Rock It/Pack Attack's theme song is the best work of Josh Mancell. And now I believe that this one here is definitely worth standing side by side with the original.
We are a generation that came to love Crash Bandicoot and so many years (decades) after it's release we get to enjoy those remakes full of passion and love for the game we grew up with.WE are the ones that kept Crash Alive after all those years and this music is the very reflection of that spirit! I salute you Bandicoots!
Nice cover bro. You have brought me beautiful memories of childhood. I want to take advantage of telling you that I have some lofi remixes of the CTR in case you want to listen. Regards :)
I can't remember much of the originals but there's no doubt this brought to mind those moments of maximum joy when I played those classics, now I can't wait for the N Sane Trilogy! This was great, thanks for doing this!
Love how this starts of as something to mong out to, then in a beat at 1:02, goes full blast head banger anthem. Ya gotta do the Motorbike theme from Crash 3 soon.
Zak Ras It's technically been done alongside a previous video that collaborated the polar riding theme from CB2CSB and the motorbike theme into one video. On its own, yeah I agree that it should be done.
favorite track out of any original crash bandicoot title. Ive seen flawless piano covers but damn it this is so badass with the metal touch. I got goose bumps just the same... Dude thank you... and why does it have to end!? you should try to build off of this. it would be cool to end it with guitar work that stays true to the style of the riffs but own the ending with an original outro. Thumbs fucking up!
What can I say, it's not bad but it's also not "good". While I actually enjoy listening to this (alot), the feeling that I get from your other videos is either missing or barely expressed for this one. I can't say that I can do better (trust me, I really can't), but this is a great way to kick off a remix for 2017! Keep doing what you're doing and don't be overwhelmed by the idea of "I have to do this asap". Take your time and just have fun with it.
Whiplashed Trust me when I say that there's nothing wrong with this! I guess my opinion was interpreted wrong (I'm not one to state the point clearly). I think the intro threw me off which affected my overall view. In reality, I REALLY like this after waiting weeks for this to be released. In the end, I expected too much and that's my fault. You got talent man and this brings back extreme nostalgia. Is this remix bad? Not even close! :)
This is amazing!! My favorite soundtrack of the entire Crash games, the best. :) Can you do Rings of Power (I forgot the level name)? It's the only soundtrack not present in the soundtrack album honestly, because it's only used in one level maybe?
1. finish the mix: "it's great" 2. upload 3. wait a couple of days 4. listen to it again: "wtf was I thinking" story of my life... I guess it would be better not to upload it right away
Oh, tough for me to compare... I would rank this on par with Tolkoutonta's version of the piece, but I find this to be great as a stage level for a fighter. Who knows, possibly great for a level...
The arrangement rocks (super original pun) but what's going on with the mix? It sounds way muddier than your other ones and I hear tons of fizz in the high frequenzies and again I think the drums could be louder
idk it just sounds a lot messier than your other mixes and it's hard to hear what each instrument does, like the whole things blends together too much and forms a "boomy" wall of sound, idk how to describe it :/ and yeah, there's quite a lot of fizz too so maybe cutting some high frequencies would work? are you using high pass filter or something for the rhythm guitar, like cut anything below 80 or so? I've seen that being suggested a lot when browsing through several mixing guides

awesome, although I was hoping for some master sweeping in the intro xD
cool!
Thanks! :D
It would slay me if you do a rock version of Road to Ruin/Ruination.
Elliot Seabright Yes!!

after listening to this a bunch of times i think the mix is poor, may have to do it again in a year lol
1. finish the mix: "it's great"
2. upload
3. wait a couple of days
4. listen to it again: "wtf was I thinking"
story of my life... I guess it would be better not to upload it right away

I was missing your videos. I don't want to be a annoying guy, but will do a remix of N.Gin theme?
there's one in my big crash 3 video but I will make a proper version in the next couple of months
The arrangement rocks (super original pun) but what's going on with the mix? It sounds way muddier than your other ones and I hear tons of fizz in the high frequenzies and again I think the drums could be louder
Tremendouz I was dreading your comment lol, I dunno I changed my guitar tone I don't think its that muddy though?

Tremendouz listen to the master of puppets album by Metallica, that's the guitar tones I was using
