I'm just glad the final version didn't have "IQ" as a stat since IQ is a bunk method of measuring intelligence that only works within a small population.
Not to mention that F3/TES disposition of the world is very arbitrary (doesn't matter where thigs lie) whereas FNV/F1/F2 has meaningfully built world. If you wish, watch this video, it explains many things without some cheap hatred - ua-cam.com/video/wvwlt4FqmS0/v-deo.html
What nostalgia? I like F3, but it is TES design with Fallout proprieties. The world design between F3 and FNV is different, FNV's being very close to old Fallouts. No matter differences in technology or elementary game mechanics. F3/TES are multilinear games (many separated linear quests) where you can do anything an everything. FNV/F1/F2 are compact games with much more network-like structure (many things are interconnected) where you cannot do everything, you have to make choices.
@@resiseven7407 Copyright. I think they wanted to have some deal with Steve Jackson games, but SJG didn't know how Fallout was going to turn out so when they heard of some of the mature themes they backed out. I can't be positive that's what happened, but that's definitely what it looks like.
The robes simply rendered the Sneak skill virtually useless because it gave you the option of roaming freely around the two most dangerous locations in the game. I only ever used that skill to pickpocket ammo, meds and caps off of guards and mercs, and not once did I allocate any skill points for it. F1 is a remarkable game, but the integrity of its mechanics is at times questionable.
HAHA no... Take those nostalgia glasses off, If we went by your logic, Me and plenty of others would be into sports or something, Because the game mechanics would never advance.
dude new vegas is like a fallout 3 expansion. now calm that nostalgia boner. change is not always bad, and fallout 3 was much funnier and 50's style than new vegas

Three Dog Productions? Nice.
THATS where it came from! I knew 3Dog's own explanation for his name made no sense.
Real blast from the past.
Fallout 1 is the best IMO.
1:07 Holy shit, Eric Clapton! ;P
that 'guy with three names' is called harold, his tree growth is named bob, but he joked that its name was herbert
Such a shame they couldn't use GURPS for long...ah well, SPECIAL, system is just as good..hell even better.
+Noðhelm Hurlebatte if you re-read ny comment then you'll know lol
Well, the S.P.E.C.I.A.L. system is pretty good, isn't it?
I'm just glad the final version didn't have "IQ" as a stat since IQ is a bunk method of measuring intelligence that only works within a small population.
Would be nice to see the original GURPS build.
The fucking boom mic! Laughing my damn ass off.
Watch the boom mic scene in Kentucky Fried Movie. 🤣😂
Then you at least got to know some design principles upon which also the old Fallouts were built. And setting also.
Is this how english used to be in 90s?
@ProphetOfTheWord OMG. dont talk about Fallout if you knbow only Fallout 3

Set is the leader of ghouls in Fallout 1. You can see (and read about) him at Fallout wiki "The Vault"
ok
What Star Trek game is that?
It's the cancelled Star Trek: Secret of Vulcan Fury. It was in development by Interplay Entertainment from 1997 until its cancellation in 1999.
lol @ spinning zwischenspiel... everything is funnier in german
That opening 😂
Oh my, yes.

This fucking mic guy 🤣
Like how was that the best possible take of that scene
So did fallout 1 had the gurps system or not?
it was going to use the gurps system, but they changed it to special for one reason or another

hahah wtf the subtitles. you should check those...
That was hilarious! If I switch it to German it will botch Tim Cain's subtitles xD
@@FalloutFansEditor Aye, XD
Loved the first fallout but it was just as easy as the Beth games. You could beat fallout 1 as soon you got the CoC robes.

That's a horrible way to judge a Fallout game.
