groove, upbeat. These guys had 1 million swag points flowing out of their pores effortlessly. Unfortunately the record industry killed this genre and we now have 5 cheeky british lads who can't dance or play instruments, so they make rowboat gestures.
A bit of revisionist history here? NKOTB, BSB NSYNC etc were all also cheeky lads and featured in a lot of tabloid stories. If we are going to shit on 1D, then we should because of the quality of their music. Simon Cowell knows how to sell records, not make good music.

I have their NKOTBSB CD and shirt even though I never saw them perform in person or never even met them, both bands need a trophy for best colaboration on an awards show. So wonderful they planned to surprise each other on a theatre stage and then stuck up awesome friendships and found out they could blend their awesome harmonies together into one super boy band. Amazing!
I came across this when I was looking up the backstreet boys and woah! Mind is blown! I loved NKOTB too! I missed this performance but I'm glad I came across it! Unbelievable!🤘
I can remember checking the American Music Awards out and The Grammy Awards that same year and the buzz was unstopable I followed the updates and let my mom know I could not afford to miss them sing on T.V. together, my mind was blown away and I now love both boy bands. I still like *NSYNC but mostly for Justin Timberlake in his own successful way. They all keep in touch which is nice, now a days there is group chats on SKYPE or Facebook Messenger or just a phone call away for music advice on a song they wish to create or a movie role they audition for separately. I have yet to own a book on BSB but I already own one on Nick Carter and NKOTB, still waiting to be gifted one on BSB's true story, they want it to be an honest telling of their lives their music career their private lives and beyond behind the scenes, that authoer will be in for a treat if she enjoys boy and girl bands in general, she (or maybe a team of authors) will have to work hard on a book that every fan or music lover must own and read.
THEY FUCKING SLAYED THIS PERFORMANCE . CANT STOP WATCHING IT, THIS IS ONE OF MY FAVS PERFORMANCES EVER. AND YES THEY STILL SOUND SO FUCKING GOOD AND THEY LOOK SO FINE AS WELL .
Oh yeah I definitely have to agree with ya on this one! I wanted to learn about a band named *NSYNC but then remained a BSB and a new NKOTB fan. My cousins know how much I love both bands so they spoiled me with the album they worked on and released together the two bands sound awesome and new friendships between the two bands were born and stood the test of time. They all do their own thing but together they keep in touch. Social media or SKYPE is wonderful for this. I wanted to SKYPE with my cousins but the land line or cell phone is better, and we still send snail mail cards at special occasions and they give me gifts according to my interests and probably gift cards, maybe their shirts and CD's whenever I read online in an email about it. They know I love both boy bands but my loyalty is to BSB first, NKOTB second. But together I like both.
Spoken like a true music lover! Have been a HUGE BSB fan ever since their Everybody Backstreet's Back CD was in stores. I am more of a quieter behaved BSB fan but also have a thing for NKOTB. But BSB is #1 in my life of all things boy band mania (I enjoyed most British boy bands and girl bands on YTV's Hit List until they cut the show out the upcoming fall that year, Danielle wrote a post card back to me in the mail and told me the truth, signaling an end as a long time YTV's Hit List viewer). Who knew after learning their creator went to jail for boy band fraud for 15 years did I learn the honest truth about Louis Pearlman and the disbanding of *NSYNC but alas, I saved my *NSYNC CD's in a box in a case, and leaned to more mature BSB CD's (like DNA and A Merry Backstreet Christmas international version). I am lucky I have cousins who gift me shirts and CD's and an auntie who gifted me the NKOTB book 5 brothers and a million sisters, I had picked up that exact book and became an instant NKOTB fan but a quiet one. I never been to concerts (in my house I wasn't allowed to attend concerts, my mom tuned me in and said that is the devil's work). While it is, I believe I am more mature now as a BSB fan and NKOTB fan (I also have Nick Carter's solo first book which told the honest truth about BSB and his own dysfuntional childhood and their early boy band years and how they five learned to take control of their boy band music career, also discovering they could learn a new way of recording a CD during lock downs of Covid era, when they decided to put together DNA with splicing their voices and music into one CD. I also own the DNA and Christmas CD's, and waited for both Christmas seasons to have them ordered (my cousin had the means to have it gifted to me in my name). I have the BSB game and candle too, shirts, NKOTBSB shirt and NKOTB shirt through my close cousins and first cousin (his wife sent me one years ago), my mom not being thrilled with the number of boy band shirts in my closet space, but I don't care. I think our parents and guardians didn't understand our love of music when it sounded wild and bubble gum style. These singers/bands work hard and the books will tell the truth when they get the right author to write and tell their stories in book stores and such. I am so glad I can hand on to my youth and not be losing my head and hearing at loud concerts. I even had a sighting of *NSYNC in my city years ago (before not caring if Lance was gay or straight, my mom telling me he wasn't normal). That shouldn't matter if a singer is gay or straight once they open that mouth to sing if I enjoy it over and over again, all the rest in their personal life don't make a difference. I have Justin Timberlake's two solo CD's and I know he loved Britney Spears at one time (but the two remain good friends). These guys and gals worked hard to become famous but they enjoy it now on their own terms and by their rules, not the rules of the music industy. If it's good music I wild tell you if it is fake or original and cannot be duplicated or repeated, and these singers/bands remixes are awesome, the deejay's are great at mixing the tunes with the sped up vocals and instantly a whole new set of fans is born. We are more mature than back in our younger days. My maturity level is more mindful back then it was more the songs and grabbing whatever to videotape to show others how much I love these guys and girls. We ignored our parents opinions and kept on being fans. We loved them and remain fans forever.
what an epic performance!!! never seen a boyband that could sing and dance at the same time when i mean dance they got moves unlike 1D lol x just appreciated them now coz they are sooooo freaking gorgeous though they are in their 30's and 40's x
Wow!!!
I'm 50 years old and am still a BSB fan but only discovered I also am an avid fan of NKOTB. So when you have a thing and an ear and eye for good music, these bands are similiar to each other and the friendships will last forever, they keep in touch for anything music and if they wish to visit their families with their children and wives or girlfriends. The fans who were around the longest and the newest fans who just discovered these bands, are unusually honest and true fans. Forget the haters: these fans (me included) are reaching our 50's and we know a good song and music video and T.V. concert when we see it, for those who lived it live in person, kudos for your bravado and courage if you got to meet them at least once or more backstage and spending insance amounts of money to get that experience (some of them having one chance to see them on cruise ships and do the boy band theme activities) and trying to sneak some private moments when the security guards wished you would give them privacy in those moments. We did not care one iota if we got pushed away we think there is a way to get a private moment with one of em, why not all of them. If you lived a boy band sighting and didn't faint, congratulations. We all survived it then and now. The parents who are older don't realize we know it's become a family and friends thing. They were dead wrong and we still are all fans. This is history lived.
Fueron, son y serán los mejores por los siglos de los siglos. Es un privilegio haber vivido ambas épocas, tantas canciones llenas de recuerdos, esas voces espectaculares, demasiado talento. Jordan NKOTB y Nick y Kevin BSB mis amores platónicos 💕💕💕💕.
@im hungry, my daughter was totally into BSB, and I took her and my niece to several of their concerts. I enjoyed them as much as they did. What sets them apart is how they can come out again, after not touring, and all their fans are right back with them. Not only that, but they get a whole new following, because they’re just that good. It’s pretty ironic that I bought concert tickets for their shows for my daughter, and she just introduced their music to my grandson, her son! Now he’s enjoying their music. That’s how you can tell the great ones. They can be gone for a little while, come back, and it’s like they’ve never left. All the fans of the past are lining up with the new fans to show the love. 💕
Fantastic! NKOTB, Take That, Backstreet Boys.....all great! Now, as an 90s kid, I'd like there to be an NSYNC-reunion some day. I's sad, as they were probably the best boyband when it came to live performances. JT and JC complimented each other SO well! People have kind of forgotten NSYNC, and they shouldn't be...
Tenabrus17 Okay, I don´t count that is been a REAL reunion, JT played for like 15 minutes, and then the whole ´NSYNC were together for like 2 minutes at the end -I am talking a full concert -or maybe a tour ;)
Michael Holmgaard Some of us have never forgot. Im 33, seen them 17 times, met them once. I have seen all 3 and Nsync was my baby. As JT said, show them how its really done...
damn i wish i was alive when bsb and nkotb had just began their career..... its weird.... all my friends are like AAH TAYLOR SWIFT, JUSTIN BEIBER, ONE DIRECTION AAAAH and im like AAAAAAH BACKSTREET BOYS!!!! and my friends look at me like wtf?!!?!?
I had the pleasure of being around when they all started. the BSB vocals was a lot better back in the day. for real though. I still think they got lots of talent left. but if you look up the BSB in Orlando live. you would see there vocals are perfect and really live. NKOTB is actually better now then they was before. although I wish they would do all the old dance moves like they use to. they don't do as much with that anymore. but they do sing better then they did when they started. that's how I see it. Im a guy. but I have supported my hometown bands from Boston all my life I wasn't going to stop at nkotb. :)
TheMattd546 Of course, they still have the talents LOL They are ones of the real bands out there. NKOTB, BSB, N'Sync, B-Mak, B5, Youngstown, etc., even the mixed group Boyz N Girlz United too. The late 90's-early 00's groups are the best. But Nick, I'm more impressed of him than anyone else, because back then, his voice wasn't really that good, but while watching this and hearing him singing his line. I can really say, he improved so much!
I have to say that this concert with both boybands together was the BEST concert that I have ever been to. They played Fenway Park in Boston, MA and it was such a blast! I remember it started to rain which was even more fun because they were sliding up and down the stage and go so wet that some of them took of their shirts and it got even better!!! 🥵🤯🥵🤯
I felt I could not contain my joy when they made history as NKOTBSB. I did not videotape it, that performance is legendary. Nothing but mental memory will remind us as fans and music lovers the history was made that night.
THIS WOULD HAVE BEEN AN AWESOME SUPER BOWL HALFTIME SHOW!!
I think N'sync and BSB would be a better show personally since they were actually out at the same time and kinda rivals, but I agree with you too!

Verdade , yes
But together I like both.
this performance made history..my childhood ryt here.. thanx for this
never sees to amaze me. love both of those boy bands. But BSB #1 fan all the way.
Ceases***
Idc if I’m a 28 year old straight dude that typically loves techno and 80s rock. This shit was still badass and legendary
What a great performance! I luv u guys! BSB rocks!
what an epic performance!!! never seen a boyband that could sing and dance at the same time when i mean dance they got moves unlike 1D lol x
just appreciated them now coz they are sooooo freaking gorgeous though they are in their 30's and 40's x

Revisiting this in, 2019.The more I watch this the more I realize that they're ageless. They're the gold standard of boy bands.

I first seen nkotb when i was 15.... i'm almost 52, and i still love them ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I'm 50 years old and am still a BSB fan but only discovered I also am an avid fan of NKOTB.
Omg love it. My 16 yr old stepson just looked at me like I'm nut's... He just don't know
They dont know!!
Im 12.. i get it
Fueron, son y serán los mejores por los siglos de los siglos. Es un privilegio haber vivido ambas épocas, tantas canciones llenas de recuerdos, esas voces espectaculares, demasiado talento. Jordan NKOTB y Nick y Kevin BSB mis amores platónicos 💕💕💕💕.
Los mios tambien
I still can't get over this.
Como los vinos entre mas viejos mas buenos ... jordan knight desde los 90s ♡
I saw them back in 2011 in Nashville and it was EPIC! I love both groups by themselves but it was purely amazing when they joined forces.
Estas son las dos boys banda que mas me llamaron la atención en mis años de juventud.y ahorita no hay quien les iguale.gracias totales!.
The Worldtour was amazing!!! I saw it on Europe, 💥💥💥💥💯🎶👌✔️
My Guys the New Kids On the Block!!!!!
This was an amazing performance
Backstreetboys are back is my favourite Song ever.
WOW!! what a performance 👏👏 boy band heaven right here
Fantastic! NKOTB, Take That, Backstreet Boys.....all great! Now, as an 90s kid, I'd like there to be an NSYNC-reunion some day. I's sad, as they were probably the best boyband when it came to live performances. JT and JC complimented each other SO well! People have kind of forgotten NSYNC, and they shouldn't be...
they had a reunion last year dude
Tenabrus17 Okay, I don´t count that is been a REAL reunion, JT played for like 15 minutes, and then the whole ´NSYNC were together for like 2 minutes at the end -I am talking a full concert -or maybe a tour ;)
Michael Holmgaard Some of us have never forgot. Im 33, seen them 17 times, met them once. I have seen all 3 and Nsync was my baby. As JT said, show them how its really done...
This performance gives me goosebumps!
Still love watching this. And the guy from train singing his heart out
The best performance ever!!!
Two legend. .they're best boybands
damn i wish i was alive when bsb and nkotb had just began their career..... its weird.... all my friends are like AAH TAYLOR SWIFT, JUSTIN BEIBER, ONE DIRECTION AAAAH and im like AAAAAAH BACKSTREET BOYS!!!! and my friends look at me like wtf?!!?!?
I had the pleasure of being around when they all started. the BSB vocals was a lot better back in the day. for real though. I still think they got lots of talent left. but if you look up the BSB in Orlando live. you would see there vocals are perfect and really live. NKOTB is actually better now then they was before. although I wish they would do all the old dance moves like they use to. they don't do as much with that anymore. but they do sing better then they did when they started. that's how I see it. Im a guy. but I have supported my hometown bands from Boston all my life I wasn't going to stop at nkotb. :)
haha I go through the same thing, exactly what I say spend todon rare but I love these groups do not change and good for nothing I love him.
I can really say, he improved so much!
exactly... though my best friend is also a BSB fan like me and most of the students hate 1D
im hungry ikr
Awesome performance from New Kids On The Block and BackStreet Boys!!
Was at the same concert definitely a night to remember
❤ It's really great to see my 2 boy band groups singing together. I had goosebumps ❤
I felt I could not contain my joy when they made history as NKOTBSB. I did not videotape it, that performance is legendary. Nothing but mental memory will remind us as fans and music lovers the history was made that night.
Jesus. This is like the holy grail of boy bands
Yessss
Amen
Las dos mejores agrupaciones de pop en ingles de todos los tiempos... Una bomba y fusión muy interesante... Excelente!!!!!! I love them....
16 years old and I freaking love both these bands. I swear I should've been born in the 80's :)
Great Performance by all of them
