Just got to see Nate perform in Grand Rapids, MI and you absolutely killed it! What’s even better is my wife, who could never understand why I was into comedy, left the show with a headache from laughing so hard. Thanks for helping me be right for the first time in my marriage!

Age has a lot to do with it too. I know of the Wu Tang, but I probably only know Method Man and Red Man (?) so I didn’t know Ghostface either. I’m same age as Bates.

I'm a real estate photographer and I was recently shooting some drone video at a mountain property in SC. A hawk came out of nowhere, attacked my drone, and it fell out of the sky into the woods. I let out a hearty "Hey Bear" before tromping through the brush trying to find it. The drone was lost forever, but there were no bear attacks that day.

I laughed so hard when Dusty said he panics a little bit when he can't find the head hole in a T-shirt. I definitely have that feeling, and have always worried I was being dramatic. I think it's the fact that I'm stuck and can't see, so I can't defend myself. I guess that's what happens when you grow up with an older brother.
Also, when Nate talked about hopping on a plane and shaking trash in the ocean, the motions he did with it were hilarious! It's the head bob and the fact that instead of just throwing the whole bag, he shook the trash out but kept the bag.

"Why wear a shirt with another man's name on it?" Asks the man wearing a professional sports jersey. The twist is of course that it is actually his name on the hockey jersey. Is it more awkward to wear another man's name or your own name on a professional sports jersey? (This of course excludes the actual professional athletes during competition.)
Nate's jersey was presented in a similar in manner to being awarded an honorary doctorate, does that make his jersey situation different? If he wore his new jersey in public would people (who didn't know his comedy) ask, "Is Bargatze that new rookie from Italy?"
I'd be interested to hear you fellows weigh in. We are all rooting for laundry anyway.
    I'll go proofread this now.
PS - I am sorry if my comment towards Aaron regarding "the bigger they are the harder they fall" came across as mean. That was not my intention at all and I should have chosen my words more carefully. I really enjoy everything Aaron brings to the table.

Dusty- I’m right there with you on not conjuring up dead folks!( no pun intended). When I was 10 years old, me and a friend were playing around with a Ouija board that she had. A lamp literally fell off the bedside table. We screamed and ran out of the room. Never again! Demons are real!

Hello folks and hey bear. Just wanted to point out that one of the many reasons the original Halloween is considered one of the best and possibly scariest movies of all time is director John Carpenter believed that not showing any gore/blood would elevate the element of horror. By the viewer having to imagine what the scene looked like, it force the them to create their own depiction thus creating a more personal and horrific experience. Much like how Nate always says being funny without all the cursing essentially creates better comedy. Great pod and enjoy the banter each week. BTW, the wife and I already saw Nate "murder" in Austin, TX and are excited to announce we are seeing him in Europe when we travel to the Netherlands next March.

Hey guys, last night I took my son to go see Anthony Jeselnik at Wise Guys in salt lake. He was hilarious and he told a story about his main interaction with Norm Macdonald. They were both hosting a stand-up comedy live show, I think it was stand up live and they did not get along well with each other at all, constantly bickering and arguing. Towards the end of the run of the show they started getting along a little bit better and they were both going to do interviews on Larry King live, and Norm had the idea that they should both absolutely tear into each other and talk about how much they hated each other. So Anthony Jeselnik went on Larry King first and fairly ripped Norm Macdonald a new one explaining how horrible he was to work with and what a terrible person he thought he was. And then it was Norm's turn to go on and Larry said so Norm what do you think of Anthony Jeselnik and he said "I think he's just a great guy, just really a wonderful human being."
Just wondering if you have ever been royally set up like that by any other comedians and if so when?
Thanks for all the great work that You, Aaron, Dusty, and And Baked Beans O'Brisket put in every week, making our weeks, as listeners, a whole lot better!

If Nateland were a horror film in the making, the foreshadowing scene is DONE! I had to watch section 1:16:20 to 1:17:30 about a dozen times because I was laughing so hard! Nate says they tried out the ghost recorder and Dusty's tone responding "oh no." Cut to Barth, with the Sour Patch Kids next to his head, offering a serious anecdote about a podcaster that "got too close." Aaron arrogantly offers to watch the deadly movie. Dusty shaking his head the whole time, adding "Yeah, we're not supposed to be contacting the dead" and sips coffee. I haven't watched a scary movie since Blair Witch but I would make an exception for this one. RIP Aaron, you should've listened to Pastor Dusty! Love y'all! Because of my crazy life it takes me a day or 2 to finish an episodes sometimes. Every time I dive back into this episode, seeing dark-haired Garth throws me for a loop and I burst out laughing. The likeness is jarring 😂

Same! I'm listening and watching in between work and making dinner and driving carpool! And when you see Barth again, you can't look away! LOL!!!

I haven’t been listening for long but really enjoy the podcast. I liked the making the fudge story but how did eavesdropping a conversation in line at a bank, turn into, “running into a lady.”?
Also I just figured out that you read comments off UA-cam, so you may want to say that for us newbie’s.
    Hey Bear!

Hello folks! I once saw Dusty open for Brent Chrysler at the Paramount Theater in Austin in 2018ish. Dusty was trying to walk in the front door and the usher told him performers needed to enter the performer's entrance in the back. Didn't know Dusty's comedy at the time, but have followed him since.

IN OUTER SPACE the only baseball pitch that could ever possibly be thrown is a FASTBALL. The velocity may vary, but you ain't throwin' the change-up in a vacuum, hey bear? Love you guys. Always make me laugh. I think I saw Dusty peeing outside.

Discovered your comedy a few weeks ago and really enjoy it. Very laidback style and yes I’m having a good time at age 65!

Ticketmaster has lost it. Just looked up two tickets for the Bridgestone show. Total fees (in addition to ticket prices) was $81.51. Service fee $56.80, facility charge $14, Order Processing $5.45, and a tax of $5.26. Love Nate and all the Folks, but I'll have to enjoy this one on Netflix or wherever it comes out.

My friend's and I used to have a dumb gag where we'd tell each other we were bad at doing things that don't require skill. I'm certain that "you suck at sitting in that chair" came up at least once.

When I was seven years old, my mom let me watch The Ring for the first time. She warned me that it was scary, but I didn't want to seem like a chicken, so I decided to watch the whole thing with her. Biggest mistake ever. I was so traumatized by it; I couldn't be near a television for a few days afterwards.

The story with the guy not having a tongue and breaking out of their tent... It's call Dyatlov's Pass. It's a fascinating tale... Spooky as heck, they were all super experienced hikers and there's a military base near where they were camped... They're group all camped together then something freaked them and they were found dead in groups all over the place, missing parts and clothes and such... Prob was the wind causing some inner ear madness but still weird story. Those Conspiracy Guys have an episode about it

I have a divine intervention story for you :: I met my wife while I was in college, the summer after my sophomore year at Georgia Southern. After we had been dating a short while we realized that our first two years of college we had been hanging around the same places all the time, including at a house party that was held after every home football game, and it wasn't a big house. We don't drink and were probably the only two sober people at the party and yet we never met or even saw each other. I genuinely believe we were meant for one another but God didn't let us meet until I could grow up and mature enough for her to tolerate me. We've been together for 17 years now, married for 13, and have an amazing 4yr old little girl.
