MAN!!! The memories this movie brings back!! I remember my mom bought me a frisbee, I thought it was a glaive, I would get into trouble for throwing it at my sisters..
😂 cool story about your sisters used as Glaive target practice! fond memories for me, especially Xmas day, this and the empire strikes back. 80’s kids had the best ❤
Yeah but it didnt do sheeit at the end. It was the fire of love that killed the beast. I hated this ending. They could have done so much more with that throwing blade. But NOPE....SORRY....THE BLADES DIDNT DO SHEEIT. MAN I WAS SO MAD AT THUS ENDING. I HATED IT.
@@poorcollectibles4827 Actually, the Glaive did its job. It helped Colwyn in fighting the Slayers. It cut through the prison that Lyssa was held in. I agree, though, it would have been nice to have seen more footage of the Glaive. The reason why there weren't any additional scenes with the Glaive is due to cost. The special effects at the time were state of the art, and it cost a fortune to shoot the Glaive scenes that were already there.
You all know someone is going to remake this thing, BECAUSE THERE IS AN INCOMPREHENSIBLE, UNHEALTHY OBSESSION WITH MOVIES FROM THE 1980s. It's like all original creative thought died at midnight on December 31, 1989.
Holy cow!, I never would have guessed Eddington was the same person. Watched DS9 multiple times (I own the series) and never recognized him as the same person.
Great movie, absolutely love 💕 Lysette Anthony, First time seeing Liam Neeson , Hagrid young and without a beard ,that's Robbie Coltrane . Toby Jones ,being called "The Old One" even forty years ago😂
The movie where the main hero was an unlikeable D-bag yet every supporting character, monster, prop, and setting as well as the score was totally fantastic.
What do mean? The Glaive was legendary, like no hero ever before or since. He heroically sacrificed himself so the sidekick could get the girl! Now he waits until he is needed and sought out once more.
What a waste of a movie. I thought that was going to be the star of the movie....NOPE IT WAS FAKE FIRE OF LOVE WHY THE F PUT THIS AWESOME BLADE THING IN THE MOVIE IF YOU KNEW IT WASNT GOING TO KILL THE BEAST?!?!?! I ABSOLUTELY HATED THIS ENDING. FIRE OF LOVE KILLED THE BEAST. F THAT. THIS MOVIE SUCKED. THAT BLADE THROWING STAR WAS FREAKING AWESOME. IN THE END THE POWER OF THE BLADE ENDED UP NOT DOING SHEEEE IT. I WAS SO PO'ED AT THE END OF THIS MOVIE. LMAO. 😂😂😂
This movie is still so beautiful.

I know the movie was a flopp..But was the childhood of a lot of us!
80's movies were the best!
Lol , one of the very few movies that makes me feel like kid again😅 love it.
The music for this scene is awesome.
My absolute favorite 1980's fantasy SCIFI movie with the coolest weapon ever... THE GLAIVE!

Actually have the original Krull movie poster in my office. My most nerd iut swag I own and its oh so drippy with nostalgia.
Beautiful score brilliant memories as a kid, you actually cared about the characters in this movie, the firemares are my favourite
3:39 Love this moment where Ynyr just takes in the view.
Would like a faithful remake, and brief comic book based series. The movie was fantastic.
The Glaive: best weapon ever!!!
This was Horner at his finest.

Watched in the theater back in the 80s! Very...Vagnerian!
"oh that's beautiful, it's so..." SCHWING "AAAAAHHHHHH, my hand, oh my god my hand, my fingers, it chopped my fingers off, AAAAAHHHHHH"
And to think that by the time Marshall played Eddington on DS9, which was roughly 10 years later - that luscious hair was almost gone.
Holy cow!, I never would have guessed Eddington was the same person. Watched DS9 multiple times (I own the series) and never recognized him as the same person.
I recognized Ken Marshall’s voice and those cheekbones when I first saw Michael Eddington. Too bad about the hair.

Hello friend morning! I saw only One time and don't remember Tha scenes but was a cool adventure!
Like Daniel Grillo nickname Saluditos!
I like how he has to pull up his shirt sleeve so as to not get it wet by the lava lol.
clothes can catch fire....
@@DaneofHalves I mean, usually.
can DEF hear distinct Wrath of Khan themes, which he did the previous year. 5:59
Oh goodness…they are going to reboot this movie
Oh boy another thing ruined by a modern remake.
Nope. No true word of a reboot. Just hearsay.
I hope not.
Really?
By the Glaive, I hope not.
The predator also had a similar weapon as the glaive.
It’s not lava… it’s glowy steamy water! Good for bathing after a long climb up the mountain
Lot of the cast reappears in the Dune by David Lynch.

For a very long time, I believed that the cross boomerang in Castlevania was based on the glaive here
Nice.
esa lava era una ilusion o realmente era inmune a ella eso nunca lo he entendido

Now listen to the so*Star Trek: The Wrath of Khan." almost identical.
It’s really not. But it’s definitely Horner
2 blave means to bluff which means he was in a poker tournament and he cheated !!! Liar liar’er !!!
